I don't see why he would bring in some unknown character. No drama or plot in that.
As much as I hate to say it.... I think that is the most possible outcome.

I still doubt it.

I really hope It's Izuna Uchiha but Obito is the most obvious answer...

Ok, I know that there are multiple threads about this but, I have some evidense that has not been posted!!!
First of all, as you all may know, Manga chapters are always released in various versions. I mean, in NarutoBase, chapter 597, page 12 :

Look at the las picture!!! Kakashi says "you..."
In this page, It almost means nothing.
However, on the webpage:

this same page has another meaning:

Kakashi says "you are..."
this definitely implies that Kakashi knows that Tobi IS Obito, even though I would like him to be Izuna Uchiha...
now, the next page, Tobi interrupts kakashi by telling him that he (kakashi) is only words. This could mean the promise of taking care of Rin.

My "opinio" is that what kakashi said could have meant anything....kakashi might know who tobi is but that doesnt mean he thinks its obito....

There is a difference, and you made a good catch. However, Tobi cannot be Obito. There is irrefutable evidence to the contrary.

also when tobi stated that kakashi has "Degraded" means he must've thought highly of kakashi at some point, until he began to think kakashi's promises were invalid after the death of Rin, the one he loved. He was still alive under that rock and was able to see kakashi's life whenever the sharingan was used. At the sight of Rin's death, that is when he awakend his eyes, and that is when he became able to phase through objects, he then saw the world as nothing left with no hope and became bitter...somehow he was able to restore himself through unknown means with the strange substance that zetsu was made of.

It does actually, if you put it together. Madara and Tobi planned the Moons Eye Plan together. Tobi said he implanted the Rinnegan into Nagato. Madara is the only character who's Rinnegan Tobi could have implanted.

Thus, the chain of events goes as such:

1. Madara unlocks the Rinnegan and dies shortly after.

2. Tobi takes Madara's Rinnegan and implants it into Nagato.

3. Madara would have known this, because that was the plan from the start.

Basically what this proves is that Tobi knew and worked with Madara. And what that also proves is that Obito CANNOT be Tobi, because he wasn't born in a time when he could have done that.

I think this makes it kind of obvious that Madara and Tobi worked together. Now are you convinced that I am right? Tobi is 100% not Obito.

If Oro was involved, he wouldn't have said that he didn't care about the war. And his goals are clearly different than Tobi's so they're definitely not working together on the Moons Eye Plan.

He doesn't care about the moons we plan he just wants sasuke. It's just a way for everyone to get what they want but Terence is evidence of them working together. For instance oro and kabuto obviously had possession of the body of madara because they modified it. Also how do you think nagato could get a rinnegan for all of his sage of 6 path bodies? They don't just magically appear. I believe oro has his finger prints all over this
