Skyla arrives finally, as she would begin to wonder around looking for her target.
Skyla was in the middle of searching for someone whom she was given the task of finding but it was at that moment she heard a somewhat familiar voice approaching behind her. “Oh, Vincent” she said, turning to meet the gaze of the man directly. “Mirabelle sent me to find someone…but to think she’d just abandon that notion…that’s a bit…unheard of…” she was immediately suspicious of the claims of Vincent but before she can speak anymore into this, a voice called out from them. “He’s not lying, at least I hope not” a very youthful tone can be heard. Skyla would turn, looming over to see the source of the tone. “You…” she pointed at Skyla, dragging her closer to her face. Skyla was immediately about to take some action but that’s when the red haired woman allowed a scuff to be released from her breath. “Tch, damned clone…” she released her. “So you’re Mirabelle’s familiar or something? If you came looking for me, I’m the person of interest. Kiyomi Uzumaki” she said properly introducing herself. “Ah right, Ms. Uzumaki…it’s a pleasure meeting you. Mirabelle insisted that you returned to Tsumigakure…” she tried to finish only for Kiyomi to turn on heel. “No thank you…that woman’s caused me enough trouble for a life time…she can piss off for all I care…” she said folding her arms and walking away. “Please, wait!” Skyla rushed off to get her, leaving Vincent behind. It was his choice and what should be done.Coming from here X
Vincent would still be looking nothing more then the common rabble still looking like the male farmer, he was in the landmark he was told by Miri that Skylar would be around here looking for what she issued her to do. Vincent was thinking of activating his visual prowess though this would give away he wasnt a normal person so he decided against it. Vincent would begin to quickly advance looking for Skylar after a few hours he would notice a woman that fitted her description "Sky.." Vincent would bellow in his usual voice hoping that Skylar would pick up on who it was as he looked like a ragged old man. Vincent approaching Skylar would stop a short distance away from her "i recently acquired some property of you and M and speaking of M she has sent me to recall you back to the village im going to take over the assignment from here" Vincent would await her response.
“Urgent?” Kiyomi stopped, as she turned on her heel to make direct eye contact with Vincent. “Don’t waste my time. I can tell that you’re lying…” she immediately sensed with her sensory. “People like you make me sick, just full of lies and bullshit…” she said, immediately turning to storm off again but Skyla would have grabbed her by her arm. “Kiyomi-san…Mirabelle does in fact want to see you…do you think I’m lying?” she said, titling her head to the side. Kiyomi was trying to free herself but her chakra sensory told her everything she needed to know. “Ugh…you cant you just…” she sighed, as she turned once more and looked at the duo. “Fine. Whatever…let me just get some stuff..” she said, as Skyla finally allowed her to move freely. “Just wait here…” she said, quickly disappearing a flash. “Sorry you had to see that…she’s still heartbroken it seems…” she shrugged at the thought.Vincent was relieved that Skylar understood it was him but something in her voice sounded unsure almost like she was playing along with him and intended to strike, Vincent was about to utter his next sentence when the target he was sent to retrieved appeared she had red hair that of the uzumaki though he would wait for Kiyomi to converse with Skylar to confirm it was her after all he didnt know this woman. After a while of conversing with Kiyomi would turn head and Skylar would give chase "ugh how troublesome guess i might have some work cut out for me..." Vincent face would sigh as he began to follow the pair still looking like a ragged farmer. Catching up to the pair by sprinting Vincent would dash and jump to land at the side of the both of them just having Kiyomi slightly in front of him and Skylar just being a foot behind him. "Please Kiyomi it is urgent that you return to the village there is a matter that requires your concern but that is between you and Mirabelle.... but i ask you to return with Skylar without any commotion" Vincent didn't know how to approach Kiyomi as he hasnt interacted with her before. He would turn to see what Skylar may add in with her input but kept a gaze on Kiyomi incase she decided to bolt again.
