Who has amaterasu been used on

:edo nagato(perfect counter)
sasuke(wasn't trying to kill, had a counter)
Killer bee(owned by sasuke. he chose to put it out)
Raikage(Perfect counter)
Juubito(strongest ninja in the series, perfect counter)

Can you see how amaterasu is used on the perfect people to face it? It would kill anyone who has no such counter as these. Not to mention amaterasu is now less predictable due to sasuke's EMS.

Wanna bring amaterasu into this? Besides Shukaku(fodder) how many casualties have occurred from the tbb?

I know why he didn't use it. its isn't as battle ready as say the raikage's speed. I think naruto is undoubtedly fast but lacks the ability to effectively use this speed for anything other than deflecting or catching attacks and short bursts

BM Naruto has better speed then let's say Madara, so u are only satisfied if Naruto blitzes him and punch of his head in 1 strike cause thats what he should be able to do.

Its for the story to be alot more convincing to balance thigns out a bit, the way u want it the writing would be boring and stupid. stop trying to look for logic cause it will only hurt your brains, its a damn manga where people shoot fire with their eyes break mountains with their fists.

By that logic MAdara can't use the meteor everytime he pleases and he can only use preta path out of all the rinnegan powers. Obito cant use any rinnegan powers apart from summoning gedo mezo

suigetsu and killer bee both took one to the face. Both are still alive. Amaterasu isn't hailed as a mountain busting technique. It is an end the fight quick jutsu. amaterasu serves more purposes than tbb also. What is lacks in raw power it makes up for in speed and defensive capabilities. And if focused you can't just cut it off because if would affect too much of the body

OP techniques and Jutsus are just that, OP.

People should never expect them to really do anything, especially in this manga. They're just there for show.

They won't kill certain characters, only the irrelevant rubbish.

Madara's is just pride and wanting to test his new abilities. Madara has been toying with the alliance. Obito was restricted because he has the bijuu out. he hasn't really needed the reinnegan due to kamui. and the time he did need it(Sm naruto) he thought he had kamui still. Naruto isn't holding back and has no reason to. so he has no excuse

That isn't the same at all. Kirin is an extremely situational jutsu. because of its needed prep time and sasuke's new abilities, he really doesn't need it. He still has it he just has no real need. Are you suggesting naruto has no need for his speed?

Ok new example. Why hasn't Obito killed Minato with his godly speed. We know he wants to get rid of everyone. Minato and Tobirama are the only ones who can stop his tree atm. Why hasn't he blitzed them?
Also Obito could have done with shinra tensei or naraka path when he fought Kakashi in the kamui dimension.

see my point? every time amaterasu has been used, it is in some extenuating circumstances such as the tbb on Suigetsu. If used on anyone else it would be effective. the same goes for every time amaterasu has been used

Plus, you say that Amaterasu has been only used on those who have "perfect counters" for it. From that point of view you should get that Obito has the perfect counter for Naruto's speed by being intangible 99% of the time.

Speed doesn't matter if you're trying to hit a ghost.

Sounds oddly like the excuse you're condemning Naruto fans for using.
Look boy, what I am trying to say is Kishi nerfs or hypes a character's abilities depending on plot. A prime example is amaterasu.
When Kishi introduced it, he said it was an inextinguishable black flame that appears instantly on a target.
Later when the plot demanded so, he changed from instantly appearing on a target to instantly appearing around a target.
In short, we didn't see Naruto's speed because Kishi didnt wan't him to solo both Obito and Madara before the alliance and Sasuke and the kages arrived. That will be majorly anti climatic.

well, you were pretty much trying to remove Naruto's speed and saying "it shouldn't be used in debates/vs threads" even though he have more than one feat with it, unlike Sasuke with kirin that only has one.
