Obito's father would most likely be younger the Third. Look at when the Kyuubi attacked the Leaf. Kakashi still looked very young, hardly older than when Obito died, so maybe 14-15. Yet Hiruzen was a good 56 years old. It obviously depends on how old Obito's dad was when he had Obito, but I would say he was maximum 30 years old. In which case he would be around ten years younger than Hiruzen, but with a much higher possibility of him being younger. Don't really know what this proves, but just trying to say that he is definitely younger, which makes this theory that much less likely.

How would he have warping abilities?

And also, about him knowing about Nagato, since the eyes were given to him from the beginning, my guess he was a test tube baby (kind of like Yamato) who was later implanted after Madara's death into a civilian by Tobi. Which would then make sense with the timeline. That's a weak part, I admit, but it makes sense, especially since Nagato has no scars on his eyes, meaning that he was born with them.

Nonetheless, I shall admit then that the Obito's dad idea is a possibility, but it is the least likely, since Kishi has given us absolutely NO background on him whatsoever, and he has done so with every other villain in the Manga. Same goes for Kagami, who we saw once and was never elaborated on.

I meant madara knowing nagato, even though yamato was a test tube baby, he was not developed over decades.

His son died during a mission that they should not have been sent on.

Since madara knows nagato, and his edo form would indicate that he died young (as many ninja do) this shows that madara can know people that may lie out of his timeline.

We can base our assumptions from examples given to us by Manga.

So far all Villains have been different by 180 degree(with little variety between).
"Too be perfectly honest Kishimoto's ideal villain has become so easy to spot that you just have chuckle a little bit at Kishimoto's utter obsession with this villain archetype. This being the archetype where we have a team which parallels or in-fact is Team 7 & 1 of the characters in that team ends up going down the wrong path due to some tragedy and the guy becomes one of the main villains & is usually responsible for the death of his master. Who was the first big villain of the Naruto series: Orochimaru, Who was the next big Villain & is again to some degree: Sasuke, who was the next big villain after Part I Sasuke: Nagato. We could even probably throw Madara into this category as well considering that Hashirama parallels Naruto, Madara's Parallels Sasuke, & I wouldn't be surprised if Mito paralleled Sakura.

So considering how consistent with archetype kishi is, it seems likely that Tobi was once a member of a Team that Paralleled Team 7 & probably caused his master's death. The character who best fits this description is Obito, since he's from a team that parallels Team 7 & if he's Tobi he would be directly responsible for his master's [Minato Namikaze's] death. Other than Obito's Team there really isn't any other Team left which parallel's Team 7, which hasn't produced a villain of some kind already, so i'm not seeing many options here for Kishi other than to make Obito Tobi, if he wishes to continue his pattern, which Kishi obviously believes is fairly important to the story since he was willing to make every single major villain have the same generic back story in this regard, in-order to maintain the pattern thus far."
















Kakashi/Gai where about the same height as Naruto currently is = Obito could not have been so tall back then(Manga Proven).

Also Itachi was not as tall as hes father back then.

It's not Obito. When the masked man(tobi) fought the 4th, he looked like he was a fully grown man, and was smart at that. Obito would be too young and still a little kid compared to the 4th. Kinda logical if you think about it.

Tobi by all means i doubt could have mastered Space time in 2 years and learned to control the Kyubi. Also gain 2 new sharingan because one was crushed the other given to kakashi.

So when the series reveals this don't shocked & gasping for air. I'm not trolling or anything, I honestly believe Danzou was Tobi at some point....

Chronologically Obito is not supported. Not at all. Kakashi was 15 when Tobi attacked about 3 years after the Obito incident maybe less. Tobi by all means i doubt could have mastered Space time in 2 years and learned to control the Kyubi. Also gain 2 new sharingan because one was crushed the other given to kakashi.

You don't know for sure if the eye under the boulder was crushed, or should I say crushed to the point of it being unusable

Well.. I was only being logical because the whole right side of his body was crushed unless his eyes were made of steel i believe i can inductively assume. Also he would have to obtain a new sharingan, learn to control the kyubi, research when the kyubi seal is weak. Learn about Minato's re precautions around the birth ground and master Space time ninjutsu... I agree kishi throws some crazy stuff but not to this extent.

1. Exactly, it's an assumption, we don't know if it was crushed or not....
2. Like I said before this was Danzou, Obito was still recovering around that time.

Guys I did some more research for my tobi is obito's father theory.

Got some really interesting results.

It turns out, kakashi was 6 years old when obito died, and he is 25-26 years old at the beginning of naruto meaning that obitos death happened 19-20 years before the story starts.

Another thing, naruto is 12-13 at the beginning meaning that the attack on Konoha happened 12-13 years before the story starts.

NOW this means that the attack on konoha happened roughly 7 years after obitos death, obito died at age 13 (remember he was not as skilled as kakashi who became a chunin at age 6 whereas obito became chunin at age 13) now for some this might put obito back into the running for being tobi.

For me however this validates tobi's comment "Do you have any idea how long I have waited for this?" the question he poses to kushina before he takes control of the nine tails.

A father planning the revenge for his sons death for seven years possibly.

My theory is that he was rescued by Zetsu(Who was created by Orochimaru using Nawaki's DNA). Obito "died" in Iwagakure, the exact same place Orochimaru was monitoring Kabuto. Orochimaru was still looking for bodies to experiment on. Zetsu can merge with the earth and travel through it. It's probable that Zetsu retrieved Obito on his deathbed and took him to Orochimaru.

Obito was not 7 years old. he died 7 years before the attack on the village at the age of 13.

Kakshi was chunin at age 6, as he was an exceptionally talented shinobi.

.. I don't think so. Obito graduated at the age 9. They are assigned teams at that time. I think kakashi was 3 years younger on team Minato.
