Biggest Plot hole: Itachi defeating Orochimau.

Everyone fights differently and has different weaknesses. Just cuz someone is ranked weaker than someone else doesnt mean its impossible for that person to win. Have to take into account Chakra nature weaknesses/strengths also

Other members already soloed this thread. Orochimaru unfortunately has no counter to genjutsu it is his weakness. I wish we could see a true fight between these two characters. This is why I don't like genjutsu it makes fights boring and dumb. What is enjoyable in seeing one character just stomp another, without even moving a finger. Fights were characters are more evenly matched are glorious for example Naruto vs Sasuke at the Valley(best fight), Sasuke vs Deidara, Naruto vs Pain

What you don't understand is that there is.

Orochimaru tried to use soul transfer, which requires eye contact, and got shut down.

Orochimaru has no reason to soul transfer if he's going for the kill.

Also, it's hilarious how you think Itachi "beat" Orochimaru by cutting off the hand of an immortal regenerating freak that giggles at getting chopped to pieces, and forgetting too that it was a weak and dying Orochimaru without killing intent.

He lost his arms fighting Hiruzen. One would assume he went all out in that fight since he was close to being defeated.

I don't doubt he has more jutsu, but I don't think he's as powerful as people make him out to be. Aside for his menacing persona and perfection of Edo Tensei, he hasn't done anything that really wowed me in terms of jutsu.

What we do know is that Itachi > "unhealthy" Orochimaru. And unhealthy Orochimaru is the only Orochimaru that really exists since we haven't seen him healthy, so in the end Itachi > Orochimaru unless you have some unreleased panels of healthy Orochimaru

Also I believe Itachi was unhealthy too unless I'm mistaken

We don't know what the implication for the senju were or that every Uchiha used genjutsu.

Itachi doesn't need eye contact to put you under either.

Also Kabuto has more than Orochimaru's abilities. Orochimaru doesn't have SM, which is what gives Kabuto his sensing abilities.

First let's see the fight:

here are the contradictions:

1/ It's said that Itachi can't defeat Jiraiya even with Kisame's help, and we all know that Jiraiya failed to force Oro to return to village, let's just say Jiraiya = Orochimaru (it's not what the thread is about)

2/ Orochimaru got trapped into a usual Sharingan Genjutsu (not a MS one), In the fight between Itachi, Kisame vs Kakashi, Asuma and Kurenai, the latter one was able easily to dispell It by simply biting her mouth.

2/ The databook says that Orochimaru has 5 in Genjutsu, Jiraiya for exemple has 3 and he is able to dispell Genjutsus while Orochimaru couldn't.

3/ Itachi cut Orochimaru's arm when he wanted to dispell it, He actually helped him getting out of it !

4/ By cutting his arm Orochimaru can regenerate his body so he was able te make it grow again and use handseals and Ninjutsu to fight.

Conclusion: The fight is a plot hole and Kishi is an Itachi fanboy.
