Part 1 DB or Original DB series doesnt have Planet busting fights and there is where DB is the most enjoyable to read.

Scale has less to do with it but content. P1 and some of p2 had sone genius fights. Like neji vs kido. Sasuke vs diedara, the bell test,sakura vs sasori. But it fell off and became about whose more powerful like dbz. So no i cant excuse naruto because it changed to something lesss like the series i recognized. Nothing wrong with enjoying it tho but dont expect everyone to feel the same. Dont compare it to dbz when even in dragonball master roshi blew up the moon

You cant compare the two DBZ was never about the plot. Naruto was a great story up until the Kage summit leading into the war arc. DBZ was all about the fights and you can see NAruto fighting style became DBZish because Kishi couldn't remain consistent. Naruto now is just a knock off DBZ no matter how you look at it. Now this is also just my opinion but DBZ was released a long time ago so you also can't really compare plot induced mangas to battle manga like DBZ which was always about the action and came out a long ass time ago. That's the main reason why I say you cant compare a legend like DBZ to something like Naruto. Naruto wanted to be DBZ so bad it de-graded itself.

Not to mention DBZ anime shits on Naruto anime. DBZ games also shits and DBZ popularity also shits all over Naruto x10.

Also they clearly dont know shit about writing and could never understand that in writing what matters is how well a creator communicates his intentions of his series through the audience.

Everyone that watched dragon ball knows it was action and that's what you watch it for period. It was an action manga (still the best structured one yet) that's what counts for the series in tents of writing because that was the whole point. The action being good or bad is entirely subjective but the point is anyone that says it was bad because its not story driven proves their ignorance of writing.

That's as stupid as saying a comedy movie was bad because it wasn't action driven. It's funny how shitty people arguments against db being the great series it was are though very easy to refute.

DB is the best thing ever happen in Manga industry bcus it started a new dimension for mainstream Shonen works. First Shonen manga is no other than Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy. But this series still couldnt leave big impact to Shonen world as DB.

The most easy going, simple, not too heavy and enjoyable Shonen at that time.

The problem with you here is that you look from anime POV and not Manga POV as manga is the canon source for mainstream Shonen series.

Judge it from manga and not anime. Manga wise, DB's manga fighting action is looking more interesting than Naruto's manga fighting action
