This post marks the beginning of my mission:
• Defend yourself from multiple waves of zombies (S-Rank, 5)
Summary: Noelle returns in physical form to the Ruins to fight off some of the zombies but has an unexpected encounter. Passing the walls of that had crumbled many years ago; Noelle finally arrived back towards the designated battle zone; with Es tagging along shivering at the sight of this place. It was traumatic even for a spirit. She was only a child, but she needed to grow up eventually or else she would find herself being nothing more than dead weight to her partner. As the continued to transverse to what was once the city – they appeared before the monastery, with the hordes of walking flesh gaining awareness of Noelle. They would slowly begin to approach her, to which she inhales and exhales – as she controlled the swords that rotated around her like moons around a planet – as the one zombie lunged from behind one of the six sword would launch directly at it as it impales the demon in the head.
Another from in front would be struck down, as one by one they came and fell. She withdrew the swords from their bodies, as they were defeated – she turns to her right to see even more zombies begin to pile up from the original six to which she sighed. It was twelve this time, but instead of manifesting her swords again would raise her hands out to her sides. “O’Burn, Wrath of Hasmed…” she said as she kneaded her chakra as a large wave begins to conjure it. At a last second, just before the twelve attack her she would release the wave as it towards over her and the zombies as it crashed down onto them. It almost immediately started to eat away at the rotten flesh.
“Now then…” she said but noticed two more zombies approaching. Noelle summoned back six of her blades but was shocked to see the corpses….it was all too familiar. Eyes widened, she ran away alongside Es. She didn’t look back, but her eyes become swelled as tears began to form. She ran towards the library, shutting the door behind her as she slumps to the ground. “No…not mama and papa too…” she said. It was the walking dead of her parents who died in the razing several years ago. To see them in such a state…it bothered her to the core, as she felt the anger, confusion , sadness and so many emotions begin to overwhelm her. This moment of silence was disturbed by a large banging on the door behind her.
Es and her got up, as the zombies burst through the door – but was meet with her swords. She kept spawning more and more, but kept deliberately missing her parent. Es, who is usually silent spoke out against these actions. “You…need to do it! If you don’t, you’ll end up just like them.” she said – with Noelle finally gaining the courage to finally put her zombified parents to death with one sword each to the head. The bitterness in her mouth, it was awful…she didn’t kill her parents yet she felt like she did…Noelle simply moved the corpses outside before setting them on fire.
Once she realized where she was, she started to wonder the halls of the library, unaware of something lurking in the shadows…
Jutsu used on mission
(Seraphumizuton: Bōsei no Hasmed; Shizuka Shōkyo)- Seraphic Water: Tyranny of Hasmed; Silent Erasure
Type: Defensive/Offensive
Rank: A
Range: Short-Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage: 60
Description: Drawing inspiration from the Angel of Annihilation, Hasmed, Shizuka Shōkyo could easily be mistaken as a simple technique at first glance. It begins by the user holding out his hands, either in front or by his sides and focusing chakra into the short ranged surrounding area to create a sudden wave of Seraphic Water that can either originate from one direction or all in an omnidirectional wave. This wave towers high above the average human at about 10 feet in height, and quickly begins to cascade in its intended direction. Due to the element being a dense one, and extremely heavy at times, the wave creates a very peculiar rumbling sound as it rolls across the ground (or even a water source. Despite brine being significantly denser, it doesn't readily meld with fresh water) similar to waves rolling in on a beach and packs enough punch to crush most in its way while causing the earth to tremble from its weight. Despite all this it still manages to travel at the speed of an Unofficial Sage and can be loud enough drown out most other minor sounds like speech, footsteps, etc. By taking into account two very unique properties of SW, the element is able to absorb certain frequencies of sound, with low frequency waves falling prey faster than the rest. Because of this the wave will rumble loudly during its nascence (while it is still within short ranged of the user), and then as the sound is absorbed it will gradually be reduced to a low shuffling sound as it passes short and reaches into mid ranged. By the time it reaches long ranged the wave is almost a whisper as its sounds are being absorbed almost as fast as its being produced. Then, calling upon the second unique property, the acoustic energy absorbed is readily converted to thermal energy which turns the wave extremely hot as it progresses. While it is short ranged it would be slightly warmer than regular water, at mid ranged it becomes even warmer, reaching nearly boiling point degrees for regular water (100o C) and then by the time it reaches long ranged that value would have near doubled, which allows it to become scalding hot--so much so that it can eradicate entire forests and peel flesh from bone in instants--all while being dead silent in its travel. The ground will still tremble though, which can serve as its warning sign. A true show of annihilation carried out by Hasmed himself.
