no madara says that with hashirama around, the potential devastation to the area would be much greater. he told the kages that it was a good thing for them that he wasnt there for that specific reason. they wouldve gotten killed in the crossfire. he was referencing the VOTE fight.

Seeing as how Tsunade is referencing the past in the panel before when Hashi and Madara were still alive, I see it as Madara telling Tsunade that in his time in the past, only Hashi could stop him.

Yea thats the thing. Unlimited chakra + immortal body wont mean a thing if he gets sealed. And as for the rinnegan, we've only seen him use preta path which I suspect is useless against mokuton. And the last time they fought Madara had the kyubi. He wont have that now.

The whole battle seems shaky in my opinion, I need to see the battle so that I can evaluate what happened and how it happened. But I still think that all those power ups is obviously just too much for Hashi.

Madara and hashi fought befor, without the kyuubi, None were able to kill the other.

They could have been equals, madara could have brought the kyuubi to give himself the edge otherwise it would end in another draw.
Him bring the kyuubi doesn't mean he brought it because hashi is stronger.
