My suggestion doesn't require anything like re-doing 4 years of work Where the hell did you get that from? I'm simply encouraging re-evaluation. Someone uses a very old and over-powered custom in battle? Pull them aside after the match and ask them politely to resubmit it for evaluation. It's simple. Mods don't even have to search/check/whatever, because the responsibility for pointing out extreme techniques would be in the hands of the community.

Who is going to pull the members to the side and say that there jutsu needs re-evaluting?
And if you said that to older members, they will just ask why their jutsu are being singled out and why isn't A, B and C's jutsu being rechecked?

Also mods have enough work on their hands with all the work there is to do already.

Anyone can become powerful, they just need to spend time on the base. The older generation just spent more time then our newer generation. Plus, occasionally an OP jutsu may pass through, but It's just the nature of things. Unfortunately, the Mods are overworked and will naturally miss little things occasionally (They are only human). Anyway, people shouldn't lose sight of the fact that they rp to have fun.

As Pervy said in the begining we forget the fun.
As we have seen in the manga people there get hit.But here?No.Everybody will use F rank tech just so that he will avoid close combat fight or his opponent is about to hit him with a fist.This makes the fight unrealistic and very "heavy" in meaning that you know your opponent is gonna start argue soon.
"No you cannot hit me.Imposible.I used 3xF ranks,jumped away etc."
I surely hope this gets changed soon cause when you start with building up,let's say freeform then kenjutsu then nin if you like.It will be very interesting for both players if they just start as in the anime/manga.not try to kill eachoter with F ranks from he start.Your opponent wants to fight realistic and if you use taijutsu on him he says that you hit him and while flying bacwards he maybe does some freeform movements to get stable again.But if he tryes to hit you.Spikes,raining meteors,genjutsu,shadow clones even Amaterasu if you have it just not get hit!
I really hope this changes.

What you don't realise is you want to take away peoples customs, their signatures, their definition in the rp and change it just because you think it's OP.

Instead of moaning, why not prove yourself and beat those customs? xd That's always a fun thing to do, instead of moaning, trying to create more work for mods. How many people with OP customs like that do you fight in the rp? I've seen one custom which isn't restricted much and that's the partical armour, i know, i can use it, but i don't i also explained it's weakness. That medjutsu that nexus created, i explained that weakness, you can't attack while it's active, meaning you can't win.

HOW TO MAKE RP FUN

Starting first with the size of the heading of this post, it really catches attention. My apologies if it sounded rude but what I am going to add will ease the pain. RP of Nb was really becoming boring for everyone in past days, old gens, mid gens, while the new ones mindlessly make threads or asked for trainings, that was all there was left to it. But how I made it fun for myself was to RP with those people who I will definitely find "FUN" to Rp with. Who I know will use crazy OP techniques and I will epicly counter them or take them through my heart making the most awesome story fight ever. I am recently fighting A VERY NEW Rpier, and having fun, why? Because I know I won't use weird ass OP moves against him because he does not have those. And we both will have fun.

What causes these kind of threads to come in existence is search for power, usually when the tournaments sprout up they make people fight those who the person didn't really chose to fight thus seeing what one doesn't have he desires that, if he cant have that he wants other to not have. A simple way of putting how human minds work. But if RP is really all about fun you should try to do your best and I am sure other person will follow.

One of the Rpiers I greatly admire is Scary Yamato, the only one in old gen I see who can really "create" RP out of nothing, be someone like him who makes other enjoy the fight, and when it comes down to winning chose loosing over it, if you can sacrifice win you can really enjoy the time you spend on RPing.
