amaterasu cant be countered by healing/regen because the flame will never cease its contact.
the repair can only take place by reclaiming the corrupted space & trauma.
the flame will steadily consume flesh in spite of the seal activation.
the byakugou user would burn out like a match over time.

there is no mechanical counter to amaterasu.

Actually his approach would get rid of ama albeit in a tortuous method, its basically a similar approach to oral rebirth. The areas effect by ama would be removed and then they would regrow with yin seal. Although I do agree that is not a counter, but more of a check.

that only really works if its a small patch of fire. what if her hand catches on fire while she tries to cut her skin off? pretty counter productive