Note(s):
- Usage limit of three times (3) and a two (2) turn cool down between uses
(Fuuinjutsu: Fantomu ken o hauringu) - Sealing Technique: Howling Phantom Swords
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supplemental
Rank: A Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 30 (-10 per weapon)
Damage: 60
Description: The user after placing a unique version of the lightning blade creation seal on his body. Will perform two handseals before clapping his hands. Activating a powerful sealing jutsu on his body that allows him to summon a grand armory of weapons from his body at any point. Once activated the sealing technique remains able to summon and replace destroyed weapons from the users body. The weapons summoned can be hugely varied basic weapons of the users choice and when summoned will hover around his body within a 5 meter radius being controlled by his hand gestures in a similar fashion to the floating ninja tools jutsu. These weapons carry a static damage property of D rank damage each and the user is capable of having up to six weapons summoned at any one time. If destroyed another weapon can be summoned in it's place, upon summoning the weapons initially appear somewhat ethereal before forming completely, while this is only momentary it prevents the weapons just popping up in mid air with no forewarning. Essentially this jutsu gives the user a unique ability to have weapons readily available to him at any point. This jutsu is the cornerstone of the phantom swords techniques. These weapons are formed from raw chakra focused in a similar fashion to the rasengan making them capable of competing with elemental jutsu equally when released they are raw chakra which the user focuses causing the slight delay.
Notes:
-Once activated remains active until the battle ends-
-Summoning additional swords costs a move slot, but the user can summon between 1-6 swords for a single move slot depending on his needs-
-Must be mentioned in the users biography-
-Each individual blade is capable of taking D rank damage before breaking.
-Can only be taught by ReXii-
After picking his way back to the library for more information Sigurd could feel the presence of something else inside, thanks to his barrier. He wasn't sure if it was Dead One so he went on his defensive as he entered it. As expected, it was eerily quiet in there and the now familiar smell of old books wafted up his nostrils. Still, he felt a presence over at the edges of the place. He inched closer.

Noelle whom was on the floor of the room was silent, looking into the darkness of the room – but she sensed a spiritual energy coming near her. How he found her wasn’t known but she didn’t mind. It wasn’t a zombie – as they all lacked a soul and at the words of the “Hello?” Noelle rose to her feet. “Oh…and here I thought I was the only one alive here.” she said as she looked away sheepishly. Es would float around the man, investigating him for any sort of misleading detail.
Noelle was ready to attack if he had any malicious intention but tried to remain composed. “Another looter? A robber? What’s your intentions here Mr?” she asked.

Sigurd chuckled. "So there are survivors left here after all. Are you from Chungsu? Could you tell me what triggered the dead to start walking again? I'm researching the tragedy of this landmark and answers have not been easy."
As he spoke his rat scurried up a table to where he was reading a few books the night before and dragged it toward where he stood. He stooped and picked up the giant book. "As for my intentions, I have none really. Unless, if the thirst for answers counts as an intention."

”KYAH!” screamed the Genki at the sight of the rat as she blitzed through the man, and rushed back to Noelle’s side. Her phasing would cause him to get a cold shoulder, a side of affect for the spirit draining some of his chakra as she passes through him by accident. Noelle laughed under her breath, Es truly was a child at heart. As for the questions, she would answer him fully. “I’m afraid not, I come from the eastern continent but I did reside here for some years. The cause of this? Check the monastery to get your answer by those creeps in there. And well…you never know what the intentions of a person are from first glance. ” she said looking out the window, seeing the hordes of zombies roaming the lands. She however sensed another spiritual presences in the building…it was stalking her it seems. There was no genki in sight minus Es…so other humans? She couldn’t help but want to check this out but she was no occupied with the man.

Sigurd was suddenly overcome with cold sweat as an unbearable dread permeated his body. Then, as soon as it was gone he paused and stared at the girl before him.
"I don't know what you just did, but it was unpleasant and unwelcome. Please, do not let it happen again. I am only here for knowledge." He stressed the last sentence as if speaking to a child.
