Actually, that's the Superman that completely destroys the value and power of the concept of a 'super hero.'

In one instance, Superman is toting over a dozen planets through the universe, with all of them chained together.

- What material is strong enough to CHAIN multiple planets together?

- HOW do you chain one planet to another?

- HOW does the population of those planets survive being moved from one spot in the universe to another?

- HOW does Superman out power the gravity of those planets to be able to move them?

- HOW do you establish that what he's doing is within the realm of reality, yet fits within the realm of fiction, and doesn't betray the integrity of the character?

- If Superman can move so many planets by whatever fictional means, how does his character retain any worth within the realm of the superhero?


These are all questions that really give fans a reason to scrutinize the hell out of the fiction behind the character, asking WHY he's even worth talking about when the writers clearly modified him to fix whatever problem they could come up with, which tends to completely ruin the fiction.

Powers I would credibly give Superman (while completely ignoring 'ages'):

- Heat/laser/x-ray vision.
- Hearing
- Flight
- Speed
- Strength
- Intelligence.

However, I would only give him a moderate amount of each of those things, because they give him credibility as a super hero while still making him identifiable as a semi human.

Read every single one of my post those all describe a post crisis superman who still kicks Goku's minkey a$$. Also don't say he's not worth talking about because he could meet any problem head on with his powers, because then that means you hate every anime's main character as they all recieve power ups when they arent strong enough want some examples?

Goku- Every form of SSJ, he was able to beat frieza so he got SSJ, he couldn't beat cell so he got SSJ2, he wan't strong enough for Majin Buu so he got SSJ3, he wasn't strong enough to beat baby Vegeta, so he got SSJ4.

Naruto- He wasn't able to take on five tailed beasts alone so Kurama decide that he likes Naruto all of the sudden.

Yu Yu Hakusho- The spirit orb he gets from Genkai a massive power that Originally wasn't his own.

Goku can teleport himself through worlds,so what is space,Not to mention Sayins can breath in space

Sayins can't breathe in space or they wouldn't have invented spaceships fail. Goku couldn't do anything if Superman flew him into space.

first it say's superman that means any veriation because he didn't specify, or if you are saying he was already specific about the fight then he's talking about a goku who isn't in and SSJ form.

Strength wise superman is stronger, this is my reasoning.

1.When super man goes all out all he did was flex his leg muscles and it cause the tectonic plates to shift , Goku however when he transforms to ssj4 only cause craters to form under him..

2.superman cant die while under the yellow sun

3.gokus strength has limits while supermans does not..

Superman > Goku Strength wise

Gokus main Objective was to save the earth from antagonists and if the Universe or Solar System got Obliterated there would be no earth. we just have to use logic and power scaling. Lord Frieza in his weakest form Destroyed a planet with just a finger showing no sign of fatigue afterwards, now imagine what a Goku Super Saiyan 4 could do if you are using logic and power scaling, he would be able to destroy a Universe instantly. Cell would of Destroyed the Solar System with his Solar Kamehameha but that wouldn't happen because it would be the end of DBZ. Have you ever thought that what if Gogeta or Vegito showed their true power? I bet Gogeta was using 1% of his power when he fought a Titan like Omega Shenron. If your using power scaling and logic Gogeta SSJ4 would destroy a Universe with a flick of his wrist.

Post crisis superman would get his tail handed to him by Goku, that's it. If you don't specify which iteration of characters are fighting you automaticaly assume it is the latest variations. Nobody here is talking about Dragonball kid Goku vs Sups. Pre- Crisis Sups can become injured if the sun is blocked out. I have seen many blasts from the BEGINNING of Dragonball Z capable of doing that. Lets say Goku uses instant transmission kamehameha and hits Sups. The energy would bend around him until he is completely covered by it, therfore blocking out the sun and reducing Sups to ash. Sups would probably regenerate after sometime however. And stop the bs about how Goku isn't intelligent. He is a Savant, a genius in one aspect and that is fighting. He is the epitome of Martial arts master in his universe. He could probably sense Sups getting stronger the closer he is to the sun and determine a way to block out this power source. Since Sups senses are so heightened I bet a solar flare would incapacitate him for a short while allowing the kamehameha.

This is the truth. and Sups probably is physically stronger than goku. but Z characters can increase their attack strength by focusing ki into it.
