Why isnt naruto on your list? Kyubi is part of his power if your going to take it away then why not take the sharington from uchihas and say there not prodigies even without the kyubi he should be on the list he learned the rassengan in 3 days which took minato 3 years and he surpassed his father with the technique after he learned the rassenshuriken and that's not top 10 worthy? He also surpassed jiraya in sage mode learning a perfect sage mode while it takes jiraya 5 minutes.

16 is too old because in the Naruto Universe, everyone is pretty much as strong as they are going to be unless they have something special about them. Ten Ten, Gaara, Kankuro, and Temari are prime examples. when have you seen them do anything brand new since Shippuden even began?
Naming 4 ppl that suit your point are not grounds for being right. I can name 4 that go against what youre claiming..Kakashi, during the first half of Naruto he was strong, but look at how much stronger he is now. Unlocked MS? He is way older than 16. Kabuto..older than 16. Look how he has improved. Madara didnt even unlock rinnegan till right before he died, he got stronger after he was 16. And even Orochimaru. He went off and invented tons on new jutsu after he was much older, nearly perfecting Edo Tensei.
"unless they have something special about them"?? Having something special about you is the name of the game when it comes to being a prodigy. Naruto is only 15-16 and continues to get stronger. Naruto HAS something special about him, in fact he is the most special in the series, that is what makes him the number one prodigy. He's not done growing, he is a teenager and is currently one of the strongest...and im sure hes just going to continue to get better...Prodigy.
And Kankuro? Kankuro just aquired whats arguably his strongest puppet in Sasori.

Chief 16 is too old to be a prodigy, if you're 16 and a great shinobi = Big Woop, If you a kid say 6-9 and a great shinobi = Prodigy, age is the key factor for being considered a prodigy, if a 16 was considered a prodigy, half the NARUTO universe would be prodigies....

Naruto gotta be really talented mastering sage mode in 2 weeks and not mentioning fighting a bijuu as a kid with only 2 techniques and wining(naruto vs graa) I kmow people always says kyuubi but compared to all the other jin with more skill he really did descent with no much help

Hate to raid on your bashing parade but Haku could perform jutsus with one hand seal. That was not his kekkei genkai just a water technique.

Haku was not trying to kill Naruto and Sasuke the whole time. Dont forget this. He only lost to outta control Kyuubi Naruto. Haku was only 11 btw

People age the same way in Naruto world as they do in the real world. 16 could be a prodigy.
Even if you want to discount everything else, the short time interval in which Naruto has powered up trumps literally everything else ever.
At the age of 12 Naruto wasn't even a real ninja yet. He could do literally nothing (because no one cared about him enough to help teach him anything). 4 years later he is the single most powerful living person.(Edo Madara is not living)
So I ask you, is that a prodigy? Name someone else who improved that much in 4 years?
Half the NARUTO universe is not even close to what Naruto is. He has easily become one of the strongest Shinobi in the world and definitely the strongest of his generation, with sasuke. He has done all of this before he is even done growing. The difference we seem to be having is that we can't agree on an age cut-off for when you have to have become an exceptional shinobi. If that is the case...then, to you, what is the maximum age you think a ninja can be before he can no longer be considered a prodigy if he/she hasnt already?