Regaining composure he flipped through a few pages of the book before responding to her. "Yes, I have seen the monastery and what's happening inside. I need to know when this all started, and what caused it." At that he closed the book abruptly and watched as dust swirled around it. Have you any information on the Dead Ones themselves? What have you observed so far?"
Entering deep into the chamber, Kazumi felt a little bit easier to breath as she descended the only steps she saw, tombs of Lords and famous Generals. She was getting an ominous feeling as with each step she went deeper into the catacombs under the monastary. It was after a short walk she could see the glow from the chamber beyond the hallway. Edging along the wall creeping closer and closer, Kazumi peaked her head to catch a glimpse into the room. It was a curious sight to behold, its awe filling her with dread just looking at it. There were four.... creatures of some kind, hooded and cloaked behind a barrier, channelling their chakra into a tomb of someone. She couldn't make out the markings on the sarcophagus but she recognised one symbol, the 3 tomoe of the sharingan. Surely, not a good sign. Breaking back, she pulled out her pen once more and scribbled down several notes and pictures, careful not to let her pen make much noise. Breathing heavily she heard a familiar scraping of sound as something was creeping closer, and closer...... and closer.
The soft 'tink' as Kazumi lifted her head to look in the door way to see a zombie staring down at her as she froze with her pen and book. she didn't know what to do, her eyes darting back and forth between the hallway, the zombie and the chamber behind it, then suddenly it let out a sickening guttural cry as it raised its twin axes, aiming to bring them down onto Kazumi. She rolled out the way, swinging her fist as she did taking out its legs and scrambling to avoid being hit. Accidentally dropping her pen, deciding to leave it, and best leave the situation now. Clambering to her feet, Kazumi ran down the hallway, the zombie surprising shuffling faster than she expected, having been held together by chakra Kazumi thought, she got to the entrance hallway as the two zombie guards turned around to see Kazumi sprinting towards them. With a swift jump onto the wall, she managed to push off and hop over their heads quickly, despite their cry's of hunger as they swiped at her feet as she passed, barely missing. Kazumi sprinted out the monastery, as her appearance in the main street of the ruins turned many heads as they all started to shuffle towards her, drawing their weapons and reaching out. Looking for a quick exit and needed to get out of here, Kazumi decided that over the roof tops would be the quickest and easiest way to get out. While they may be slow dumb and strong, they weren't so nimble they she could avoid them by taking the high roads. Climbing to the roof of the monastery, she hopped fast as she could, book in one hand carefully contained with her notes on the necromancers, the barrier, and the zombies as she ran as fast as she could to the edge of the ruins. Each time she hopped from one roof to the next, a few tiles fell, creating more noise and more attention as more zombies joined the pack that was following her escape.
Finally Kazumi made it to the edge of the ruins, the pack of zombies falling off behind her as she did, heading back to their positions, seemingly more concerned about guarding the ruins than chasing her. Climbing back into a near by tree, hidden from sight, Kazumi took a deep breath, calming herself and meditating to clear her mind. While the huge fear she had while in the tomb was gone, there was still an unease and dread while those creatures performed their task. Only time would tell what they were doing.

"Huh? What do you mean?" she said about his question. It wasn’t her, it was Es after all but she won’t reveal her presence to a stranger for the time being. However she continued to monitor the movement of the spiritual forces above her. She then nodded her head side to side, as she herself was clueless about the zombies. I’m as in the dark as you, I came here out of curiosity and to purge these undead bastards based on rumors that spilled through the land.” she said truthfully.

Sigurd contemplated if he should share his data with this girl. She might not trust him, but neither did he her. Plus, she had no info to offer in return. He'd be a strategic disadvantage... But this might help him further understand the tragedy.
He chose his words wisely. "I'm not entirely in the dark. For the past day I've been around this is and almost twice and made it a point of duty to record all I could. In this little scroll is a surplus of data that could prove useful." He displayed the item between his index and thumb. "If you wish to partake of this knowledge you may, but I need something in return. Something that can help me better understand what's happening here."

Explore the ancient Ruins of Chungsu. (B-Rank, 3)
Summary: Having learned about the situation from a drunk in a dive bar in Keishi, Shayde arrives back in Chungsu to investigate the rumors of dead walking the streets. As his discoveries revolving the reanimated fallen of the Razing grow, so too does his emotional state slowly degrade after being faced with the harsh reality of his past.
