well when it comes down to these two people to say itaichi can just use Amaterasu or Tsukuyomi then the 4th will be done just means you really underestimate minato and as we dont know the full extent of the 4th and his sealing we cant say to much as the only fights we have seen him do is fight fox and a short fight with tobi so its not much to go on, and the Mangekyō applys strain on itaichi so if he would mess up then minato will have plenty of time to attack, but itaichi isnt dumb id say his intelligence is on the same level as the 4th.

he was careful around itachi cause itachi is one of concern but itachi couldn't beat him (unless it was a long plan ... i think ) , i dont think so .... i'd say itachi has a 15% chance of victory .

And, since 9/10 minato fans make outragious claims about their beloved character, they take the other 1/10 with them, making them look incapable of intelectual thought, as themselves. So, even if you belong to the 1/10 of minato fans that aknowlage he is just a mid to good kage level, and not the "god of all shinobi" as the other 9/10 represent him, the others have made a bad name for minato fanboys already... However, if you prove you are a logical minato fan, and not just a fanboy, I'll respect you, and maybe even +rep you It all depends from your answear to this question:

Who can win battles against more people or who can win in a fight?

Minato has less variety of skills than Orochimaru, but what he does excel in, he is far better than Orochimaru.

itachi performs seals faster than minato

minato can get away from all itachi's techs except gen jutsu we have no idea how minato can deal with gen so really no ones knows.

That's tough oro is one of the most underrated characters he has alot of jutsu at his disposal .... minato is one of the greats ... i dunno its a tough match up but i'd go with minato because oro left akatsuki because he could have his way with itachi and given that fact i'd say he can't match up to tobi ... and minato held his own against tobi ... but not only that minato out shined the legendary sannin .... his name was more feared so i think he'd win but it would be tough

I do not agree minato can beat Oro, at least not at his full power (with the help of the Edos). Still, I'll +rep you, just because your post was based on logic, not fanboism, and you recognise that the fight betwin Tobi and minato was not fought all the way, and could end up either way (when you say "held his own against "). Well Orochimaru has several people that he would lose to that Minato wouldn't if solely for the reason of his ST and his ability to dodge and create barriers.


For instance, Onoki. Large scale slow attacks are perfect for Minato as he can create a ST barrier and redirect it at the opponent who wouldn't expect to have their own attack thrown back at them.

Or Bee, with his TBB.

Orochimaru can't survive those level of attacks but Minato could either by using FTG to dodge them or to send them back at the opponent.



The Naruto world is all about match ups. Minato's abilities (that have been shown, he obviously has more than just FTG and Rasengan and a few sealing jutsu) make him a better opponent against many upper level ninjas than Orochimaru is.

I'm not counting anyone below kage-level though because obviously anyone below kage-level isn't really much of a threat to Minato or Orochimaru.


So my whole point is that if you were to pair up Orochimaru and Minato against other top 20 ninja, Minato would have better chances than Oro against most of them.

I agree, Minato has feats that allows him to handle a lot more situations than Orochimaru, but I think there are characters who Oro has better chances at beating than Minato, such as; 3rd Raikage, Danzo, etc.

Bee i feel could lose to either of them, both Oro and Minato has the tools to defeat him. Now, as far as Muu or Onoki I dont see Oro being able to dend that, that I do agree with as well. However, I dont really see Minato defeating them really neither.
