OK, my theory isn't very common but I think it makes the most sense.

Basically, I think Tobi is a creation from Izanagi... think about it, Izanagi can turn reality into imagination (as Danzo used it) but can also turn imagination to reality which we've never seen being used after the sage of six paths used it to create the bijuus.

Ok, what do you need to be able to use this technique? The sharingan, but also the senju DNA. Which is why Danzo had it implanted into him by Orochimaru. Madara also had both after his fight with the 1st Hokage as we have seen him use wood style jutsus.

So, before he died he used Izanagi to create Tobi. Probably so Tobi could revive Madara later on... using Nagato! Yes, Tobi has said he was the one who gave Nagato the rinnegan, and when Madara was revived he spoke of him.

Of course we don't know all the details, but from what I conclude, Tobi is some kind of replica of Madara created using the powers of Izanagi.

What do you guys think?

I thought he used "Creation of All Things" (万物創造, Banbutsu Sōzō) to create the tailed beasts. It's the jutsu from which Izanagi came from. And i tend to think that only this has to power to convert imagination into reality, while Izanagi on the other hand can only turn reality into imagination... otherwise don't you think Danzo or Tobi would have made better use of it?

Tobirama invented edo tensei + Tobi didn´t know what edo tensei was = YOUR THEORY FAIL!

Instead of writing stupid arguments like this, read my previous posts. I already answered it twice, and i don't have time to keep repeat the same thing over and over.

i dont lack arguments ... for example:

Tobirame had white/blue hair - tobi have black ...
Tobirame loved the village and wouldn't attack it ...
Tobirame dont have the uchiha blood in him, so how could he have mastered the sharingan so perfectly?

How do you know Tobirama's real nature? We basically don't know anything about him, except that he invented Edo Tensei and had pretty badass Jutsus.

Does it seems that Tobi has mastered the Sharingan? I haven't seen him put anyone into a Genjutsu yet, or use Amaterasu or anything so far. Where did you get that assumption.

Tobi attacked konoha before the third sealed him when naruto was born. He was still weak then. So no.

What this has to do with Tobi being Tobirama at all?
Tobirama's ONE PART - SOUL was still dead nonetheless.

Tobi, or Tobirama for me was alive only with his body, and he splitted up before his death. He was shell of his former self, because he can't use any Jutsus.
His soul is dead, but it got revived with Edo Tensei, then sealed again.

We haven't saw Tobi using anything until today, what might confirm that his Soul is somewhere else, and he only has access to his Body.

I dont think Madara did the Izanagi because Izanagi takes effect at the cost of an eye, and Edo Madara had his two eyes intact. When Tobi divuldeg his face to Kisame, Kisame's comment was "General" meaning the person somehow lead a war in Kisame's presence or he is Madara (probably split no jutsu lol) , because i dont think Itachi will be deceived; he met Madara (cant remember) and met Tobi

Yes he did, but according to narutopedia: "The technique is based on an ability the Sage of the Six Paths had, referred to as "Creation of All Things". The process he used is explained to have initially involved the administration of imagination, and the spiritual energy which forms the basis of Yin chakra to create shape and form from nothingness. Then, through the application of vitality, and the physical energy which forms the basis of Yang chakra, he would breathe life into the prior form. Thus, a technique with the power to turn imagination into reality was born, known as Izanagi."

izanagi has the power to take away any injury by turning it into an illusion and recreating ones own body or something like that and was derived from the sage of six paths jutsu called "creation of all things" which had the ability to create things out of nothing.

the flaw in this theory is that he would have used "creation of all things" and not izanagi but you might be onto something, well I'm just gonna sit back and wait for them to release the chapter with the info on

Yea i guess you are right... but considering this then there must be a reason why neither Tobi or Danzo used it... i mean come on, turn imagination into reality... who wouldn't sacrifice one eye for that... especially tobi who has so many...
Anyway, this could be plausible... although i for one doubt it...

This is a fail. Why would Tobi ask how to perform Edo Tensei if Tobirama created Edo Tensei. Tobirama is sealed, Tobirama would never attack Konoha, you have no possible proof that Tobi is Tobirama.

Stop trying to use your imagination. Stop taking mushrooms.

Edit: oh yeah Tobirama doesn't know Flying Thunder God.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that I don't think controlling Kyuubi could be done without a high degree of mastery over the Sharingan. Tobi put Konan in a Genjutsu to reveal Nagato's location; Not to mention he performed Izanagi. Also, how do you explain his one Space/Time Jutsu centering on his right sharingan? I figured it meant that the ability was attached to the sharingan.