It had been years since Shayde last laid eyes on his former home city of Chungsu, and yet, despite the state he left it in, it was somehow objectively worse, even from a distance. The walls were almost nonexistent at this point, providing no defensive benefit whatsoever. What remained of the buildings were but scraps and tattered carcasses at this point, picked clean by the marching of time, and the grubby hands of those who had no qualms when it came to raiding and picking at the remains of peoples lives. But the sight that awaited Shayde as he arrived at the outskirts of the Ruins of Chungsu was more horrifying that he could have imagined. There were no raiders preparing to reel in another haul from the ruins. No refugees pleading, begging for help in these most desperate of times. No former guards of the city, struggling to do what they could to keep the peace, and assure everyone things would be okay. What lay before Shayde was a far cry from that distant memory in the wake of but a simple tragedy...
Pulses of black and white energy, emanating from somewhere deep within the Ruined City, filled the atmosphere with a dark and heavy, almost eerie vibe. This was not helped by the overwhelming stench of rotten flesh that had become much more pungent since the Razing, while a thick misty-fog gave the Ruined City a dank, humid feel that was almost too much to warrant any attempt at entry... Almost... Distant mutterings soon swelled into fanatical chanting as the dead, plain as day, were back to life, just like the drunkard said they were. They were engaged in some form of prayer, their chanting all directed towards the apparent source of the energy as they aimlessly wandered the streets, the exact source of the energy being beyond Shayde, but it was off in the direction of the more "cultural" section of the city from what he could recall of Chungsu's old layout. "Old" being the operative word, as the Nine Tailed Fox up-heaved the entire city during it's attack. For all Shayde knew, the source of that energy could have been from the bakery that once resided near the gates, and invited new visitors with the scent of piping loaves fresh from the oven, or the adult book store he never snuck into when he was a child, to see what passed for "novels" for the older generation. Frankly, he was disappointed, as the only books they carried, the "Make Out" series, was pretty lackluster... Back to the task at hand however, the sheer number of walking dead was going to make it difficult to get close without being seen, or heard, and thus causing a commotion. Being seen wasn't much of an issue, since most, if not all, were engaged in their chanting, using a dialect Shayde could neither understand, nor ever comprehend. Well, perhaps he would if he were to be turned, but that wasn't an option. Thinking about how best to approach, Shayde reasoned to not be seen was best, but he didn't have anything in his immediate arsenal that screamed stealth. There was one that may have fit the bill, one he recently acquired from a mysterious gentleman, that utilized Sound Chakra to allow one to pass through just about anything, bu vibrating at a similar frequency as the target in question. But as Shayde watched yet more dead pull themselves out of the rubble, he realized how poor a tactic that was. All he had to do was wander through the wrong pile of rubble, or walk into the wrong neighborhood, and it was all over. The chances of tripping over, or stumbling into a group of corpses was too high to go in as blind as a bat without access to Sound Ninjutsu. Best to stick to what was safe, or what he knew would help him get through undetected... To this end, he started gathering Sound Release Chakra all the same, though not to allow his body to pass through matter, but to simply increase his capacity for hearing and processing sounds.
(Ototon: Naiteki Ne no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Inner Sonar Skill
Rank: D-Rank Type: Supplementary Range: Short-Long Chakra: 10 (-1 per turn) Damage: N/A Description: The user will enhance their hearing by infusing his ears with Sound Chakra. Then, by utilizing Chakra and enfacing his lungs, the user will be able to control the frequency and intensity of the sound emitted from his simple breathing. This low frequency, inaudible sound is passively emitted and has no effect other than emerging from him and bouncing off of objects. Using the enhanced hearing, the user is able to know where everything is around them, effectively creating a sonar effect through the rebound and reflection of sound waves. The hearing and the sonar effect is precise enough so that one can effectively use it to substitute one's vision in battle if needed. Despite being very effective, specially if the user has any of his other senses hindered, it also leaves the user vulnerable to sound Genjutsu or sound attacks which will be much more drastic in its effects.
Note: Lasts 6 turns.
As he infused his ears with Sound Chakra, he slowly started to paint a picture of the surroundings by adjusting the frequency of his breathing. Pretty soon almost the entirety of Chungsu could be visually discerned, at least with a rudimentary imaging, however it suited Shayde's needs perfectly. This way he didn't need to constantly look over his shoulder and ensure he had alerted zombie to his presence. He could simply take his time, and dart and weave through the city until he got to the source of this horrid, vile act. From his vantage point hidden behind some rubble on the outskirts of the Village, just outside the walls, he waited for an opening in the zombies' line of sight, and the second one was given, he took it, using a lifetime of running to good use, effortlessly slinking his way in to the haunted city. His eyes constantly closed, utilizing a sight beyond his own eyes, which was an odd sensation, even if it was one he had experienced before, Shayde repeated this process countless times, using his sonar-like sense of sight to avoid detection as he drew nearer to his first target...
