Why Tobi can't be Obito
Tobi will never be Obito... Why? Here is my theory:
1. Tobi is too old to be Obito, he is the same age as Kakashi during the Kyuubi attack and was dead already during that time. Indications in his eyes and body show that he is old similar to danzo but much older, His knowledge of diff jutsus and infinite tsukuyomi require a lot of time to learn.
2. A lot of shinobi would have notice if he was otherwise. Note that he has disguised himself as Uchiha Madara and a lot of Shinobi's believed him notably-
-Kisame Hoshigaki, whom he also showed his face.
- Uchiha Itachi believed him to be Madara even contemplating on the threat he poses. Itachi is a genius and is not to be fooled easily, he would have easily notice if tobi was somebody else other than being madara.
-Minato would have recognized Obito in their fight.
-Nagato and Konan
3. How could Obito have gained the knowledge nor the power to control the Kyuubi, master the mangekyou, control Yagura the mizukage at such a short span of time. when we all saw that Obito was a weak shinobi in the Kakashi Gaiden. In his character profi
4. Obito has no motive.
5. Obito was crushed by a huge boulder.. who survives that?
My conclusion:
> Tobi as he had stated in Naruto 597, took the eyes of Obito. Tobi has always been on the lookout for Sharingan eyes, hell he has amassed a huge collection of them in his hideout.
> He prefers powerful Sharingan eyes as indicated for his want to collect Uchiha Shisui's eye which was possessed by Danzo at that time. Collecting Obito's eyes must have been a treasure find as shown in his constant use of its powers and the fact that he has never sacrificed them when he performs Izanagi ( a jutsu he has used twice - 1st when sasuke used amaterasu on him and 2nd during his fight with Konan)
> Tobi has to be a real Uchiha, to be able to use all those eyes constantly and at such power. His knowledge of Uchiha secrets and Madara.
> My guess- He is Uchiha Izuna, he has intimate knowledge of Madara. His similarities with madara makes it a foolproof way for him to disguise as his brother without others like kisame and itachi ever noticing the difference.
