Actually Neji said that Kisame had more chakra then naruto did at the chuunin exams, and Naruto was using a little bit of the nine-tails chakra. He wasn't at a full tail or anything just a cloak but you also have to remember that Neji was looking at a 30% chakra clones of Kisame who didn't even have the real Samehada. Kisame has a ton of chakra.

even if kisames dome breaks apart he can still go into the earth and stay their until the blast ends

The gates cannot be overrated because we have not seen the true power of the 8 gates formation, which means ALL gates will need to be opened. A technique that is considered a kinjutsu because it drains a persons life force is powerful for a reason. Its the user of the gates that may make or break the technique.
A person skilled in the ways of the physical arts will know how the gates will affect them and when to use such power. A person unskilled in such ways will no doubt squander such power.
kisame does have a lot and i think naruto's chakra reserves got bigger after he got older and naruto is also terrible at chakra control so he loses a lot of chakra and nine tails takes some of naruto's chakra too, but actually naruto,kisame nagatao and A are probably have the biggest chakra reserves on the show.

i told u why that doesn't work didn't I in the post, the reason is by the time kisame tries to even go underground, guy's attack would be really fast becus the pressure explodes in an instant and kisame can't avoid that.

i personally feel Gai is overated but was perfect to beat up kisame ... Firstly nowhere is it mentioned how fast you go when you release the gates ... so lets not compare to ftg ... "A"... or naruto sennin mode ... for all we know its jus as good enough ... Samehada is good ... but it worksamazin against ppl with a lot of chakra ... Gai is skilled in taijutsu ... but so is kisame ... but Kisame is not upto Gai's speed in the gates mode ... remember Gai fightin the 30 % clone was able to take Samehada away with normal taijutsu ... and help of his team .... so i dont see how kisame would be able to hang on to Samehada while Gai is poundin on his ass ... Someone said samehada can suck all of gai's chakra even in gate mode ... then why didnt this happen in the 30% clone fight ... Plus afternoon tiger was jus invented by kishi to specifically use on Kisame ... it clearly counters Shark missile .. and Kisame would not expect that ... I really think Kisame is good and is really underated by a lot of ppl ... but against Gai 100% or 200 % i stil feel Gai pwns Kisame but Barely

Team Gai had also fought kisamea after fighting themselves from a barrier jutsu so they were also weakened

kisame can use the water bullet like he did before from it (i know afternoon tiger will canel it out though) kisame can take advantage of tha and go underground kisame had some time to explain about the technique i cant see why he cant just take advantage of it and go under water
i agree that kisame is a monster he beat bee without getting hurt to a great extent. kisame's combination of water dome and samehada would beat a lot of ppl and his water style jutsus are also very good. But guy and his techs are like the perfect counter to his abilities and he can pull out a win.

dude water bullet is not strong enough and afternoon can go through it easy and still explodes fast and he would get injured no matter what dude the blast is crazy he can't go underground that fast the tech is instant. he would suffer a lot of damage but won't die but a tech like morning peacock can finish him off.

if kisame is in the water i think he can go fast plus like you said gai will be on the ground in the water because of the seperation and i agree afternoon tiger is stronger than the water bullet but kisame could be on the ground at the time when he uses water bullet of 1000 hungary sharks and can just drop into the earth it took time for the punch to beat the bullet so kisame can travel down that fast
plus even if kisame some how gets into the blast he can use samehada to give him more chakra for stamina
and im going to bed we can continue this tomorrow if you wish

he is in the water but not as fast as instantly, i said air becos all it is a fast punch and it doesn't matter if he in water the punch is just pressure it can travel in water and air and can blow up instantly, kisame can't use a tech and use another tech to go underground that fast he will definitely be caught in the blast the afternoon tiger would easiily overwhelm a weaker attack like water bullet. Dude it is so unlikely for him to avoid it that fast and by a miracle he gets an inch or foot into the ground the blast still blows him away look at all the water from the bottom lake coming out, he would be injured heavily.

u ca see that how big this is no way kisame can go into underground that fast in the first place but he won't get close to as far from avoiding this.
And the aftershock can even be felt by ppl far away like naruto, bee and yamato. so a guy that is just directly under it(very unliklely due to speed of the jutsu and also the fact that he has to use two techs) would definitely get injured heavily. BTW Kisame can't use his own chakra to heal himself.

You are missing my point, you said that Kisame's huge chakra was just due to his having Samehada. If you want I can go get that quote.
My point was that Kisame has more chakra than all but a few characters. And to the the guy who said that "Why didn't Kisame just suck out his chakra when he fought Team Guy", it is because that wasn't actually Kisame and it wasn't actually Samehada, unless you think that Kisame would give Samehada to some fake clone of his with 30% chakra.

Where are you getting the bolded part from? I was under the impression that Samehada used chakra to heal Kisame, it doesn't matter where that chakra comes from.

the sword has to have chakra in it to heal its user, it absorbs chakra from others and gives it to kisame to heal. that is why he mentions the stronger the opponent the stronger i get becos he takes more and more chakra from them to heal. I am not completely sure of this i will go check back. But nonetheless guy would most likely win the fight.

i understand that he already has a large amount of chakra, but he can gain much more through samehada. Im saying that he can't gain as much when using it on a person who uses little to no chakra based jutsu, like taijutsu, outside of the body.
that's true chakra he also has chakra limiters to repress his chakra and use mostly his physical power, and he is also considerably faster than kisame so samehada is not nearly as effective as it is in his usual fights.
