well some people bash sasuke for what he is doing but prise nagato for what he did..

burned the families and those related to salamandra hanzo, childresn, familie,friends etc.. just because he is so mighty. Nuked konoha and people still believe that at least that guy had a purposed..

I think most people dont know what the effects of the uchiha coup wld have been:
1. Uchiha were a lot in number,(they had a whole district to themselves) and their fighting talents were unparalleled.
2. Uchiha wld need to kill many of the shinobi forces of konoha to make the coup a sucess. And itachi alone can take on opponents equaling his total clan members. So imagine the body count .....
3. Many innocent civilian might have died due to cross fire or their livelihood destroyed.
4. To stop other clans from rising against them, uchiha wld have to take the clan leaders or their children hostage or kill them.
5. After the coup there wld be ppl who disagrees, who wld be need to be killed or imprisoned.
6. Hizune wld have to be killed.
7. THIS IS MOST DEADLY: Due to civil unrest and the weakened millitary forces, konoha wld be open for attack by other countries, who are always just waiting for a chance for a attack. This would mean destruction of konoha and annexation of land of fire. Imagine how many people wld be killed.

U can say the Uchiha was treated bad ..... but only The Council and Danzo viewed them with suspision (Cos Madara Uchia the LEADER of the Uchiha clan attacked Hashi), but the civilians always respected them (Was sasuke in anyway insulted? in Academy? in the streets?) And Hizune formed the Konoha Police Force only for the Uchiha and effectively gave them Konoha law and order in their hands and still offered more peace terms (Read itachis background in Narutopedia). But no, it wasnt enough for them. So the Council decided to eliminate every Uchiha (If one Sasuke can do this, imagine what other survivors wld do plus they can always sell the konoha secrets to other countries) to permanently resolve this problem (A terrible dicision). But Itachi understood and agreeed to take the path that wld save more lives, rather than to be a victim of his pride.

so now the question would u avenge the ur parents killed by the Goverment as they were in the Mafia and planning to take over a city with a bloody coup?

PS I m not saying sasuke cant kill the the elders and the root, they deserve punishment. But his self righteousness is ridiculous and wanting to kill ALL the konoha madness.

Lives were going to be lost anyway so they made the decision that best protected the village

Ok. I know the story. Kind of. Point is that in the series the village is the cause of military action, therefore they form part of the system. Point is they are not that innocent because of the way they not only support but are dependant on a military force. If I am wrong in some points, feel free to point them out. FYI those ¨innocent people¨ were part of the reason why the massacre took place.

I didnt compare the uchiha with mafia, i just stated that wld u try to AVENGE ur criminal family and become a criminal too?

Also note that, does being incharge of the law and order of a village takes away ur 'freedom'? Uchiha was being spied by only Danzo and ROOT (which is a shadow organisation villagers dont even know about) and its not spying if one knows about it. Uchiha had every freedom except the trust from the council, (Or how the hell Itachi or Shisui became a ANBU?). Also being spied wldnt count as none wld know the uchiha was being spied upon.