As he ensured the coast was clear, he opened his eyes, and stared down at the remains of a simple ruin in one of the less affluent areas of Chungsu. He wanted to dig through the rubble, just to make sure, but he already had his answer. He had known it all along, even before he committed to entering a literal hellscape... There was nothing to be found here. Naturally, the house had been scavenged of all that was left, but that wasn't what had gotten to him. There was nothing here. Nobody. As macabre as it was, Shayde hoped beyond hope, from the second he had heard the dead had been raised within Chungsu, that he'd get a definitive answer. A corpse, walking or otherwise, so he could put the whole event behind him, and yet, despite expecting less than nothing, he was still left hollow. Disappointed... Where he should have felt relief, that his parents weren't suffering as horrid a fate as being reanimated to only experience death once again, inevitably, there was only a pit of sorrow in which he had been drowning for the past seven years... As he closed his eyes, and a single tear found the courage to barrel down his face, the sad scene as rudely interrupted by sounds of gargled chanting. In his selfish request to have but one moment to himself, he had been discovered, and yet, he was in no mood to entertain even a single trespasser on his former household. In an instant, he disappeared from sight, appearing behind the unfortunate corpse, before seeing the Uchiha eye-to-eye, as it's neck had been rotated 180 degrees, giving it a swift, silent, painless death, the same which could not be guaranteed for the next intruder on Shayde's privacy... Taking a few more moments to grieve, Shayde soon left the burnt, crushed home, and returned to his patient, cautious approach, slowly making his way through the Ruins. The closer he got to the source of the energy, the worse things became, as the hoards grew not only more frequent, but greater in scale, making traversal almost impossible without detection after a certain point.
One structure he wasn't too far from however, the Great Library of Chungsu, seemed to be mostly abandoned, save for some noises within. Whether they were made by civilians trying to wait out the catastrophic event, or unfortunate souls who were killed within during the Tailed Beast's assault, and reanimated inside the fallen repository for the city's accumulated wealth, Shayde reasoned it was safer to try and get a more comprehensive grasp of the situation from there, as well as a much needed break from the stressful conditions that had been slowly building since he entered the Ruined City, than to try and walk the streets any further while under constant risk of detection. Waiting for an opportune moment, Shayde then silently snuck into the structure, using a shattered window as his entry point. As he dropped down into the interior, he breathed a sigh of relief, barely keeping his calm facade together. Despite what his expression was saying, returning to the place where he had once spent an entire night fighting to help innocent, defenseless people escape from what was essentially tantamount to a natural calamity, and almost dying in the process, wasn't a pleasant experience for him. As he took a moment to catch his breath, he took a look around at another location of importance to him; the Great Library of Chungsu, where he once met a monster in the skin of a man, who would go on to abduct, and experiment on him... So the idea to frantically return to Chungsu was, obviously, going great for Shayde. Only minor panic attacks, and bouts of PTSD, nothing to be concerned about... That was, until he shifted his head to the side, and noticed a pair of unlikely travel companions. A young woman of average build and height, with monochromatic hair, and crimson eyes, and a young man with spiky blueish-white hair, clad in a very sophisticated armor that hid most of his potential discerning features, save for a pair of glasses that highlighted his nigh-incandescent cyan eyes. Looking away from the pair, feeling out of place, as though he had accidentally stumbled upon a private moment, he soon looked back to see both still there. The faces on his muscles twinged, as if to say "Well, this is awkward..." before Shayde finally opened his mouth to speak.
"Uh... Hey... Looks like I wasn't the only one stupid enough to come here, despite the rumors of the dead coming back to life..."
As deafening silence filled the room, and Shayde awaited a response from either party, he took a long, hard look around the long-since dilapidated Library, somewhat saddened by the state it had fallen into.
Noelle realized the individual was quite persistent in her taking this scroll – to which she hesitantly took from his hand. She would take a look at it, before she opens it and starts to read it’s contents. She curiously observed it and the words written inside of it. It wasn’t bad content, some things new to her while some was old as it was here since the time of the grand library. “Thank you…um…” she said as she had no name for him but she closes the scroll back and hands it to him.
