It's classic which came first chicken or egg philosophy. Hagoromo's story has too many inconsistencies. If blending the chakra leads to the fruit, how then could that have occurred unless someone did it?

He clearly understands the consequences and that they are to be avoided. So, if she ate fruit how did she combine the chakra to make the fruit? She hadn't eaten the fruit yet.

So, either Hagoromo can't put two and two together or he's lying, or he is telling the truth as he knows it.

Its possible. But if she is the Fruit, whats her purpose of existence? and youre saying that whole "dont touch the fruit" thing is a scam or do you think the purpose was for kaguya to be born?

One thing could link wel withthis theory, its the Byakugan I call it "master of chakra" it can control and see chakra better than anything and anyone. So I've always connected byakugan to chakra somehow, but this could be an explanation for that =D

I'm still skeptic about it as I have my own theory, but none the less its a Great thread as always, Creative imagination + Rep

If one is to evoke "manga>you" philosophy - one should ensure he knows what the manga says.

Because manga > you.

That said - I do not support the idea that Kaguya is the fruit.

I could elaborate upon why, but I've done enough speculating and counter-speculating for a while. There are multiple different interpretations that can be made using a number of different justifications.

Ermmm, They thought the Shinju was a host of God, it was worshiped. But the Shinju itself can't talk. We never got a scan where it talked itself, except when Kaguya told Madara to absorb her.

Great thread as always man. It's hard to refute what you said when it's so well put together like that, who knows, maybe she is the fruit. Like others have said, there's still a lot of questions that come up if she is the fruit but like I said it's hard to disagree with your argument.

I dont think she meant the earth being her nursery as her birthplace. she meant to say the earth is where she will raise her children and we already know she is going to make an army of zetsus. So the zetsu are her children and they will be raised on earth. She isn't the fruit. The fruit story is symbolic to the adam and eve story of the forbidden fruit. All chakra belongs to her references how she was the first to have chakra and she used her chakra to connect to all people if you remember the image of her at the top and lines connecting all people. So go back to adam and eve.

Adam and Eve ate the fruit that allowed knowledge of sin. They made everyone else have access to sin. Just as kaguya eating the fruit gave chakra access to all people. She realized this and connected herself to everyone to get it all back and that is when the first zetsus were made.

The fruit is symbolic... Kaguya would be the result of concentrated nature chakra (from the tree sucking up the worlds energy) it could be seen as the fruit being the vessel (kaguya's body) with the world chakra being the life force.

It was a nice Theory. I just don't see how or why the Shinju would rampage to get part of itself back if that part wanted to break off and turn into a woman..? It's not like it's stolen in that case... Idk, it's a good theory none the less.

Mmmm not a bad theory but I am not convinced. Before the fruit was born all chakra was in the Shinju (aka the God of Creation). Every 1000 Years a fruit is born which then takes all chakra from the tree. So basically this myth refers to the 1000 years rebirth cycle of the Elemental Nations founding god.

Fruit->Sapling Tree->Fully Grown Tree->Old Tree->New Fruit(old tree dies)

My best bet currently is that Kaguya is a being similar to the Shinju, which makes her a demoness/(demi-)goddess. Her natural power was the Byakugan(or a proto form of it) which allowed her to see/detect other sources of godly power. In her greed for more she consumed the reborn Shinju (aka the Fruit), though her body couldn't adapt fully to the overflow of chakra and created Hagoromo and Hamura to balance the power. Those two are human because the Shinju created the Elemental Nations and all beings there.

Edit: The Juubi is then in fact the rampaging out of control form of Kaguya + Shinju. Maybe her sons tried to banish her and created this abomination through their actions?
