Why do people consider FTG speed?

Whenever someone makes a thread about who's the fastest, people always say it's Minato due to FTG.....FTG is teleportation, it's not Minato himself moving.

It's like saying if a 1997 honda was racing against a Bugatti Veyron in a circuit, and the honda won because it took a shortcut when the Bugatti did the whole lap

That doesn't make the honda faster

This terrible analogy was just to give an example of when people compare Naruto or A's speed to Minato's and that's why I don't consider FTG to be speed.

Minato does indeed have the best reflexes in the manga, but he doesn't have the fastest bodily movement speed.

Anyone else agree? Disagree?

Speed is pretty much of how fast you run and how long did it take for you to get over there in a certain amount of time. Ftg is a space time justu. It's a faster way so that's why some people count it as speed

yeah, it works just like a wormhole; it connects two points(A and B) and bends space till those points have zero distance between them and then you simply walk through.....speed is irrelevant

Nice analogy and True. FTG is not a natural speed ability. BUT Bcause of Minato's unsurpassed reflexes it has a use that NO other shinobi can compare with, and that is a perfect combo for a shinobi of Minato's skill level.

and that is the theory of how a wormhole operates(yes I know there is no evidence to their existence either)

I put speed and reflexes as separate categories. Minato is indeed fast, but not faster than Naruto. However, Minato has the best reflexes in the manga
