The neclace is not the same as the Deva Path...It's the same that naruto has after acessing the fox power... the Paths mean more than the elements. They are steps that one must accomplish to fully become one with god. Or, in a more pratical sense, the steps/things that one must posess to become god himself.
Didn't word it right. Meant to say it's similar to the one that God Realm wore although you're right, Naruto's version is almost identical but what I was really trying to share is that it is connected to Itachi and Orochimaru's legendary items. If ever introduced in the manga, it would have something to do with Yata's Mirror and Kusanagi Sword as it does in Japanese lore.
As for the Paths, I was stating the same thing as you. People are referring to SO6P as the 1st SO6P and Madara being 2nd and Nagato 3rd; which I think is wrong. Example;
I think when madara says that nagato is the third something , he means he was the 3rd ninja with the rinnengan
There is only one Sage and both Madara and Nagato are "paths" along with Hashirama. Madara is gathering all the paths in order to become the Sage himself and now he has gathered the 3 pieces which could mean that there are 3 paths remaining. I just used the nature types as an example of what the paths could mean, there is obviously more to the paths than just that. As I wrote in my last post;

It is certain he is not in the 1st's body. We know he was defeated that day (or let himself seem like he got defeated), and the first survived. We also know the first has been brought back by the resurrection technique before, which may mean the real body cannot be in use.
I always thought the images of Madara when he was young provide strong proof that Tobi is not only madara in mind, but also in body, since he always had one distinct line under each of his eyes. Now he just has more lines, signifying age. I am still debating myself whether his current body is his original or someone else's.
It's true that the first has been brought back by Orochimaru but that technique only brings back the soul and not the body. He uses sacrifices along with clay to form the appearance of the people he brings back hence the real body can still be used by someone else. I doubt he's using the first hokage's body and I'm with you on being unable to tell right now of whether not Madara is using his own body.

OK is Madara gathering 6 different bloodlines or 6 individuals powers that have the potential of becoming the next SO6P including himself?
He's apparently gathering the 6 paths. So far the 3 are Uchiha's powers (Sharingan?), Senju (1st Hokage's powers; Wood element?) and the Rinnegan. Nagato being an Uzumaki makes me think if Rinnegan is only compatible to the Uzumaki bloodline. It wouldn't surprise me if it was true as he apparently "gave" the rinnegan to Nagato. Maybe Madara was unable to use it but that only brings up more questions as to why he would want it now. He could've taken the Rinnegan whenever he wanted so why didn't he?
I really have no idea if he's gathering bloodlines or powers. If I were to guess, I'd guess powers of the SO6P himself. SO6P had Uchiha blood (1), Senju blood (2), he had the Rinnegan as his Kekkei Genkai. I believe those 3 powers are the 3 out of 6 paths that the Sage himself had control over.
