When did Naruto go downhill?

I myself didn't really consider Obito being Tobi- for the same reasons as many others- it felt too obvious and what not. I remember Scorps wanting to catch a plane to go to Japan to kill Kishi for it. XD

But moderating forums that day helped me go past my personal disappointment within an hour. So much spam and I was the only active general mod at the time. -_- Totally gave me all new perspective of everything. hmm

Had anyone noticed that Sasuke needs to be TnJ'ed by people in order to make decisions about his life?

TnJ'ed by Itachi in to fostering his hatred and doing whatever it takes defeat him. Becoming an "Avenger"

TnJ'ed by Oro in to becoming "merciless" in the face of his enemies.

TnJ'ed by Obito in to seeking revenge against the Leaf, Danzo and even joining the Akatsuki to capture Bee.

TnJ'ed by Edo Itachi in to walking his own path, even it was filled with carnage.

TnJ'ed by Hashirama, Tobirama, and Hiruzen about the Leaf's history and what it means to be Hokage.

TnJ'ed by Naruto in to giving up his hatred. This of course after a major ass beating.

Hell Sakura probably TnJ'ed Sasuke into sharing a bed with her.

after the tobi reveal...dont get me wrong..obito was a well written character and all but it kind of lost its touch after that..i felt like almost nothing was used to its full potential like it was before..it felt like kishi wasnt even trying anymore....juubi was a total disappointment to me,naruto vs sasuke was meh and ending as well

The only thing missing at the end of the Invasion of Pein arc was the accomplishment of Naruto's two main goals: to save Sasuke and become Hokage. Otherwise, it had a sense of accomplishment and completion that the end of the story failed to match.

It would have been nice to see another triumphant return to the village, or Naruto's hokage ceremony, but instead we got random images in 699, Sasuke leaving again, and a time-skip to an alternate universe.

*sigh* so many things left unresolved.

I did like parts of the war. The fights were epic, but I feel they labored on far too long. So much Uchiha wank in the later part of the series. We didn't get nearly the same amount of info about the Senju, Uzumaki, Otsutsuki (Kaguya, Hagormo, Hamura), the Hyuga clans. What we did get was primarily through flashbacks and from characters who had long since died. If Edo Tensei wasn't used and abused, we'd be completely in the dark about the other major clans not named Uchiha.


Also those Bijuu and their jins (2 tails - 7 tails). They could've used an arc, where we could learn about them. I only know the character's names because of the Ninja Storm games.

My major disappointments with the manga :-

Orochimaru being thrown in the Dustbin.

Madara being thrown out of the story so suddenly, no fights, no struggle against BZ.

Kaguya having zero personality Development.

And this is the worst of it all :-

Sasuke declaring a revolution and then making a face turn in just 5 Chapters. This was imo the worst thing in the manga.

I agree Kishi took waaay too long. It went downhill partly due to that. Partly due to the fact that he couldn't work out a legitimate way to defeat Madaras character so brought in a lame Kaguya via the biggest asspull the series has ever seen. And the cracks were showing when he suddenly changed Orochimarus character from something that was badass to something that became soppy and wet.

He should have continued with BZ alone. XD But the movie makers wanted the romance and to take the pair to the moon or something so we got a randm moon goddess instead of the tree spirit alone.
