No, it is not, unless you believe a hair clipper pierces your hair as opposed to cutting it. The example people use to "prove" lightning improves only "piercing", is taken cleanly out of the context of the situation.

If it doesn't vibrate/ rub against the hair it cannot cut. hair clippers are useless unless plugged in.

Indeed. Good thing you agree oscillations are not limited to piercing. An oscillation is simply a vibration, as you yourself admit. Piercing cannot be the only thing that benefits from vibrations.

Other elements don't actually increase their sharpness to cut things. Only wind.Water utilizes pressure, Lightening utilizes vibrations, etc

Nothing proves that though.... ur making assumptions now. Sasuke making the spear is shape manipulation. When killer be used his lightening chakra to vibrate the blade the blade was then able to cut(lack of a better word) zabuza's sword. Once sasuke ran his lightning chakra in zabuza's sword both cancelled out. the lightening chakra was still there but since both were vibrating neither made headway and it returned to the stalemate before chakra was even introduced.

U think vibrations increase the sharpness of object/blade when in fact its the same blade just repeated hits.
That's why when sasuke clashed with mifune neither sword cut through each other.
Wind chakra increases the sharpness so it cuts through in 1 hit.

If a vibrating baseball bat comes in contact with a samurai sword Is the samurai sword going to break? No the bat is going to get cut through.

Lightning is made into a shape. The lightning vibrates itself. The lightning becomes sharper. That's what you seem to have trouble understanding.
