he has only 1 true speed feat in KCM the one of dodging the raiakge v2.
he has two in BM but only 1 that is truly impressive, considering he was saved both times during the second one
the point is his speed isn't consistent but it is treated as if it is in VS threads

Whats the greatest feat of amaterasu? indeed... didnt kill much did it, yet in every vs thread its "Amatasu gg"
same can be said about Tsukyomi.. just bacause Naruto is momentarily the fastest character in the manga in base speed it doesnt mean Kishi can just let him waltz over everyone without trouble altho logiclly speaking he should be able.

Who has amaterasu been used on
:edo nagato(perfect counter)
sasuke(wasn't trying to kill, had a counter)
Killer bee(owned by sasuke. he chose to put it out)
Raikage(Perfect counter)
Juubito(strongest ninja in the series, perfect counter)
Can you see how amaterasu is used on the perfect people to face it? It would kill anyone who has no such counter as these. Not to mention amaterasu is now less predictable due to sasuke's EMS.
Wanna bring amaterasu into this? Besides Shukaku(fodder) how many casualties have occurred from the tbb?
the point of the =is thread is to illustrate that BM naruto's speed is overrated until he displays it on a more consistent basis

"Misunderstood" is a better word to use rather than overrated.
Does Naruto have speed? Correct. But speed is a mere tool just like everything. Just because someone has a tool, it does not mean tool will be used perfectly. You can hand someone the best sword in the world; that does not make someone the best swordsman.
Right now; Naruto has the sword; but we can't call him a great swordsman. He has great speed; but his usage is not great as his speed.

the susanoo intercept isn't really a speed feat considering he was right there. sure Ill give you naruto blocking the shuriken but both he and his clone needed to be saved tow seconds later. why didn't they use their "amazing speed" to dodge?

No one said he didn't have the capability to be fast. but he lacks the current ability to be consistent making his speed overrated

Maybe u should write a letter to Kishi... indeed why they didnt used their amazing speed?..who knows, but it doesnt change the fact that its there as stated in manga.

I know why he didn't use it. its isn't as battle ready as say the raikage's speed. I think naruto is undoubtedly fast but lacks the ability to effectively use this speed for anything other than deflecting or catching attacks and short bursts