Before she continued to make a comment, she sensed two other souls approaching the building as they came crashing the meeting. She immediately gripped the hilt of her sword, drawing in a swift quick draw motion and pointed the blade at him, careful not to assume he was an enemy but in this case she wasn’t sure who to trust yet. "Uh... Hey... Looks like I wasn't the only one stupid enough to come here, despite the rumors of the dead coming back to life..." the odd one said, as she continued to aim her blade at him. “I’d watch that tongue of yours, it will end up as food to the zombies if you’re not careful.” she said, with Es floating towards the new comer – as the spirit began to observe his body too. It was almost systematic, but one thing that caught her attention was the presence of another soul…attached to him? She tilted her head, moving back behind Sigurd. “You’re a gentleman right? Defend a maiden when she’s in fear will ya” she said sarcastically, knowing she didn’t fear anything here besides the spiritual energy coming from upstairs.
She wanted to clear the room as fast as possible – thus she would slowly move away from them. As she turned a corner, she dipped to the side and blitz for the staircase. She’ll join the party again later, but this was more important – as she sheathed her sword back, with Es following behind her.
A most curious site seemed to be happening after Kazumi had escaped the zombies. There was quite a few people turning up to this once empty grave hard now over run by mindless evil zombies. What were they doing here, we're they with the evil necromancers who were disturbing the tomb? Kazumi's eyes followed them all closely, as she perched on the tree over looking the ruins. They seemed to disappear from view as they entered a building, one after the other, into some former grand building.
Hmm I should keep an eye on them, at least find out if they're involved in this evil...
Hopping down from the tree and carefully treading the streets, Kazumi approached the building silently, avoiding zombies wandering the streets, diving into the building that was now a shell of it's former glory. Surely an amazing site to see in its prime.
Before Kazumi could take in all its majesty there was a commotion from deeper in the building. Following the echoing sound, Kazumi stealthily approached the source as she saw a couple of people defending themselves from zombies that had wandered in. She would continue to observe for now, only keeping hidden to watch where they all go...

Sigurd acknowledged the new person that appeared at the library. It was a dark haired fellow with really intense eyes, as if they were the most important things about him. Of course, he was not one to judge at first glance so he allowed the man to define who he was--or rather what business he had here.
"Yes, the dead are coming back to life, and it's all tied to some dark ritual taking place deeper inland. If you've come to get to the bottom of it that's your best bet." He then turned to the skulking girl he had only met just a few second ago. "So I give you information, I ask for something--anything, really that could help me out as well and you disappear..."
He was about to finish taking when his eyes suddenly unfocused as he shifted his head to the side. Someone else was here. "This place is going to get crowded really soon. I think it best to find somewhere else to continue this discussion," he said to the man that just arrived.
Clone has started a mission with the following elements:
- Attempt to disrupt the necromantic ritual (A-Rank, 4)
- Analyze the barrier which protects the dead body and bone fragment (A-Rank, 4)
Summary: After being left behind to analyze the necromancers and their ritual Sigurd's clone is just as curious as he is, and attempts to take further steps in his analysis.
It had been a few hours since the original left, and he hadn't made it clear whether he'd be back soon or not. But, they shared the same mind and philosophy so Siegfried (clone's name from hereon out) knew Sigurd would take as much time as he needed to gather data. That meant he would have to do some research on his own in the meantime. Then when they do reunite they could compile data and create a proper image of what was happening on Chungsu.
From his perch Siegfried observed the necromancer images intently. The ritual they performed was one that took days by the looks of it for neither of them broke focus for anything. This could be an opportunity, he thought. The object they were huddled around, the coffin, appeared to be covered in some energy. Siegfried knew he had to know what that energy was, and what or who was in that coffin. He formed a hand seal to render his being transparent by bending the light around it. He then activated another stealth technique to erase any other traces of his descent as he fell from the perch and landed a few meters behind the necromancers. Though he did not fear death, he wasn't exactly fond of expiring before his mission's end and so he took utmost care as he approached the alter.
Finding an even space between the necromancers he squeezed by undetected--he hoped--and got a very good look at the coffin and the dead body that laid beside it. A sacrifice? This was definitely the work of Kinjutsu. Something forbidden. The victim looked to be dead a few days ago at most. A single stab wound to the heart. Quick and painless. These were experienced people. Siegfried jotted this down soundlessly.
