Kishi also illustrated the novels. You think kishi would associate his name with something he doesn't agree with or hasn't read. Something which "undermines" his version. Your the only biased 1. The novels are to give in the missing details that shaped the characters. And I repeat it was written by his underling a member of his manga team with whom they discuss things and ideas before writing the manga chapter.
