dont you guys remember that jiraiya got his ass kicked by orochimaru? he didnt even master sage mode. i read something here that says jman shits on itachi. that thing is mad ridiculous. there's a whole lot of things that i can mention but choose not to. itachi is the best ninja there is since sarutobi and minato (from konoha at least). and no, i'm not a fanboy. if you guys think otherwise, give me your reasons.

1) Well first Jman was drugged by tsunade and couldn't controll his chakra at all when we saw jiraiya and tsunade fight Oro

2) He may not have "mastered" sage mode but its just as good as naruto's sage mode also can combine jutsu's summons, naruto has shown it when Jman trained him to do so but has never used it in an actual battle, and Jman is alot more versatile than naruto

3) Didn't Nagato/pain admit that he would of lost if jiraiya knew his secret from the start?

Most people dont give him enough credit just because he lost to pain

1)Dont you remember clearly that when jaraiya fought orochimaru he was given like a poison that reduced his power to 30% so he couldnt fight that well yet he put up a good fight and tsunade didnt help much because she was a weakling and scared of blood HELL naruto helped more than her kabuto was actually kicking her ass that was back the when Kabuto used to be my favorite charachter now hes a snake thingy and he looks ugly.

2)If you think about it about it j-man had more of a chance if he knew about all the pains because pain even said he MIGHT have beaten him but If you recall Pain had no fear of facing Naruto and went valiantly into battle to whoop his ass even though he knew he was a jinchuriki

3)Jaraiya was the first choice pick to be hokage but refused meaning he would have to be kage level to even be considered

4)If you read on Naruto wiki Jaraiya had amassed a huge arsenal of jutsu( I think it was about a thousand) about as much as kakashi AND Kakashi had sharingan he didnt which means he was better than orochimaru in his life long dream because Oro was always bitching about how he was going to master all the jutsu in the world but Jaraiya came closer to it than he did meaning j-man>orochimaru

Why are people even mentioning kisame in this thread. J-man is the worst match up for kisame. All kisame does is absorb his opponents chakra with samehada basically using it against them. Don't forget if kisame tries to absorb j-man nature chakra in sage mode him and samehada would be turned into stone. As for itachi. The man admitted that if they fight all out they both will die. Stop jumping on itachi's side just because he's cool and intelligent.

Jiraiya most certainly is not weak or underrated. He still remains one of the strongest ninja in the shinobi world & also you're saying "he didn't even master Sage mode" like thats an easy thing to do.

On the other hand, I do think that the only reason Itachi & Kisame high-tailed it out of there part in part 1 by coming face to face with him was completely the fact that his purpose there was NOT to run into Konoha and start trashing the village in an enormous battle, he simply went in, messed up Kakashi and sent them a warning message that he was still alive and to be feared. Also remember, Jiraiya's legend was most likely exaggerated (not that the toad sage didn't deserve his title) but Itachi knew little of him other than the grand amazing title of his.

Don't mess with Jiraiya. I'm no fanboy, but he definitely earned respect, just like Itachi.
