That's because you are delusional.

The only single characters who could stand a chance against Edo Madara are, Naruto, Kabuto (w/ edo tensei excluding Madara), and possibly Tobi with the bijuu + gedo mazo.

Based on Dan's statements, I was under the impression that although Hashirama can beat Madara, he's not necessarily the strongest in history. Basically what I mean is that it implied that Hashirama's techniques are what allowed him to be able to defeat Madara, but that does not mean that other shinobi couldn't beat Hashirama.

Basically what I'm saying is that prime Hiruzen might have been able to defeat Hashirama, but only Hashirama had the techniques necessary to defeat Madara. Get what I'm saying?

oh yeah, you mean 70 years old Hiruzen lost to weaker Edo Tensei 1st Hokage and weaker Edo Tensei 2nd Hokage and Orochimaru

+ Dan didn't live in the time of Hiruzen's prime

Yes he did because hiruzen is 20 year older than tsunade and Dan is older than her by about 3-4 years .so Dan was alive when the third was hokage and the first was hokage most likely around 12 years old because in the manga it show tsunade around 8-9 year old in with her grandfather the first hokage

Come on guys, Hashirama beat Madara who is considered one of the strongest shinobi in the world and also an Uchiha. In that legendary battle, Madara has the eternal mangekyo shiringan, the kyuubi, and near the end , the Rinnegan. So tell me how is Prime Hiruzen stornger than Hashirama?:flaw:

Narutobase Myth Buster to the rescue.

The bolded part is dead wrong. We learned that Madara survived the fight at the Valley of the End. He got Rinnegan at some point after that fight. He didn't have it against Hashirama.

At the bolded, underlined, italicized part; Madara summoned the kyuubi and at first was using it against him but if you read the manga you will see that it says that Hashirama gained control of it during their fight.

So instead of it being Madara +Kyuubi vs. Hashirama, it was
Madara vs. Kyuubi + hashirama


Misconceptions like this are why people overrate Hashirama.

I feel like I'm walking on thin ice here but...Hiruzen DID manage to seal both Hashirama and Tobirama, and then seal a part of Orochimaru's soul as well. Why didn't Hashirama stop that?

Also, Iruka said that the third Hokage was praised as the strongest of all.

Wanna know why... Because Hashirama already defeated Madara so the first thing that comes to mind after the person was already defeated is to have the same person fight again.

But then explain why Hiruzen was able to defeat edo-Hashirama? granted Hashirama just would come back to gather since his soul was bound to the world. But Hiruzen technically defeated Hashirama and 2nd Hokage while fighting Oro as well while not in his prime so that's just a clue.
