Yup awaken the ability to use it. But it up to the user to master it. Like i said earlier, MS is just like a short cut. MS basically just open the gate to Susanno. Once the gate is open, you can learn how to open the gate without MS. Madara is living proof of that.

Are we taking about the same manga where itachi clearly stated that the MS awaken the ability to use Susanno? I will take Itachi's words over an emo boy who don't know how to use his power to the full potential.

It's actually neither. It's not a regular as it has 6 Tomoes with two rings. It's not a Rinne-Sharngan, as it lack the last ring of three more Tomoes. It's actually a lot close to Rinne-Sharingan because of these factors, as it's only one ring short. The fact that it isn't a regular Rinnegan is also shown by Sasuke's S/T technique, something Madara doesn't have, despite possessing Rinne-Sharingan. It's the same as Kaguya's dimensional shifts.

The only difference is that Sasuke has no where near the chakra Kaguya possesses. and the dimensional shifts are costly for her as well. Sasuke can shift them too, if they are near, as he did with the Jacket. His Rinnegan is also far superior to Madara's. He can also cast a very powerful Genjutsu with that same eye. So no, I won't agree that it's Rinnegan, but I would agree with anyone who would say that it is closer to Rinne-Sharingan.

Manga and databook made it clear that Sasuke's ''eye'' is a Rinnegan. It's coloured purple, it has 6 tomoes. Rinne Sharingan is coloured red, it has 9 tomoes. That is the difference between them. Also, a reference to the combined abilities of Sharingan and Rinnegan, that is a natural ability for a Rinnegan user to access to his/her Sharingan powers as well: Madara showed to use his Sharingan and Rinnegan together via Tengai Shensei. But back to topic, Sasuke's eye is a Rinnegan...
