Also, do not forget that Madara was so skilled with the Sharingan that he actually evolved it into a completely different Dojutsu.

We all know that skilled regular Sharingan users can beat foes like Deidara.

The Mangekyo Sharingan can tame the Kyuubi, defeat S-Rank Ninja like Orochimaru with ease, and use three great dojutsu.

The Eternal is a mystery. Itachi stated that it is a new dojutsu that gives an additional power I would assume.

And we all nut-ride the Rinnegan whether we like it or not.

The fact that Madara was this skilled with his Sharingan makes him seem formidable as it is.

True you do have a good point. He is formidable. Also, I read the chapter like 5 times (no lifer lol) but I believe Madara is underestimating the Kages rather than playing around/ testing their abilities out.

Lol Madara's power isn't exaggerated he can take on any kage level that we see alone. That's strong enough. Taking on the overpowered Naruto clone, tired, Gaara and old man was enough for me. Now he is facing 5 Kages even if he isn't going down yet.

As for the battle I don't know if they'll be able to seal Edo Madara. Remember Itachi is meant to be on the way to stop the Edo Technique. Also the only way to stop it is for Kabuto to release the technique. If Kabuto dies, Edo Madara still lives. The only Villans left are Kabuto, Edo madara, tobi & sasuke. Tobi, Madara & Kabuto are going to be in confrontations soon. I don't think they would kill them off very soon.

None of his power is exaggerated but, a great deal of Madara's invincibility was thanks to Edo Tensei. I wonder how he would have fared if he had to be chakra-conscious against all those kages. After his recent performance, I think he can take any kage 1 vs. 1, especially the way he is right now.

When Itachi finally catches up to Kabuto, look for more of a "OMG is that Orochimaru coming back into the manga" - moment than Kabuto dying. It's just blatantly obvious at this point, that Orochimaru coming back is going to happen.

Legends from the distant past are always greatly exaggerated. I think that's the case with Edo Tensei Madara.

We were all in aw and amazed by Madara's speed, power, and abilities when he was first revived. But look at the shinobi he fought against. Although it was a large number of them they were probably all chuunin level, maybe even some jounin.

We all also thought that with EMS that there would be a power overload, but in reality the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan only does one thing: Prevent blindness. (This kind of foreshadows Sasuke's power). All of the techniques he has shown are nothing new. We've all seen susano'o, high level fire attacks etc.

Now once we saw that Madara had the Rinnegan. People were mind fucked into thinking this guy has insane power just because of the dojutsu he wields. Remember Zetsu himself said its not the weapon but how the person uses that weapon.

When it comes to using the Rinnegan, Nagato>Madara. He uses it more fluidly, and because Rinnegan is one of the highest level of Dojutsu I believe that Nagato is stronger than Madara. So are a lot of other current ninjas.

His Susano'o was already proven useless against Gaara and Naruto. Now the Raikage and Mizukage. He has the same powers as the 6 paths with the Rinnegan + EMS techniques + Wood release, yet he is still getting owned on the battlefield.

The thing about this fight with Madara and the Kages is that they know most of his abilities. He's a Uchiha so they know his MS techs and that he is a fire elemental user. Tsunade knows the Rennigan techs because she fought against Pain. Madara knows nothing about them except Oonoki. Also Madara is using nothing but his Susanoo for obvious reason, he doesn't want to take damage and get sealed while obviously testing to see what abilities the Kages have before he probably goes all out. Oonoki is the key Kage in this battle to defeat Susanoo because so far he is the one that ultimately keeps combining his powers with others to counter Susanoo(Gaara was able to toss Madara out of Susanoo because of Oonoki and Raikage was able to pierce Susanoo because of Oonoki and Oonoki stopped the damn meteor).

When Madara starts to use Ama, Wood release and the Rennigan but is still losing the battle, that's when we can say hes overrated.

My definition of opinion is "a judgement that has been formed, but not necessarily based off of fact or knowledge". If you have your or definition then to each his own. This debate will go nowhere.

But i say it again. The point of my first quote, was to wait untill we see madaras full power to start making such statements. Or in your case, "opinions".
