Just my opinion

1. In order to get more readers, we first need to have good works to attract them, thus we need to encourage writers to post their work, which I think the rules are a bit strict and put a lot of limits on any potential writers who want to start writing especially those new writers. So if possible, the rules can be a bit more writers friendly.

2. I personally don't like the idea of categories fanfic with original work, some writers like me have pride on our own works.

3. As for readers, most of the active user are youngster who have no patient to read all the heavy and long works, so we can try some light and short stuff in here but of course not poem, I highly believe that they are not interested at that which in my opinion fanfic is a good idea.

4. Yes, fanfic, when I first saw the fanfic list, I have no idea what is happening in there... I suggest that we can rearrange it based on which anime/manga fanfic it is from and alphabet, easier for the reader to search.

5. For those with long chapters, we might want to consider putting links for each chapter so the reader wouldn't need to scroll up and to go the desired chapters.

6. I think it's okay to allow links to other webpage especially for those writers who have 36 chapters for their work, with a condition that they need to get permission from founder or admin

Although I have more to say but that's all for now, if anyone find it's a bit offensive I shall delete it.

1: I read up on the new Global Rules of Animebase since my last reply to you and it's practically a copy-paste from Narutobase. The advertising bit is still in play, but yeah... It was always encouraged to post your writing on here though to A: Bring more views and attention to this forum in overall, allowing you to join the Writing contests and B: To actually keep the section alive, lol.

2: We've renamed and revamped the section already. Before it was just Fanfiction but now it's Writer's Club (other name before) with the Subsections Fanfiction and Poems. We did try to have Fanfiction changed to several other varriations but in the end it was dismissed. A totally new revamp might be in order though so who knows

3: True, but there's always a first for everything. I found Fanfiction dull in my earlier days, same with RP. Then again I ended up as the one person with the biggest written story on here and I still despise reading, lmao. But believe me when I say this section was damn popular in the earlier days. Why? Plenty more active members, so I think that is the key no matter the length or the type of story.

4: A lot could be done indeed. There's already a Fanfiction/Original Fiction Guide but it has stopped being updated ages ago. In it stories are categorized by genre and in order I think;

5: That can easily be done on your own though, I got links to all my stories in my signature, and for each release, I have links to the past chapters at the beginning of the thread. Even had a Social Group with all my stories linked as well but don't think that feature will be coming back xP

6: That, or it's pretty easy to just copy and paste and reupload here, don't you think? If people go elsewhere to read, the point of revival here is mute before it begins, lmao.

6. that's true, but for those who want to put links, I do feel that it is important to get people to pay attention on the forum, what I did in WLA is that I sometimes will do 2 different versions in both sides thus bringing my original reader to the forum,and I let them do comments in that thread since I didn't provide any comment section in my webpage.

Another thing is that, now the new era starts, might consider changing the old banners... although that wasn't the issue here...

And we should encourage interaction between writers and readers, is this thread serve that purpose too?

Animebase has a huge discord server here . I am pretty someone loves writing in one off those 20,000 members. XD

We'll ask them to add a fanfiction channel on discord as well. Ya itll be challenge but members will sure come to you it needs time and effort for that.
