so frickin cool... I feel so nostalgic reading naruto again after such a long time, but i wonder why they are still stick to all those ninja weapons when they have modernized everything. They can use guns and all now why that village still exist when they have a huge city just beside them.......
I give it a 3/5
I can already tell I am not going to like this manga very much. I loathe the ninja tool jutsu bs.
I will still read it though, but only because Naruto is over. Don't mean to be such a drag, was just really hoping for something better

I like how they incorporated Boruto knew three changes in nature, like it was in the novel. If I remember correctly, they left that out the movie. Haven't seen it since I saw it in theaters last year.

But for real the art isn't as bad as I expected but I still dislike how he draws sarada sasuke hinata and sakura. He's OK with drawing naruto and at times boruto.
I don't mind the recap but please be quick about it.

Its nice to see naruto back once again but in manga style witch seems like naruto gt but this is called boruto and for first time seeing new generation it was allright but with this new style drawing it does look a bit awkard trough dont like it much but i can say it was ok i guess nothing great trough

That was a fun start to the series!
The artwork was a bit sloppy in a few panels, but as we saw with Kishimoto the artist will probably develop over time.
I mean Kishimoto year one v. Kishimoto year 10 are light years apart.
At first I was bummed with the monthly release, but having sixty pages equals out to the standard 15 per week so that's fine.
This artist is focused quite a bit on texture instead of form and broad planes which provides different qualities of tension, like how hair lies or how teeth and lips come together to express more complex emotion.
The background drawing is nearly identical to the original series, and frankly his drawings of the kage monument are clearer and look more like stone.
A couple of those panels were pretty bad though..but I'd say 90 percent of the panels were well drawn, just comes down to style preference for the reader I suppose.
I wonder how much of the art team from the end of Naruto are supporting the new mangaka?
I'm not prepared to call Naruto a failure. The era of ninja might be ending, and that might be the end result of Naruto's revolution.
Buddhist cycles of time are massive and usually contain both peaceful and warring periods within a given cycle.
Perhaps the era of ninjutsu ends in fire, clearing the way for whatever may follow?
I'm guessing that Boruto's headband was Sasuke's which is indicative to his overall philosophy.
I'm also guessing that Boruto has taken on his sensei's role as well, he is certainly not the hokage and there is no face monument after Naruto.
Will Sarada's quest for hokage end in tragedy?
Whose eye does he now carry that gives him purpose to fight for a world he didn't care about?
Are those tattoos curse marks from Oorochimaru or Mitsuki?
What leads to this catastrophe?
How in such a short time has world peace devolved into chaos?
What ever happened in Amakagure?!?!
Did Lee use the eighth gate against Kawaka and that is why the monument is wrecked?
Is everyone else dead? I mean where are they???
