1. Kushina never had control of the Nine-Tails.

2. Someone gotta inform Minato the village is in danger. Otherwise, he'll just be off doing his thing.

3. Ninjas die for their village, but a Ninja would never kill their partner. At least not Kakashi... willingly.

4. They had to push the Nine-Tails out of the village. As a result for handling the "Nine-Tails" they lost the 4th Hokage.
This, word for word. And to add to the Rin knowing about it, I think the mist ninja would have forced their way in the village if Kakashi wasn't there (not many ninja in the village) and then force the Sanbi to awaken. They might not have had a jinchuuriki before, it could have just been sealed and then they sealed it in Rin.

I don't know about you, but in my opinion Rin's death is one of the most illogical events in the entire manga. Normally I defend Kishi's actions, but this time it really seems, as if he made this up on a whim, and he didn't think it through..
Here is why:

1. Seriously, what kind of plan is it, to place a bijuu, which is the most valuable weapon in the village, in a young girl from another village, and even let her know it. Surely will she just run back in fear? Of course not! Shinobi will die for their village, that is why they become shinobi. Nobody is that stupid. Also if they had her captive, why not use her knowledge to infiltrate the village with an actual jinchuriki, that willingly would try to attack the village...

2. Would releasing the Isobu in the middle of Konoha even make a difference? We already saw, that 5 biju's incl. Isobu couldn't even match Kurama. Konoha could handle Kurama with no major damage. They have mighty sealers such as Minato and Hiruzen, and an even stronger jinchuriki. Surely Konoha was in war at the time, but yet, a jinchuriki always remains in the village, and Minato can instantly return to Konoha. Would the Mist not know all this?

I don't know, what you think about it, but it seems way off for Kishi's standard lower limit, IMO.
I dont find it that strong of a plot either.
They basically threw their bijou away with a bad plan.

1. A weapon isn't a weapon if it isn't being used. THIS is the ONLY way to use a tailed Beast back then if your Jinn did not know how to fully control the beast. Apparently the Hidden Mist Jinns could never be fully in control their beast until Yagura came along. Also, I'm fairly sure the Mist Anbu did not mean for Rin to find out about her new addition to her body, they most likely had her unconscious (or so they thought) during the entire procedure of putting in the 3 tails, but Rin being Rin, found out. *********** version makes it sound that way anway.

2. Yes. Yes it would. Because who says the Nine-Tails would fight the 3 tails? Maybe they would, and then maybe the 9 tails would destroy the rest of the town while he was at it. Kushina could not CONTROL the 9 tails. She could only RESTRAIN it.

I don't see much difference between that and the attack on Konoha during the Chuunin exam - that one also centered around a biju (Gaara's ichibi), and additional support troops. I suspect that using biju in this manner to attack other villages was common practice. If the strategy had succeeded, they would have won and recaptured Rin. It was not likely that Konoha could have extracted and sealed the Sanbi in the midst of an all out attack, and no chance that a new jinchuuriki like Rin could possibly control it.

I think we are yet to know more about it in the future chapters, I don't think Kishimoto would write such a lame story, wait for it, he always manages to surprise us.

With #1, I don't think they intended for her to know that Isobu was inside of her. She somehow found out. It doesn't make sense that they'd tell her, or she may have been controlled by some Genjutsu that was seen through by Kakashi with his Sharingan and he snapped her out of it.

Number two makes some sense though, but Kurama wasn't a "problem without casualties". Many unnamed Shinobi died during that attack. Then to top it off, Iruka's parents along with Minato and Kushina also died and they nearly lost the Kyuubi. However, Isobu isn't nearly as strong as Kurama is so I see your point. But this is also like the plan that Orochimaru had with the Sand. The intention was to release Shukaku in Konoha. There could be more to it than that but we just don't know.

Well, so couldn't Kumo, but they just kept trying new vessels hoping for the right one to come a long. A jinchuriki isn't a weapon, unless it can use control the beasts powers to some degree. Throwing it away stupidly like that would be pathetic.

2. Yes. Yes it would. Because who says the Nine-Tails would fight the 3 tails? Maybe they would, and then maybe the 9 tails would destroy the rest of the town while he was at it. Kushina could not CONTROL the 9 tails. She could only RESTRAIN it.
Minato alone, as I said, could place 3 toads on it, and he could take away any TBB. And surely Konoha would have a way to notify him, even if he wasn't in town.

There is a huge difference. During chunin exam 2 enemy villages already had several shinobi in the core of Konoha, not to mention the fact, that this was Oro's plan, and he had the 2 former kage's. Besides, Gaara is different in that manner, since he wanted to destroy anything around him.

It wasn't stated they let Rin know about it, it was just stated that Rin knew about it. She could have gained this knowledge without Mist knowing about it.

Konoha could handle Kurama with NO MAJOR damage? It was the most damaging incident that ever happened in Konoha apart from Pain's attack. However, since Pain revived absolutely everybody after his assault, I would even say that Kurama's rampage was worse.
Sanbi might not have dealt as much damage as Kurama, but it would still be a hit to Konoha - an opportunity Mist could use to attack the village themselves.

I don't know, what you think about it, but it seems way off for Kishi's standard lower limit, IMO.
No, I actually liked this explanation MUCH MUCH better than stupid theories about Rin being a spy or Kakashi killing her to protect intel.

All fun and games and all, but the kyuubi as never actually under konoha's control.
It was just being kept safe in a jinchuuriki who could keep it inside.

So no, if the kyuubi did break free he'd likely would've attacked konoha at that time s well.

Also, the sanbi still is a powerfull bijuu, capable of destroying most of konoha's ninja, especially if the strong ones are away.
Minato and Sarutobi would still be required to fight and keep casualties to a minimum.
And then they'd still happen.

Bigger Picture guys , Madara still had some hand in it
He swore obito would return to him

Obito probably knows half the story as does Kakashi

I still believe obito will turn on Madara at the end after discovering he was lied to.
This won't make him a 'good person' as I also believe he still will bear hatred against the village system.and.ninja world for the way it is.

However he will die in the process

1. Bad guys always gloat and reveal their plans, that's how the good guys are always able to stop it

2. A tailed beast with no host just runs wild so who cares the amount of damage it does as long as its doing damage and creating a distraction for the higher ranked ninjas in the village.

Actually, the 4th hokage chose his own death due to his wish that naruto could meet kushina and himself later. The 9 tails of itself would'nt have killed him had that condition not been there.
