Why should I listen to my parents?

Yo, so why should I listen to my parents? Usually when we're in an argument, and I tell them to F off, they tell me to listen to them and do as they say because they're my parents. They make obedience sound like a good thing. It makes no sense whatsoever. I'm from America, and America wouldn't even be what it is today if it wasn't for people rebelling aka disobeying King George aka Britain's rule. Disobedience is a very good thing, it shows you're independent and can fend for yourself. Did you know that the number 1 thing people regret when they die is letting people, including their parents, make their decisions?

If there's 1 thing I want to take from Naruto, it's obeying isn't a good thing. Anyways, who's with me? F parents! Unless they're cool and they let you chase your dreams and what not, then your parents are awesome, and I'd love to have them as my parents.

I see where you're coming from, but my parents are extremely gullible, they used to not care if I climbed trees, or if I skateboard, bike, get chicks, etc. They watch a lot more news and go on the internet more now, and they see all these accidents, and think they're going to happen to me. They think I'm going to get STD's, get head trauma from skating, get ran over when on my bike, it's crazy. I'm being babied now, and I'm not used to this from them. By the way, I don't really tell them to F off, I say that in my mind, but I just say leave me alone in real life because I don't really enjoy arguing. Anyways, thanks though

No worries. I tell them to F off in my head as well, but I always keep in mind that they are doing what they do for a reason. They do sound a little over-protective though, my parents (sort of) know I can fend for myself (I train in Parkour, so I just have to run like f*ck and thats it).

Calm down sometimes i thought that, too. But after some time, you will maybe realize, that they could have been right at that point. I dont really know your parents, but im really sure that they just want the best for you! They raised you and just want to ensure, that you will have a nice future. So you will be able to do the same one day

Think about it and sometimes just think about what you would do to your own children, which are nkre than everything to you!

I say it in my head, I don't think I'm capable of telling my parents to F off for real. I just want to live my life like the Tiger I feel like I'm inside my heart, I can't be tamed by anyone.