Vincent would hear both ladies talk and feel slightly like a third wheel to the both of them though this was his mission he was given though he would let the awkwardness show through in his body posture. Though Kiyomi could see through his deception he didnt care about her in particular just that she got her ass back to the village like Mirabelle instructed her temper with Vincent was great at the best of times so adding to this would be a large pain in his neck for him aswell as sullying his mission count he has accrued thus far in the village. Not failing on so far he intended on keeping this polish on his record as he wanted it to be something proud of when he retired, Vincent would listen to Skylar as she managed to convince Kiyomi to return though this woman seemed eccentric not a bad thing infact Vincent preferred wild and unusual people to study and have the company of most nin or people are boring.“Urgent?” Kiyomi stopped, as she turned on her heel to make direct eye contact with Vincent. “Don’t waste my time. “Regardless if Mira-sama summoned me back or not, I will see through to my original mission” she answered, now looming into the direction Kiyomi headed into. “Kiyomi is…wounded…” she said in a very mellow and withdrawn tone, her eyes drifting to the skies. Her own memories are copies of Mirabelle’s yet with her own unique experiences. She knows of the history between the two and for Kiyomi who ran away from it to be called back into it…it’s just suffering on her end. Perhaps Mirabelle didn’t see or understand this, perhaps if she’d stop just for five minutes…but what does Skyla know, Mirabelle will done day hear and experience these emotions and thoughts of her and well, hopefully she’s learned by now the truth. Kiyomi would have returned after a while, with bag and among other things. “We going or what?” she said, starting to leave as Skyla nodded and started to escort her. “Vincent, is there anything else Mirabelle asked for you to do? I’m sure I can handle transporting Ms. Uzumaki…” though Kiyomi rolled her eyes continued walking.Vincent would hear both ladies talk and feel slightly like a third wheel to the both of them though this was his mission he was given though he would let the awkwardness show through in his body posture. "glad she came to her senses" Vincent would utter to Skylar as she said her last sentence "But you have nothing to apologise for Skylar thank you for your intervention seemed like she was going to bolt again and save me the bothersome trouble of retrieving her, i bid you farewell Skylar ill see you back at the village" Vincent let a smile out in his old man farmer disguise and tip his farmer hat to Skylar bidding her farewell and moving onto the next part of his mission.
Vincent would hear Skyla words and he wasnt as bothered as what happened between the two former lovers, though it was the first part of his mission he now was going to execute the second phase of this assignment. After Kiyomi returned and asked if her and Skyla was leaving Skyla would face Vincent and ask if anything else was asked of him "yes there is another matter but this was more a personal request that i asked of Mirabelle but i can finish the rest of the request here. good seeing you again until our path cross again" Vincent would turn and begin to walk to another empty landmark“Regardless if Mira-sama summoned me back or not, I will see through to my original mission” she answered, now looming into the direction Kiyomi headed into. “Kiyomi is…wounded…” she said in a very mellow and withdrawn tone, her eyes drifting to the skies. A short walk later on and Strix was on the cities edge with walls stretching on to protect from invasion, with a gate and guardhouse built in as the only means of getting in and out bar scaling the walls. Hood pulled up, Strix wandered through the crowds of people, merchants mixed with farmers, guards and traders looking to find some relief in the city. The guards were on alert, vigilant to the slightest disturbance as a pickpocket tried to run off with a sack of money, a merchant crying out for help. The guards immediately swarmed and chased down the scrawny young man, tackling him to the ground. The thief the burst out crying yelling about starvation and food shortage and family. Strix rolled her eyes as she continued onwards passing through the gate and focusing back to finding a Gazlowe, who by description of the contract was a merchant of some kind. It was then she spotted a large carriage being pulled by two large horses with a man in a dark green coat sitting before a fire. On the door of the coach were the initials "M.G" and on top was a few luggage one of which had Gazlowe written in gold on it. Well this must have been the man for the contract. This post marks the start of a mission:
-Investigate the Crisis in Keishi
There was a foul stench in the air the further Strix walked through the city, bodies lying around barely more than skin and bone as muscle wasted away though no death was on the street. The marketplace was a roar of people clambering begging for food as there were extra guards at every stall and weapons drawn in case of any trouble. Though no good it would do them, with no death as a threat, nothing more than restraints could be done for the people of the world now more than likely the jails full of those broken the law but cannot be put to death. Supposedly this was one of the biggest markets and biggest cities in the western continent, additionally the Land of Fire being known for having lush bounties and never running out of food. However things were going wrong and the world had begun to unravel since Tiamat and the Voidlord's started their plans.