The barrier. He wanted to touch it, or rather see how it behaved. Was it solid, energy, or just chakra? Could it be broken, anyhow? Seigfried reached out a hand and inserted a portion of his chakra into it. Normally, this technique would be sufficient to shatter most barriers, but not this one. The barrier pulsed as a pebble had hit it, but its integrity didn't change one bit. It was most likely impenetrable--
Something stirred behind him.
Tense but not moving, Sieg turned his head slightly to look. It wasn't the necromancers that made the sound, but a stray Dead One that had wandered in. It kept whispering words in an ancient language that neither Seig or Sigurd knew. He didn't even know how to write it down so he recorded it in syllables. Maybe they could decipher it later at the library. But this barrier, he thought as he turned to face it again. It could be invincible, and it was absolute in that it covered the coffin and body from all angles in an orb.
Or maybe. Maybe these images were the ones keeping the barrier active in their chant. Maybe this ritual was meant to keep whatever that was in that coffin from coming out instead of intruders going in. Maybe what was in that coffin was the cause of this mess. Or... he was just allowing his mind to race. His next thought was to disrupt this ritual, which could lead to the Dead Ones returning to the grave. To do this he would need to completely blindside the necromancers, and seeing he had already managed to squeeze past them thus far that wouldn't be so hard. Or at least he hoped. He began placing tags in the ground around each necromancer. The tags, explosive in nature, would meld with the material and remain hidden just like he was.
As soon as he did this he cleared the alter as quietly and quickly as he could and found refuge behind a broken column. He then activated the seals which set of four explosions grand enough to cause severe harm. The sound was a little louder than he expected, and now he regretted having not come up with a better idea. Though, as the smoke cleared he peeked to see the necromancers hadn't as much as flinched. They were simply unbothered. He was writing this down when a chorus of wails sounded behind him. Then followed the sound of a lot of footsteps drawing near. It sounded like a horde.
What have I done?
Techniques:
(Meisaigakure no Jutsu) - Hiding with Camouflage Technique
Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 30 (-10 per turn active)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This is a ninja escape technique that allows the user after performing the Tiger hand seal to control how light is reflected around their body with chakra inflections. The technique also erases the user's scent and shadow, and is usable on any terrain, making it ideal not only for covert maneuvers but also offensive strikes. Perceiving the user's position is possible only for ninja who are astute enough to observe minute variations within their surrounding environment, such as distortions of air currents in the immediate vicinity or distinguishing sounds, i.e. footsteps etc. However, the usefulness of this ability can be entirely negated by those with special vision or sensory skills. The Second Tsuchikage, Mū's mastery of this technique helped earn him the moniker "Non-Person" seemingly having neither form nor chakra while the technique was active. Thus, he could not be sensed through traditional means.
Note: Technique lasts a total of 3 turns
(Muon Satsujin Jutsu) - Silent Homicide Technique
Rank: D
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:20
Description: Muon Satsujin Jutsu, the ability to commit a silent homicide, is a technique to dispatch your foe with no warning. Your quick speed and skills will instantly kill them before they can provide a defense. Best tactic is when used with Hidden Mist jutsu. The technique works by having the user focus his chakra and his complete attention on moving fluidly, rapidly but muffling any sound he may make while moving as well as his presence, etc. It doesn't suppress his chakra or hides it but it can make the opponent virtually undetected if he manages to get on the opponents blind spot.
(Kekkai Kireme no Jutsu) - Barrier Shatter Technique
Rank: B-Rank
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will insert their chakra into a active barrier to then interfere with the source and cancel the barrier shattering its shell.
Note: Must make direct contact and only works with up to B rank barriers.
(Fuda Kakusu no Jutsu) Tag Hidding Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 5 (per tag) (20)
Damage: N/A
Description:
The user will use his chakra to hide a paper tag inside an inanimate object, like the ground or a wall. The tag can be a sealing tag or an explosive tag. The technique can be used to hide more than one tag per use if the user spends more chakra. Hidden tags can be detected by doujutsu or expert sensory ninjas.
Investigate the necromancers inside the monastery (A-Rank, 4)
Morrigan and Symmetra finally arrived at the Chungsu Ruins. It was every bit as creepy and depressing as Symmetra hoped it would be. Black walls encircled the ruin with cracks and passage ways that led into the monastery. Symmetra walked over to an opening and peered inside getting a scope of the land in front instead of walking through blindly.
