Advantages
  • This jutsu is quite difficult to evade because the four spikes it creates surrounds the opponent on all sides.
  • This jutsu doesn’t need any handseals in order to be performed, so it’s fast and easy to do.
  • This jutsu could possibly be a good distraction because, while the opponent is trying to avoid the jutsu by escaping upward, the user could send another technique while the opponent is in mid-air.
Disadvantages
  • This jutsu is only short to mid-ranged, so an opponent who is out of range could avoid this justu.
  • If the user isn’t prepared, the opponent could attack the user after they’ve escaped up into the air.
  • While this jutsu surrounds an opponent on all sides, the justu still has one opening: above. An opponent could evade this jutsu by shooting themselves upward.

How would you defend/counter/exploit the jutsu if used on you
Probably with a technique which would shoot the user upwards and away from the spikes. A jutsu I would counter it with would be : Water Release: Water Pillar Thrust.

No questions

Jutsu Performance
I focus chakra throughout my body before applying my Doton affinity to it, thus turning my raw chakra into Doton chakra. Having properly molded my Doton chakra, I release it into the ground and manipulate my chakra to condense the rock and soil around the clone. Then I manipulate my chakra and cause 4 sharp spikes to shoot out from the ground from 4 different directions which aim directly towards the clone .

Alright, your performance was fairly superb. But since B ranks of earth is pretty much the largest section of every element, I will use another style. I will post 5 techniques and explain them in detail. I want you to then rank them according to how you like them. Take many things into consideration, like seals, description, versatility, power, range ect ect...Tell me why you liek the first one most, the second once next. I hope you get it. There is no need to perform them, I know you can do it, and it is not really as important as understanding them. Then you can fill the part with RP'ing. i read your training, you know how to perform everything. Are you ready? LET'S GO!!

(Doton: Iwa Bunshin) - Earth Release: Rock Clone Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates their clone out of stone that he spits from his mouth. Unlike other types of clones the rock clones don’t disappear after being defeated but rather crumble like rubble. These clones can also be used to create a clone of other people than themselves but do not take on the abilities of the copied person. They can use up to C-Rank Earth techniques and are very resistant to physical damage such as that from Taijutsu which they can endure up to B-Rank.

One of the best techniques in general, this technique will allow you to create a clone made out entirely out of rock from your mouth. This clone now can be used in many cases allowing you to gain an advantage in number, or create a diversion when you are in need of one. Just like other clones it can't take more than one hit, but he will not simply vanish, rather crumble apart. Another super useful thing is that you can replicate not only yourself, but the clone can even be molded into another person. If you fighting more than one enemy and you take up the shape and looks of one of the enemies they would for sure be confused. Technique wise, this clone can only used Earth up to C rank, and they can resist Tai up to B rank, which makes them a lot stronger.

(Doton: Iwa no Hogo) - Earth Release: Earth Shelter Technique
Rank: B
Type: Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user surrounds themselves with earth, taken from the immediate vicinity, in order to fabricate a formation of rock that is capable of protecting both the user and others in close proximity, if desired. Doing so, seemingly leaves the surrounding terrain unaltered, even when the quantity of earth used is enough to form a complete dome around multiple individuals as seen when Ittan used this technique. The user can also manipulate the resulting shelter to have openings in it so as to be able to observe outside, as demonstrated when used by Kitsuchi.

This is mostly a defensive technique not only for yourself but even for many friends around you. You will create in the vicinity an armor of earth which seems to come out of nowhere will surround you from all your sides in form of a dome of earth, it will leave the earth seemingly unaltered, but it used enough earth to completely shelter you. As I said, it is perfect for defense in general, but you need to take into consideration the lack of movement, because you are surrounded by your very own attack. another one is the limit in sight, which might be very bad in general. Well, if you wanna consider the trade offs, it is a very nice technique.

(Doton: Iwa Enchou no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Earth Dome Technique
Rank: B
Type: Defensive, Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description:The user slams his hands on the ground and creates a 1/4 dome of earth, which protects them from frontal external attacks. The domes shape is in a similar fashion to wood release: wood locking walls.

Alright, just like the technique above. Unlike it, you will just slam the earth and grown 1/4th a dome of earth which will be coming up from below, right before you. This technique has the same defensive capabilities as the first one, but what is funny is that in a way it is more useful. Yes, you will still limit your sigh before you, but you can still maneuver on the sides as you see hit, and see everything on your sides. It is purely a defensive technique, so not much to say. It entirely depends if you wanna use it.

(Doton: Fukusuu no Dorosandan) - Earth Release: Multiple Mudshot Technique
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage point: 40
Description: This jutsu is basically a widespread version of the Mudshot Technique; allowing the user to fire at multiple targets.

Like the weaker parent technique in C rank, you will use earth and shoot up from your mouth, multiple mud shots. This mud is very sticky and can restrict movements in a way. This mud can even be used with fire allowing them to become a hot semi-lava like substance which can burn the target. The mud shots can reach very far, they can create enough damage to break bones and release themselves right before you. Well, It is a very simple technique. I hope you understand the usages that it has.

