guy wins the battle but would be exhausted like crazy. in land guy has a huge advantage, that is his speed. kisame can't compete with, but kisame can use water dome but that can be got out of instantly when he releases 7th gate he has an aura that repels water and with that he can go in the air and make a finishing move with afternoon tiger on the water dome and the attack is very fast becos all it is a fast punch and all the pressure explodes in an instant and making a huge shock wave which would heavily injure kisame, after which guy can finish him off with taijutsu or morning peacock.

this is the shock wave and kisame would get injured a lot and would weaker and slowed down easy for guy to get the kill

here he explains how the attack is an instant.

with prior info on smaehada and its abilities guy can take this fight with high difficulty and exhaustion

Samehada seems to only be able to absorb chakra on contact if the target has a chakra cloak or something like A's lightning armor

"However, it seems to be unable to automatically absorb ambient chakra, in all instances where it's absorbed chakra are when his opponent had a visible aura around them"
From wiki

Just wanted to point that out
Actually that is untrue, Samehada can absorb it from just touching the person. Go reread the chapter where Itachi and Kisame confront Naruto and Sasuke in Part 1. Kisame starts to steal Naruto's chakra and he doesn't have on a chakra cloak.

I know my Naruto.

yea that's tru he also gets suigetsu's chakra like that, but i don;t think he can take ppl's chakra as fast as he did to bee becos bee's was an outer layer and would be easier to absorb. like for example suigetsu didn't lose all of his chakra at once.

But was he being serious then? You have to ask yourself that. Was he actually looking to fight Suigetsu or did he just not care? In my opinion he didn't care either way.

yea that is probably tru but i am pretty sure he can't suck all of the chakra in an instant like he did to bee which was outer covering of his body, but we can't be sure.

I believe that you guys are seriously overrating kisame and underrating the 8 gates. Kisame only sheds off a certain amount of chakra when it is not in huge quanities that are surrounding the body. Thats why the more chakra a person uses in a jutsu the more he can abosrb. The chakra limiters in the gates merely limit the overall flow throughout the body which means that he still may be able to take a considerable amount of chakra, but not enough to completely drain a person in one touch because it is still within the body. Also kisame becomes faster through the chakra he steals from his opponents. If a person uses soley taijutsu, which uses little to no chakra, against a person whose attacks are based upon the absorption of others chakra, then the result is minimal chakra is stolen while maximum damage is dealt to the person trying to absorb their opponents chakra. Also if the gates were so useless, then why doesn't everyone use it even though every person is capable of it? It increases a persons strength, speed, and stamina to 100% at the cost of the persons body because it is so powerful. Most jutsus like the raikages lightning armor and tsunades punches are used to enhance upon ones base strength and speed while this jutsu is using the persons full potential base speed and strength. Having kage level speed and strength can be very useful against opponents who can drain your chakra by touching you.
Lets not forget that samehada is pretty much essential to almost all of kisames techniques, so if gai disarms kisame at any time then the balance is dramatically shifted in his favor. I'm not saying that kisame is weak, it's just that his techniquies are near useless against a person who doesn't utilise chakra anywhere near as much as any other shinobi and has that much power at their disposal.

tru but he can''t go to 8 gates and his stamina decreases as a trade off for incredible power. but don't forget his attacks they are pretty incredible and a really good counters to kisame.

And you are apparently underrating Kisame by a lot. Kisame is very fast, very strong, has a ton of water jutsu, summons that are pretty useful, shark jutsus, plus he can transform into a shark version combined with Samehada, how is Guy going to separate him then?

Kisame also has a ton of chakra. Everyone overrates Guy in my opinion. So he boosts his speed to it's max, if other people have a higher potential max then they still beat him even without using the gates. Look at Naruto, he is using alot of chakra to boost his speed more than Guy and Naruto still has those chakra gates blocking him from most of his chakra. Same with Bee and A, Bee is using the eight tails chakra to go faster and he isn't using his max potential but he is still faster than Guy. And A, A has way more chakra naturally then Guy and look at him, he is faster without the gates as well.

I understand that he can't reach the 8th gate im just saying in general that a person using the 8 gates should be a force to be reckoned with. And by the way his stamina does increase, its just that he cant remain in the gates formation for too long before it completely tears his body apart.

And as a side note we have not seen how powerful the eight gates formation truly is because we have not seen all of them open at once. It is said that the 8th gates power surpasses all of the previous levels because then it literally drains the person life force. The power of a persons combined power in a whole lifetime would no doubt be one of the most powerful techniques a person could ever learn

The combined power of a person from their entire life will always beat anyone who is not also using that same power or borrowing form a power source that could be considered that great like a tailed beasts. The 8 gates are something only a person who trained exclusively in taijutsu, an almost purely physical art, could manage, which no one but gai, lee, kakashi, and a few other unnamed shinobi have done. Plus gai has a naturally large reserve of chakra which is only beaten by naruto, kisame, and the raikage. All-in-all, it means that if he used the same techniques other people use to increase thir speed then he would be almost indominable. Also, kisame only combined with samehada when he had a good portion of the eight tails chakra.

Everyone underrates gai because of his lack of brains. Like the raikage what he lacks in brains, he makes up for in pure, raw power.

dude guy would win yes he has good water jutsus but if he is in water dome guy can get out of it instantly with his aura whiich repels water and then he can launch afternoon tiger which is just a extremely fast punch and the pressure can explode instantly even if kisame uses other attacks and create a huge shockwave(which cam also easily blow up the water dome and heavily injure kisame making him unable to move nearly as fast and guy in land would just beat him with either morning peacock or taijutsu to finish kisame off. guy in land is too fast for kisame and even in waterdome conditions he has the advantage as long as guy has info on samehada he can win this.

here is proof for you
this is the shockwave which can easily injure kisame heavily

And here is guy explaining how in an instant all the pressure from the punch explodes.

ps sorry if i seem rushed in my explanation i am just tired of saying it for the 3rd time. if u have questions about anything i will clarify.
