What Madara REALLY said about Hashirama

True, which is why as I said before, you gotta read the whole sentence in order to understand it well.
Like I said, the fact that he says Hashirama is no longer with them instead of saying even Hashirama wont be able to stop him now suggests Hashirama could stop him even now.

I agree too, that's the only part I'm hung up on. But the fact that he says, "And he is no longer with us" stands out for me. If he had said, "But he is no longer with us" then I might see it. The "and" is the thing that makes the big difference, I don't infer from that "and" that he's saying that if he was here, he might stand a chance.

But logically speaking, if Hashi could barely defeat Madara when he had EMS, it doesn't make any sense that he could defeat hhim now that he's been eleveated byond his prime and with the rinnegan.

madara speaks like he was this strong in life which he was because both edo and ems madara share the same full power. as long as madara has perfect susano as his full power, hashirama will always be able to beat him since he beat perfect susano before. he also says that the landscape would be affected as drastically with only one of them around.

Well look at this way. Even with all his power ups P.S is still his greatest weapon and Hashi presumably countered it. So if Hashi can stop P.S, he stands a chance, or better yet he has a better chance of beating Edo Madara than anyone I can think off.

Yea thats the thing. Unlimited chakra + immortal body wont mean a thing if he gets sealed. And as for the rinnegan, we've only seen him use preta path which I suspect is useless against mokuton. And the last time they fought Madara had the kyubi. He wont have that now.
