Itachi showed far more feats of his intelligence, he was supposed to have a Hokages wisdom at an age of 7. In what terms Minato surpasses Itachis intelligence? Because he analyzed Obitos abilities like a few others did too and managed to catch him off guard thanks to a technique that allows him to do? A pity these Minato fans, I'm sorry.

I fail to understand what "sharingan giving an advantage in battle" has to do with this thread? we're talking about intelligence aren't we? sharingan doesn't aid a ninjas intellectual ability..

We are talking about intelligence, although his sharingan, gives him a massive advantage in battle thus giving him the advantage when out smarting people.

I'm just saying Itachi hasn't shown feats that are that impressive either, in terms of intelligence... Kakashi in my opinion is above Itachi.

analytical ability- i'd say itachi has a slight edge although minato lacks the screentime itachi does tbf

long-term plans- minato, he set naruto up to succeed whereas itachi didn't really give sasuke a shot at happiness or choosing the path he wanted.

creation of techniques- minato, as far as i know itachi created none.

battle strategy- imo, itachi isn't really a tactical fighter, he's good at analysing the opponent and using the right technique for the job to counter but as far as creative strategies go the likes of naruto,jiraiya,kakashi,sasuke and shikamaru leave him in the dust. minato doesn't really have any strategic feats to his name either imo, so they don't get a vote from me. before any fanboy jumps down my throat, i know their fighting style is tactical in itself, but they basically have a winning formula and stick with it. itachi-sharingan genjutsu, if that fails pull out the ms, if that fails use susanoo. minato- ftg and put a mark on the opponent when he gets in close quarters, then nail him when he's least expecting it with a kunai stab or rasengan. it's a strategy which gets fantastic success and versatile, but hardly creative imo. the shinobi i've mentioned above's strategy is a work of art.

What does battle that have to do with Minato's plans? Minato's plan was for Naruto to unify with the Kyubi to save the world later, something that succeeded. We even saw Minato lately happy that it indeed succeeded

Except like i've said, Minato never failed. His plans are still working. All Itachi plans are dead and failed. He failed by killing his clan when there was other alternatives. He failed with Tobi who endangers the world right now. He failed with Sasuke.

Wrong traduction. Itachi was never stated to have Hokage wisdom at 7. It was stated he was thinking like a Hokage at 7 in the way that he was always thinking about the future of the village exactly like a Hokage should do. That's something totally different from the BS you're claiming

Minato figured him out, attacked Tobi and beat him. He would've killed Tobi had Tobi not teleport and hide.