(Doton: Dōka Ganseki Sensha) - Earth Release: Assimilated Rock Tank
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After performing Assimilate all creation technique the user will collect from nearby rocks and create the necessary mass to perform the technique, Additionally using the rock powder to make the technique more damaging. Since the resulting Human Ball is made of a much stronger heavier material.
Note: Must use Assimilate all creation technique beforehand.

Do you have assimilation all creation? If you don't just skip this one. This is a technique for Akamichi either way...So I doubt you will ever need to use it. Either way just skip it.

Understood, thanks for taking over.

Okay so I'll go like this :

#1
(Doton: Iwa Bunshin) - Earth Release: Rock Clone Technique
The reason is because I can use this technique in many ways. Firstly as a clone, which is one of the most used techniques in NV. The clone can perform up to C-rank earth techniques and endure up to B-rank Tai attacks. Now for the part I like most; the clones can also be of other people, meaning that it can be very useful in infiltrating the enemy's base.
#2
(Doton: Iwa no Hogo) - Earth Release: Earth Shelter Technique
I ranked this second because of the ability to protect yourself and others from harm. It protects you from all directions . You can also create openings at will to see what's going on around.
#3
(Doton: Fukusuu no Dorosandan) - Earth Release: Multiple Mudshot Technique
Well, it's not that I like this one very much, but I ranked it 3rd because you can shoot at multiple targets at once. Also, as you said, because you can heat the mud with a fire technique and make the attack even more powerful. I also think it's quite fast as a technique.
#4
(Doton: Iwa Enchou no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Earth Dome Technique
I don't like this jutsu at all, thus I ranked it 4th. You basically create a "wall" in front of you, which protects you only from frontal attacks, but, as soon as you create it, you can't see your opponent anymore. He may take advantage at this and might quickly come near the dome and attack you, without you noticing .

Very Good

(Doton: Doro Ookami) - Earth Release: Mud Wolves
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20 (+10 per reformed wolf)
Damage points: 10 damage per wolf attack
Description: A trap technique in which the user will place somewhere and is activated upon contact with the opponent's chakra. The user uses a scroll to lay the trap in which releases mud that forms into the shape of wolves that will attack the enemy target/s. Despite being damaged the wolves can reform which can keep the enemy occupied to allow the enemy make a getaway. (Can only create a maximum of 3 mud wolves)
Note: Takes one turn to set the trap up and wolves only last two turns

A really good trap based technique. You will use it when you set a scroll and it will react when the enemy comes into contact with it, or his chakra. Once used, many wolves will head towards his enemy with great killing intent. These wolves are fairly fast and they can cross quite a distance, but they can't really move that far from the source or they will break up. another good thing is that even when damaged, it would be able to reconstruct, but the damage which is done from a higher ranked technique or total destruction...will be no real help. A good combo usage would be with hidden mist to break their vision, or with any other technique which leaves them close to the source, like blocking their way.

(Doton no Yoroi) - Earth Release Armor
Rank: B
Type: Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20 (-15 per turn to remain active)
Damage points: N/A (+10 to taijutsu moves)
Description: This Technique coats the users body with stones, making them much more resistant to attacks, at the cost of their speed. Whilst using this technique, the user can even change their appearance, but once the technique is either defeated or worn off the users original appearance is shown. The user whilst in this armor is resistant to B rank ninjutsu techniques but is vulnerable to Lightning Techniques.

Not a bad technique at all, not a personal favorite, but not bad. You will cloak your body into rock which will pretty much grow from the outer part of your body. The rocks will give the body insane resilience and more strength...but it will cost speed a lot. Best usage cases are only if you are under an attack of any water technique or any taijutsu technique which you couldn't naturally dodge. But TBH, speed is very important into RP. Giving up on it, would be a fatal mistake in many cases and there are lightning attacks which could be a very, very big problem.

(Doton: Domu) – Earth Release: Earth Spear Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A (+10 to physical attacks)
Description: After performing the Snake hand seal the user will channel their chakra throughout their entire body, which then hardens their skin to a steel-like quality. This increases their defensive power to the utmost limits. The user’s skin also becomes much darker, an almost black colour. The destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great, all purpose technique. But this technique when activated leaves the user vulnerable to lightning based techniques.
Note: Kakuzu bios can use this technique without the need for handseals

One personal favorite. Maybe because Kakuzu uses it, and NK has a Kakuzu bio...Maybe because of versatility...But this technique is essentially like the one above, without giving up one thing. You will make one handseal and your body will start changing color to a very dark brown. Now your body will be super tough and resilient. Your body will be insanely tough physically, and very resilient, you will also lose no speed at all. the only trade is one handseal which is no real problem since it is almost instant.

(Doton: Iwa Keiro) – Earth Style: Rock Trail
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user slams their hands on the ground and giant rocks rise up and jag the opponent from underneath.

A very basic and very vague all in all. It goes like this, you will basically slam your hands in the ground and rock will rise in form of sharp pillars and jag the enemy. I can't say much about it TBH. It is very basic, very quick, and quite dangerous if used right. Best use cases are when enemy is about to land into a location after falling, so that he won't sense vibrations.