Cautiously walking through the city, Strix was careful to avoid any contact with the locals, hood pulled up as her black cloak hid her features not wanting to be identified nor remembered by anyone here. Moving over towards a local guild hall, there was numerous bounties for collection, mainly for securing trade routes and protecting caravans. Normally from Strix' experience there would only be 3 or 4 at most but currently with 12 jobs roughly the same on offer, there had to be correlation with the famine. The first guess was that bandits were stealing caravans, attacking traders and farmers desperate as any citizen to get their hands on food, but they normally would only stick to one province close to their home turf. These requests looked like they were coming in from all over the Land of Fire. Ripping down one of the posters, Strix inspected it as she read through its request.
It was a simple caravan protection, but the reward money was triple what the normal going rate was, more than likely because of the desperate need for food for the region and markets plus the massive inflation and as they say Supply and Demand. Strix wouldn't normally take such a petty job but these were extraneous circumstances and warranted looking into. So far it looked like there was Famine going on, and caravans, farmers and merchants were struggling to actually get their food delivered. There was something in the supply chain that was disrupting all this. Entering the guildhall there was a rabble of people in mixed between locals begging to put jobs up to protect their farms or transport their food, to mercenaries and local militia preparing to either go out or take jobs. Clicking her tongue, Strix wandered over to the front desk waiting till she could be spoken to one of the receptionists.
Hello and welcome to the Keishi Mercenaries Guild, thank you for coming today. Taking a job or putting in a request?
Placing down the job on the table, Strix looked up to see a dark brown haired woman, thin, with what looked to be hands wrapped in bandages covering tanned skin.
Oh, ok let me just make the arrangements. Can I say who is taking the job?
Strix paused, unsure of whether to give her proper name or not before an idea came to her head.
Frost.
The woman briefly had her eyebrow raised in curiosity before regaining composure, and stamping the request.
Ok thank you for taking on the job. Your contact will be to the north of town near the gate. Ask for Mr Gazlowe and he will give you further details.
Turning and exiting the building, Strix wondered if this was the Voidlord's plans, to cause Chaos within humanity by giving them Immortality. Strix couldn't help but chuckle at the idea, sure everyone wish to never die or be immortal but when that affects everyone then that's true Chaos. Trekking to the North of town, Strix would see as she rounded the corner the Walled gates as people still lined the streets here moaning and barely being able to move. Heading on, she would reach the gatehouse and look for a guard.
Coming from [x]
Panthalassa walked through the busy street of Keishi, wondering what to do. The marketplace was bursting with activity, as the new fares had arrived. He decided to take a look, see if he'd like to buy a couple.
Mission StartComing from Zhouhua (041)
As Barney landed on the outskirts of the city, he immediately saw the swarm of people as they moved around the massive and chaotic city. He dispersed Grus back to her homeland and made his way through the masses on foot. Rule of thumb was to follow the biggest mass to get to the main square and from there decide where to go next. Looking at the streets as he wandered he could really tell that it was a massive city built across centuries and in different time periods, following the rise and decline of different civilizations that ruled this ancient city. Nowadays, the people were too busy to bother with rulers and conquerors and were only thinking about themselves and how to survive from day to day. Thievery and brawls were plaguing the city on every corner and Barney tried to stay clear, at least for the time being.
As he got close to the main square, just before the last street took a corner, he saw a familiar figure from the back. He could recognize him even from a few feet away. There was no doubt, it was his dear friend...
"Captain!" said Barney out loud as he approached the man and tapped him on the shoulder a few times quite manly, before he gave him a firm friendly squeeze.

