naruto cant be a prodigy if wasnt gifted with natural talent... he keeps up with the prodigies through hardwork

technically i would say the So6P is the number one prodigy for creating ninjutsu and his other accomplishments
Some of the people on this list definitely aquired their abilites in suspect ways, but to me at least, that doesnt mean they arent prodigies. Prodigies are those that at a young age are incredibly gifted, they almost never have to work for it. So if the ability was given to them, so be it.
10. Neji- Everyone creamed their pants over Neji during the chunnin exams. Obviously he had built a name for himself already. Hinata's father even admitted that Neji could end up surpassing all the Hyuga before him. Prodigy.
9. Sasori- This one's interesting because obviously we don't know a ton about him in general. It was said though that he was the most skilled Puppeteer and kidnapped the third? (I think) kazekage at what I assume had to have been a pretty young age. Left the village at young age and had already built a name for himself.
8. Kakashi- Dont know why there seems to be a split on this. It's been stated numerous times that Kakashi exceled as a child, got his sharingan at a very young age (and yeah I know how he got it, doesnt take away from the fact that he acquired it at a young age)
7. Orochimaru- We don't know a ton about his youth, but it's been alluded too that he pretty much was awesome. If he wasn't such a douchebag about all the abductions and stuff he probably would have succeeded Hiruzen as Hokage.
6. Kabuto- Now that weve seen a little more of his past I think he can be included. Obviously he was an extremely skilled spy when he was younger. Pretty much mastered medical nin as we saw he could heal sakura from a distance, something we havent seen from any another medical ninja. Went toe-to-toe with Tsunade using Tai and Medical Justu something she's suppose to be the best at and obviously now with his new found abilities he pretty much kicks a**. Oh and mastered Edo Tensei...rape.
5. Gaara-Even though his power when he was young was derived from the Shikaku (or as we've seen now, his mommy's love? Or whatever) it's still an ability he had. But yeah Gaara killed several Sand Jounin when he was like 3, was the centerpiece of "Crush the Leaf" at 12-13 and became Kazekage at 16
4. Nagato- Regardless of how he required his eyes, he stil had them, like at a super young age. Mastered every element during his training with Jiraya. Still relitively young when he released Gedo.
3. Minato- Again, everyone seems to agree here. Youngest Hokage. Whopped some Jounin from another village when he was young. FTG and his speed and smarts.

3. Itachi- This one I think everyone agrees on. So many accolades by the time he was ten. Killed one of the most powerful clans almost by himself at a young age. Yeah, Itachi Rules.
2. Sasuke- Awakened his eyes at a young age. Mastered chidori as a genin and Big Uchiha Fireball whatever its called before. While the circumstances of killing Orochimaru were iffy, he still could hang with him and went toe-to-toe with Yamato during the Sasuke retrieval arc. Killed Diedara, danzo, faught A and B to their max etc. Sasuke's a prodigy hands down.
1.Naruto-Dont even try to make an argument against him. Mastered Frog Sage Mode at a young age (much better than Jiraya) the only other person able to do it. Mastered 2 A-rank jutsu, rasengan and shadow clone at an extremely young age (oh and mastered rasengan in like a week). Just look at him now, he's like 15 or 16 and is running things. I'm not gonna use the argument that since the manga's called naruto hes a prodigy, cus thats not at all what that means, but he's been awesome, just look at him at his current age. Imagine if being a ninja was like being a football player and Naruto at that age was way better than the professionals, lets say jounin, kage etc. He would be called a prodigy.
These 11 all have had mention of being powerful in their youth...Obviously Madara, Hashirama, Tobi etc. are some of the most powerful currently, but we don't know enough about their past to label them as "prodigies". Could just be late bloomers...But maybe not. I dont know. And Iwanted to add Yagura but Im not sure how old he is...if he became Mizukage at a young age and was able to control tailed beast than yea, im just not sure if the manga confirmed his age.

ok I have some quick questions about Naruto being on your list.
1. how is he a prodigy when he just barely got out of the Academy?
2. a prodigy is great from pretty much birth so how could naruto be a prodigy when the Nine Tails actually fought all of his major battles through possesion of Naruto's body and/or lending Naruto chakra.
3. piggybacking my second question, Naruto may have learned Multi Shadow clone Jutsu and Rasengan, but he hadn't done anything truly worth praise on his own until he perfected those two jutsu.
4. lastly, Naruto, as a fighter didn't fight in any full battles alone until he fought Sasuke at the Final Valley, whereas everyone else on your list actually made names for themselves WAAAAAAY before Naruto so he cant really be called a prodigy. Plus he mastered Sage Jutsu at 16, which is waaay too old for anyone to be called a prodigy (in this instance)

because itachi is not the leader of akasuki.
Tobi is the leader of akasuki and minato defeated Tobi in the past but Tobi is still alive while the 4th hokage is

Another proof is Minato invented rasengan and flash step

Not the topic of this thread. So I'll say this than be done with it. Inventing two jutsu is not grounds for being stronger than Itachi or Tobi. The other "piece?" isnt missing, minato sealed it along with himself with the Dead Demon seal. Also, and I cant believe Im actually having to prove this point, Naruto already talked to his parents, both of them, because they were sealed inside of him and both alluded too what happened too them. In fact, Kushina goes in to graphic detail about it. How is it you dont know this?

if prodigy is a young person or child with extrordinary talent than in that case Kakashi is a league ahead of sasuke bcoz kakashi became a jounin at a young age that sasuke was unable to acheive at that age....................Regarding what you said about Naruto, pretty much everyone is born with great potential, the prodigies being the ones who fulfill it at a young age, which doesn't exactly include Naruto.
Thank you for leaving out Jiraiya (he's just like Naruto), and you're also right about Konohamaru, Gaara, Obito, and Nagato. But don't forget we found out later it was Gaara's mom who made the sand move, not Shukaku
In regards to Kabuto, in terms of medical jutsu, he was definitely a prodigy. Shikamaru's kinda the same way, just in terms of intel and strategy rather than medical.
Sasuke, while I agree that's he a prodigy, you're kinda going about it the wrong way. Before the massacre even took place, he was said to be performing some of the clan's more powerful fire techniques, which is the real proof that he's a prodigy. His performance in the academy after receiving his Sharingan was basically driven by his desire to kill Itachi. His performance in the academy might've been different if that never happened, even if only slightly. Not hatin', just sayin' your data's a bit off.
The other prodigies you listed seem about right to me. Just don't forget Izuna. If he was Madara's equal, then he was likely a prodigy as well.

That was different though. If you actually compare them side by side and not just their graduation/promotion times, you would see that Sasuke was far more powerful than Kakashi ever was.
At the age of 12 Sasuke fought and beat a jinchurikki in a tailed beast cloak. Kakashi could never dream of doing that at that age.
Same with Naruto, he literally beat a fully transformed jinchurikki (it hadn't reached full power but still, Naruto did that without going into a tailed beast cloak).
He just doesn't match-up. Sure he graduated before them but take it in context. Sasuke didn't even go to the academy until he was 12, but he still graduated in one year like Itachi, Kakashi, Minato, etc.
And about becoming chuunin/jounin, well Naruto and Sasuke are still genin. I would like to see a 16 year old Kakashi fight either of them, because like it or not they are still teens. Very young teens.
