Its a very old story line that has been used many times, Star Wars is just one of the more famous users of the story line, but there are many stories that use the same story line.

Actually in truth every type of story has already been told, every new book, movie, TV show, comic, or manga (or any other form of story telling) is just the same old story being told in a new way.

For example, look at the Matrix, humanity is nearly destroyed by machines gone rogue, the same story is used in the Terminator, I Robot, and about a gazillion other stories.

Then their is the Last Samurai story line, also used in Avatar, Ferngully, Pocahantus, Dances with Wolves, and a thousand other stories.

Then their is the super hero story line, every super hero movie and comic is the same story just told a little differently, the hero gets his power and beats up a bad guy that also has powers.
