I somewhat agree, but you just listed off the most obvious parts of his character, him needing to act like Madara, and then him finally displaying emotion in more current chapters. The Konan mask bit was interesting though, that is when you finally see a different side of him.
What I like about Obito is his contrast of youth to adult, and how he lost his core ideal of those who abandon their friends are worse than trash, which is what he had selfishly decided to do every since meeting Madara. He was like early Naruto, but now he is determined to complete his personal goal, much like early Sasuke. He has been a great character throughout the series, but the mysteriousness that revolved around him while being behind a mask is what I like to think of him as, his character now is too much like a self centered Sasuke, but obviously there is a purpose to that.
