So Naruto is just blatantly ripping off Star Wars?

Believe it or not but it's actually really hard to be completely original with fantasy. Sure the genre means you can make up any shit you want, but it still usually needs to follow a basic structure. Of course bad guys will resemble other bad guys. It's just a general archetype that is used to make sure we all know who the evil guy is.

Does anyone else think Eragon takes a lot from the Lord of the rings? When I was reading Dragon I felt like it was pretty poor. I still read every book for some reason though.

I mean, you already had the Obito/Darth Vader connections, and Madara mirrors the Emperor, but now they even mention the dark side? Wow, just, wow, Kishi, oh well, I LOVE STAR WARS ANYWAYS!!!!!

Yes but Obito(darth vader) ain't taking out Madara(darth Sidious) that Naruto and Sasuke's job(Luke and lea).

Please stop making it sound like George Lucas invented the fallen hero and dark side archetypes. He didn't. They were renowned and popular themes of both eastern and western fiction long before he was born. And if you really want to get literal, many believe Star Wars rips off Lord of the Rings.

How does Madara compare to the emperor? The Yin lightning? Kakashi has shot chidori from his hand since the very first arc of the series. Manipulation? Central antagonists in fiction are renowned for being manipulative.

Lastly, there is a difference between ripping something off and being inspired by it.
GEORGE LUCAS IS A GOD (prequels, what prequels?)
