Itachi is the prodigy of the uchiha clan right along shisui and 98% of the characters can't and wouldn't be able to take him on.
Let me start it out on his speed combined with his stealth surpasses mostly everybody else. Here you can see Itachi sneak up behind killer bee properly where as minato couldn't. No I am not saying Itachi is faster then Minato just his stealth is better as you see below Minato had not realized that killer had a knife towards his gut until it was too late.

Itachi's Taijutsu is also incredible he was able to go head to head with Rikudō mode naruto as were Kisame fused with Samehada started gushing blood after one hit. While Itachi was fightning naruto killer bee did try to swing at him while his back was turn and stilled missed, Killer continued fightning Itachi with that same 7 sword attack which even sasuke couldn't go against which itachi easily dodged.

Itachi's Amaterasu is a technique far beyond anybody normal can handle, the technique mostly no one has a chance against it even though garra sand block against a small amount of Amaterasu against a large scale his sand would have no chance. When Pein attacked the leaf village his summoning dog was ripping everything thing apart from jounin,Anbu, & Toad summoning no one was able to stop it but Itachi was able to with a simple Amaterasu. Itachi's fight with sasuke wasn't he sick and dieing at the time and look towards the large scale of flames he was able to pull out even after casting a weak Tsukuyomi & Genjutsu and using two crow clones before that plus a genjutsu on naruto.

Itachi's Genjutsu well lets be real with this one that's his specialty i've seen people say that he wasn't able to cast genjustu long range. When Itachi went to speak to Naruto that was a crow clone not the real Itachi , the real one was at the Uchiha hideout so what does that make it a short range or long range genjutsu? He even mocked Kurenai Yūhi countered genjutsu her and she's the is suppose to be the best genjutsu user in the hidden leaf.He's defeated Naruto,Kakashi,Orochimaru,Sasuke, Kurenai and countless ninja just with Genjutsu

Here Itachi's senses orochimaru techinque says i know this feeling , He knew Orochimaru was in Sasuke the whole time while Karin didn't and she's a sensor but she felt the kyuubi's deep dark chakra inside of naruto when he meet her.

the only thing it changed is that now there is a proof about Minato base speed being really formidable, if not the best one. Nothing else thought.

What a drag... Another thread with no new arguments.. Only posts worth reading were Namikaze's and Blaze's posts in the first pages.. Let this issue die! A fight between Minato and Itachi will depend only in exterior facts. Intent, knowledge, physical/chakra condition and terrain. There is no point on arguing any further. Every scenario one side can imagine can be countered with the other's side scenario, i.e. Itachi uses Tsukuyomi from the start will always be countered with Minato uses his speed from the start and takes Itachi's head off. Despite what each side can say both scenarios are highly plausible and fairly truthful, the punch line being that..... We Will Never Know.
It was a large post... Science has proved that the average "minato fanboy" can't rear more than 3 lines in consecution!

i said that yea because i think in a serious match up tobi would kill itachi , tobi looks like the type to keep people who are weaker than him around so he can dispose of them if it comes to that
he was careful around itachi cause itachi is one of concern but itachi couldn't beat him (unless it was a long plan ... i think ) , i dont think so .... i'd say itachi has a 15% chance of victory .
and has tobi ever shown all his mangekou powers ???
