It's a rinnegan, he's able to use his EMS technique through his rinnegan.

It's the same eye that itachi planted Amatersu into as well.

Madara used his EMS during the battle against Hashirama, leaving him with one eye.

His original ms that he implanted became the rinnegan before giving it off to Nagato.

Sasuke still had his brothers eyes, so in short:

Sasuke+Itachi+senju cells= one eye rinnegan

Madara+senju cells= two rinnegans

Yep, like a lot of stuff in Naruto. But we should always go by the later feats and "facts". Because otherwise Madara would be a hacker, Hiruzen would be above Hashiramas level and the basic Sharingan would actually mean something.

at the end of the day, Susanoo is made of the user's chakra. It makes sense to use it without the eyes once you fully understand how it work.

I believe so. Madara even use part of Susanoo to block the 2nd hokage's water jutsu attack with just the rinnegan. Rules are made to bend.

Then we got shisui uchiha who can cast a genjutsu without looking directly into the eyes. It spiritual chakra that is needed to use genjutsu. So in a way, Shisui probably have very good Chakra manipulation to cast a genjutsu without a direct contact.

If you have high Chakra manipulation, you can use a lot of ninjutsu without weaving signs.

i think he can in the future. But then again it is a MS ability, so most likely not. But Susanoo... MS awaken the ability to use Susanoo, the rest is up to the user. But most of these jutsu(s) have a source of chakra. It really come down to manipulation. This is probably why Kakashi was able to use Susanno so flawlessly. He got some serious chakra manipulation skills. 3rd hokage can use all elements like an Avatar.

Yup awaken the ability to use it. But it up to the user to master it. Like i said earlier, MS is just like a short cut. MS basically just open the gate to Susanno. Once the gate is open, you can learn how to open the gate without MS. Madara is living proof of that.