(Doton: Nentsuchi Otoshi) – Earth Release: Sticky Earth Drop
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user does 2 handseals (Ram → Snake) and creates an opening within the sky, which drips down onto the opponent a large amount of sticky mud (in all similar to that of Swamp of the Underworld Technique), covering them. The mud is very heavy and thick as well as adhesive, making it impossible to move if caught and easily crushing an enemy underneath. It’s normally followed up by Lightning release: sixteen pillar bind to create a giant oven around the opponent and then using Fire release: Firing biscuit technique to ignite the oven, hardening the mud and immobilizing the enemy target.

Not a bad technique and it involves one of the pet peeves in RP. You will make 2 handseals and above your enemy, a portal will open. Now from this portal, mud will come out. But this is a very special mud. This mud is insanely sticky and heavy, so it doesn't allow the enemy to move. And if you ignore it right after you attacked it to your enemy, it can turn into a semi-lava and burn every part of his body.

#1
(Doton no Yoroi) - Earth Release Armor
Ok so I consider this both a defensive and supplementary technique, since it's able to protect and give you a +10 to all your Tai moves. Even though you speed decreases, it is still very useful.
#2
(Doton: Domu) – Earth Release: Earth Spear Technique
Well, I would have ranked both this and the other technique above as #1, but since I have to rank them by order, I ranked this #2. Same reason as above applies to this one too.
#3
(Doton: Iwa Keiro) – Earth Style: Rock Trail
This technique can be quite surprising sometimes. Supposing the opponent in in mid air and is landing, there's probably nothing he can do if you release this technique.
#4
(Doton: Nentsuchi Otoshi) – Earth Release: Sticky Earth Drop
Well, this technique can be useful and unexpected somehow, but considering it is mud, it will give the opponent enough time to react and get out of there before the sticky mud lands.
#5
(Doton: Doro Ookami) - Earth Release: Mud Wolves
You don't know if the opponent will ever activate the trap or not. This technique is like placing a bet, knowing that you may also "loose". The opponent may also be able to notice that and play along with you, using it as your disadvantage.

Not bad, you got the basics from everything. But I would like a little more explanation :).

(Doton: Otoshibuta) – Earth Release: Dropping Lid
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: After doing the Snake handseal and slamming his hands on the ground, he user creates a portal above the target, high in the sky from which a giant, boar-shaped, earthen lid drops and falls on the target, trapping it underneath. The lid can be hollow or solid, depending on if the user wants to deal damage to the enemy or not. Because of its size, to safely used, the lid has to be created at least mid range from the user otherwise he will also be caught inside. The biggest lid can dwarf a boss summon like Nagato's Dog or Gamabunta.

This technique is fairly nice. You will make one handseal and slam your hands into the ground. Now, from above your target, you will create a giant portal, from wind a large boar shaped lid, would drop. This lid, will fall over it's target and trap him inside as it is hollow. You could very well trap many enemies or even summons, similar to how it could even be able to stop Gamabunta. You can deduce it fairly easy in a sunny day because of the terrain, and I would mainly be careful, because of the shadow, and you can use it either to trap movements, or the opponents vision.

(Doton Kage Bunshin) – Earth Release Shadow Clone
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique creates a clone made of mud. Since its made of mud, it can continue to reform and mold itself back to its original shape even after taking physical damage (up to C-Rank). An unique use is that after reverting to mud, it can hold the opponent in place as a binding technique. They can also use up to C rank earth techniques.

Very generic stone technique, and it funny how similar it is to the rock clone. It is a clone made our of mud, which can reform itself to the original shape if it takes damage up to C-Ranks. Another one is that it can revert to mud again when touching the enemy, to stop him entirely. It has almost every positive effect of the clones, using up to C rank earth, resilient and very informative in battle...but I would be careful when using.

(Doton: Musaborudzuchi) – Earth Release: Devouring Earth
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user performs the Ram → Horse → Tiger → Rabbit → Snake and slams their palm on the ground. Instantly, the ground to the sides of the opponent take the shape of huge jaws and attempt to crush and stab him between them. The size of the jaws can be adjusted to fit the size of the opponent or other uses.

This technique is not bad either. You will perform 5 handseals and slam your hands into the ground. Now, from the sides of the location of your enemy, you will rise up jaw like structures, with teeth as well, which can not only crush your enemy, but even stab him beforehand to keep him pinned down. It would help you a lot, when trapping someone, or if you charge lightning in the rock, it can even paralyze him fairly nicely.

(Doton: Tsuchi Kairō) - Earth Release: Earth Corridor
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will first perform the snake hand seal and then cause the earth in the surrounding area to rise up and over a target and create a cavern, imprisoning the target. The user can leave an opening to allow attacks to go in to strike down the trapped adversaries, or close it up completely to prevent escape.

This technique begins with making the snake handseal and have the earth rise up from all around the enemy. The earth will rise up in a very special way, trapping the enemy inside, and forming into a ,what is now, earth corridor. It can totally take away the focus and direction of your enemy, and maybe lead him into a trap. Used into conjunction with another earth tech, you can even make it crumble under your enemy.