Panthalassa was skimming through the marketplace and the noticeboard. Life has been pretty laid back recently, even boring at times. He felt his previous defeat at the Dark Tower to be quite harming to his ego and general mood. He read through the multiple notices and wanted posters, before lingering on the several bulletin news on the raids of the southwest corner of the Land of Fire.
Panthalassa was not affiliated with any village, but he had found harbour and comrades up north with the Hellsing clan. While it was extremely cold, much more than Panthalassa was ready to accept, a few of the people there were actually not half bad. He paused his reading for a bit, as his mind drifted off to his memories.
Barney, the insane doctor. That man was wild and awesome. A smile crept in on Panthalassa's lips as he reminisced about the Yuki shinobi. Yuki were born in the Water Archipelago, which is where he was raised. Destiny had it that both shinobi would meet the furthest from their homeland as there could ever be, but they clicked right away.
It was like Panthalassa could hear him now, in Keishi. " Captain, Captain". Panthalassa let out a chuckle. It's Admiral, not Captain, he laughed. But it was such a life-like image that Panthalassa had to do a double check down the street of the market. Oh would you look at that, it was Barney!
OH! My friend!
Panthalassa gripped the man's hand and then pulled him closer to a manly hug. The Yuki was a bright light that cut through the Admiral's blue mood. He pushed the man a way to take a closer look at the crazy doctor, making sure it was real and not just his mind playing tricks on him.
Now you're a bright sight for sore eyes! How have you been, what brings you here?
Maybe it was coincidence ( OOC: It was not ) but Barney had arrived right when Panthalassa was reading about the raids. What previously had no much weight, now seemed like something worth exploring. After the general friendly talk was done with, Panthalassa organized the news in his head and grabbed a few select pieces of journal. They moved their rendezvous to a nearby pub where Panthalassa was staying and Panthalassa would propose the journey.
I have been really homesick for quite a while. After our dinner party, I have travelled to the Darktower, west of here, and challenged the champion. But it didn't go as planned. After the events of the Raid, I have been down in spirits and without much motivation to do anything. I was actually thinking about you when I saw you! Imagine my surprise to see you here, so far away from our clan's homebase!
To be honest, you came when I was reading about these events.
Panthalassa showed the Yuki the documents detailing the pillaging of the southwest villages. It appeared that the general displeasure about Madara's ruling in the Fire Land, and his negligence towards the weaker and smaller villages gave rise to a lot of rebel activity.
It doesn't have that much to do with us, but it has to be a sign that I was reading this as soon as you arrived. I was thinking, maybe journeying with you would give me some sense of purpose and kinship. I don't have that much to return to in the Water Archipelago, because I feel like I outgrew them for now. But maybe I can find myself in these villages, with you. I think our clan could benefit from weakening our neighbouring village, even if slightly. Then again, it just sounds like an exciting opportunity to try out some new techniques of mine. What do you think?
As always, the doctor was easily exciteable and eager to talk. Panthalassa downed a few orange sodas before turning on towards the door. This post contains a B rank storyboard mission called:
Reflect on your own accomplishments
Rendez-vouz and learn about a friends journeys
"I knew it wasn't Captain!" Barney burst in laughter as he embraced his good friend and thought to himself how he wasn't sure what it was. He laughed wholeheartedly as the Admiral spoke and then replied to his questions.
"Ah, after you left, I gotta admit, I felt a bit lonely. It struck me when you said that you wanted to go and explore the world but it just wasn't my thing at the time being. Instead, I did what I usually do best. I gathered some supplies for my laboratory and started some work to keep my mind occupied. It was very fruitful." Barney said as he grabbed the edge of his coat and proudly showed it to the Admiral. He probably wouldn't see any differences as it was the same coat that he used to wear even back when they first met, but deep within, it was nothing alike. A child of his own imagination. A fruit of his skills. A testament to his ability. A unique coat with unparalleled abilities that laid within. As he spun around, he could see the slightly joyful but uncertain look on the Admirals face because he wasn't sure what exactly he was looking at.
"Looks great, right?", said Barney but didn't give the Admiral enough time to respond.
