Well what no one seems to understand is that Kisame could have actually killed Guy right there. After Guy had him knocked to the ground and Kisame was in the mokuton thing locking him down, Kisame put everyone into a water prison. He could have killed him right there had he so chosen.
And had Kisame known his shark wouldn't absorb afternoon tiger then I am sure he would have moved so he wasn't hit directly by hit. There was plenty of time for him to move because they both said several lines before either one hit. And if Kisame didn't take a direct hit then he would be fine because as we saw he can still do all that other stuff after taking a direct hit from afternoon tiger so if that didn't happen then the fight would go on longer and hurt Guy's chances even more.

no one knew that kisame was able to just wake up, it was a suprise guy could have killed him while he was unconscious but did not cos he wanted info. he can't dodge becos he has to power his own jutsu and if he didn't afternoon tiger would have instantly blew him up becos it is really fast attack which is just a fast punch with a lot of pressure and could have overwhelmed his shark missile more easily and destroyed him further than he already was.

he has to power it look at kisame's hands they are using chakra to create the force/power of the shark missile, if he does not then the shark is weaker and even easier to break by the afternoon tiger and even easier to get hit since afternoon tiger is fast.
And the blast is huge and would severly injure kisame no matter what

it is an instant attack broke through the shark missile pretty fast and it created a huge explosion kisame couldn't have really done anything
here guy explains how it is instant and the pressure blows up instantly.

kisame is not fast enough to dodge it. And u said he still did amazing things after he got hit by it but that was after he was uncncious for like 15 minutes, he is extremely weak after getting hit that he could not stand up and all guy had to do was punch him to make kisame go unconscious.

Im inclined to go for Kisame, as much as I like Gai, I dont think Gai would win with Kisame weilding Samehada. What hasn't been mentioned is that is guys fire jutsu's can evaporate water, though in the end Kisame can just redo the justu and has too much chakra.

Actually there was plenty of time to dodge it, are we reading the same manga? They both said lines and waited for their attacks to meet. The scenario for this thread was that they both have full info, so if Kisame knows that Guy only uses taijutsu then he would never have tried that attacks and he would never have been in that position. And actually it wasn't like 15 minutes later because Guy still hadn't collapsed from using the Gates, it was more like a minute or two. And yes Kisame could still move even though that is irrelevant as he would never have been in that position in the first place.
So yeah with the situation laid out like the thread creator made it, Kisame wins because as I see it, having info would help Kisame more as he can change his style while Guy would still be using taijutsu. And no Afternoon Tiger is not instant as you keep saying because if you read the manga pages you will see that he also takes time to use it, and they both had time to speak and wait for their moves to collide. Sorry for reiterating that point but you made it abundantly clear that you think it is instant.
If there wasn't a story and Guy wasn't destined by Kishi to win then Kisame would beat him. Unfortunately that would never happen though I would like to see an Edo Tensei Kisame kill Guy, that would be a fitting end for Guy.

sorry to say this but gai does not use chakra so kisame cant suckout his chakra gai uses extremly fast tai jutsu

As someone said it the chakra is outside the body it might make it easier to absorb the chakra in big lumps like it did Bees 8tails chakra
they say like one line and if kisame has to use his tech did you not see his hands in the link clearly manipulating the water which otherwise would not create a shark missile he is not jiust standing there for no reason, and the attack was shown to be fast all there is one line(said by guy) everything else were thoughts. and then the explosion happened and there are no speed feats shown by kisame to dodge anything of that size that fast so until seen otherwise he can't dodge anything that fast. And the reason it was not as fast as instantb is becus it collided against the huge shark missile. guy mentions the tech is instant after he beats kisame, so unless you are saying guy is lying(which doesn't happen often in naruto actually never really happened other than madara lying to sasuke).

read the whole page carefully my friend they don't even share lines, guy says howl my youth and kisame is powering the jutsu and just thinks not really talks and gets hit pretty fast cos the afternoon tiger went straight through and kisame can't dodge an explosion that comes from it that fast without being heavily injured. And theere was only manga page they didn't wait for it to attack, and read the next page it was extremely big explosion which no way in hell kisame would avoid fast enough and would get injured heavily and much slower after which guy just has to take him out with taijutsu
Show me proof where it is not instant cos even though it collided with kisame's "ultimate" attack it easily passed through to make an explosion pretty damn fast and created a big blast on the next page really fast. so stop thinking the attack is not fast when it actually is. Stop blaming the writer and story just becos the character you like more just lost. It is just part of the story. And only one thing is clear from this you made it clear you "don't want" the attack to be fast even tho it was only one page and big explosion afterwards, not to mention it slowed down by kisame's strongest water tech the shark missile and still was fast.

with kisame fused with samaheda guy will be no problem. kisame is way better. i give this mild difficulty. ask urself would bee beat gai? yes and didnt kisame beat bee? yes so kisame beats gai. waterdome will drown gai. his chakra will be sucked up in no time. if u think gai wins then ur a newb

as i said newb. none of gais hits will hurt. chakra is what makes u punch harder and he will absorb the chakra on contact. gai is a pillow and kisame is the chainsaw. who will win?