"Right, I'll just let you in on a little secret and hopefully we'll be able to see the coat in action. It's almost got a brain of its own." He put emphasis on the almost because the coat didn't really have a brain but rather a chakra circulatory network which was mostly a ninja's brain anyway.
"But sorry, don't let me interrupt you. Please tell me what have you been up to!" apologized Barney quickly and let the Admiral speak as he followed him into the nearby pub, listening to his journey, how he was homesick for a while and how after their dinner party, he travelled to the Darktower, west of here, and challenged the champion that resided there. Unfortunately, as the Admiral put it lightly, it didn't go as planned. Barney felt sorry for the Admiral as it seemed it was a tough battle to lose, but he gave him a quick glance over and saw that he was alright and nothing was missing.
"Don't worry my friend, I'm glad you're okay. Perhaps we can deal with that Dark Tower together at some point." said Barney with a smirk, as if he held an ace in his sleeve, which was an intended pun because of the abilities of his coat.
Furthermore, Barney listened to the Admiral talk about the events after the Raid, and how he has been down in spirits and without much motivation to do anything. He told Barney that he was actually thinking about him when they bumped into each other. Would you imagine the surprise of them two meeting all the way here, so far away from their clan's homebase!
"Ah, Hellsing, yeah." Barney gave a sour smirk at the mention of Hellsing and quickly shrugged his shoulders.
"I have actually bumped into Alucard and Hei when I was fetching my supplies but they both, more or less, ignored me. Alucard was too busy to chat and Hei seemed zapped out of his mind quite literally ignoring me." said Barney with some visible angst towards those two. They weren't bad fellas and Barney didn't want them as enemies, that was for certain. But he wasn't sure if being part of the clan was beneficial to Barney anymore. He felt as if he outgrew the clan and was setting up for bigger things.
"Which brings me here actually. After my experiment I ran out of supplies and I raided the Khulna market quite a few times so they ran out of supplies which forced me to expand my search to the other nearest town with a marketplace. On my way here, I have also learned how to summon Cranes, would you believe that. Brother, you've gotta see this beautiful crane. It's nothing like you've ever seen before. If the winds will be generous, maybe we can utilize it on our journey for a flight through the countryside." said Barney with a mellow and calm, almost angelic tone.
It seemed as if Panthalassa took Barneys words with acceptance because his next few words focused on the noticeboard and the events that were posted there. Barney listened as Panthalassa showed him the papers and explained what was happening and how there were rebellions starting in the land of Fire. Rebellions against the ruling of some Madara, whoever he may be. Barney nodded as he listened, signaling to the Admiral that he was indeed interested. Sure, it would seem like a good idea for his last few acts as a Hellsing member to do some good for the clan, in case that the worst happens, to at least split in good spirits.
"I agree with you. I'd love to see what you've got and to show you what I've got as well." said Barney, thinking of his coat.
"Let's finish this drink then, I'm paying, and then lead the way my friend. I'm looking forward to this journey together with you." said Barney and stretched his hand forward to give the Admiral a handshake as a done deal.
"Whoa, those are really pretty." he said as he saw the shiny scarabs. He accepted the gesture and left the bar, followed by the Admiral. Is words were true and quite powerful. No matter our social alignment, we humans are not lone creatures and in the end, each and every one of us need that human connection. The Admiral spoke right when he said that he was hoping their bond would become unbreakable. As always, the doctor was easily exciteable and eager to talk. Panthalassa downed a few orange sodas before turning on towards the door.
Cranes! That is amazing, I also have a new summon
He said, winking, and then pulled out his sleeve, allowing a big scarab to pop out, joined by a second and a third one. They looked like cerulean jewels, the metallic sheen on their exosqueleton shining within blue and green iridescent tones. Seeing as his friend was excited about the events that the Aburame had told him, Panthalassa propped open the door and gestured for Barney to go first.
Regardless of whether Alucard and Hei become your enemies or not, I think after this journey our bond will be unbreakable. So, for now, let's see if we can make ourselves useful.