This seems to be the place. Let's hope this is actually worth it.
The opening itself was quite short in height and required Symmetra to duck down and pass her body through the crack before being able to stand up straight again. An ominous air presented itself to Symmetra. If this place was where the reanimated corpses originated from, then those who reanimated those bodies should still be around... or at least close by.
Faint chants could be heard within the hallways of the monastery and they echoed throughout the entire structure, it was increasingly hard to pinpoint the origin of the chants. Symmetra then turned to Morrigan asking her questions about this thing... magic.
Alright, you seem like you would know about these dark, magic type things. Tell me what you know if anything. Once we get that, we can begin searching for the source of these chants.
Symmetra awaited a response while surveying the area, still trying to pinpoint the location of the chants or at least pick a place to start searching.
This post marks the beginning of my mission using the following elements: - Defend yourself from multiple waves of zombies (S-Rank, 5)
-Sneak into the monastery without alerting any of the zombies (S-Rank, 5)
Summary: After hearing about the condition plauguing this land from a conversation in the markets of 103, Trunks has travelled a very far distance to hopefully use his Medical knowledge to help the people now ravenous beasts. Upon inspecting several from a far, Trunks realizes that this "condition" was something he had never seen, and likely not a condition at all. He had heard of reanimation jutsu, but they did not work like this. Deciding to investigate, Trunks sneaks into the monestary, where he will study the necromancers and analyze the situation before accidentally alerting a horde, which proceeds to alert other hordes of Trunks location. Trunks must fight for his life to escape and warn his fellow clan members of this impending doom.
Now approaching the shoreline, Trunks activates a Ninjutsu that he will maintain for the majority of this trip. The jutsu bends light around him, making him appear to simply disappear, rendering him in invisible to all eyes. If the sick here were attacking on sight, it would be a good idea to limit that response so Trunks could analyze them in their natural state, without being riled up.

After reaching the shore, Trunks doesn't immediately see anyone or anything. The sands, still wet from the tide, was the only noise to be heard as it sloshed under Trunks' weight. Getting to dry, solid land quickly, Trunks sees ruins in the distance. Deciding that he would be most likely find what he was looking for there, Trunks heads that direction, keeping both eyes and ears open for signs of anyone or anything.
It isn't long before Trunks finds a few members of the plagued community that the man had spoken of. There were three, all adult males, around 20 meters to Trunks' front-right. Jumping to a nearby tree, being as silent as can be, Trunks watches the beings for a while to see how they interact with each other, and other behaviors that could help him unravel this mystery. After watching for nearly an hour, all Trunks notices is the beings are docile for the most part, simply swaying at most moments, never wondering more than a few feet from their current position at a time, with only a handful of grunts and growls among them.
Maybe the man was wrong. Maybe these weren't the beast Trunks was looking for after all. Either way, Trunks needed more information to be certain. Dropping from the tree silently, Trunks attempts to get closer for further investigation. One step, two steps, three st- SNAP! Stepping on a pile of pine needles, Trunks doesn't notice the thin branch beneath it, snapping immediately through upon applying pressure. Wincing at the sound, Trunks looks up and prepares to ready himself to the attack when he notices that they aren't responding to the sound. An interesting development. But as he continues to approach, a wave of extreme odor hits Trunks in the face, burning his nostriles, turning his stomach, and making his eyes water instantly. Still acting silently, Trunks realizes what the smell is as he gets a good look at the creatures, now under two meters away. Their rotted flesh loosely clinging to bone, just as their rags hung off their bodies; each with a separate but equal wound that should.. was fatal alone. This was no disease, disease only effect the living. This was man made, this was an evil jutsu that gave these corpses movement once more. Knowing that he must find more information, Trunks slowly backs away from the trio before putting himself back on the track needed to get to the monestary, now not far away.
Coming to a clearing, Trunks abruptly stops as he sees what must be a thousand of the things from before, all standing in a mass around the monestary. There was no way that he could get by all of them without alerting them to his presence. Being so tightly packed together, Trunks would be sure to bump into several just trying to transverse the land. Being invisible, Trunks' immediate reaction is to go to the skies via his Shakujo, but his platform would be noticed immediately, due to his invisibility not extending to his tools. If I can't go over.. Trunks thinks to himself while backing up several dozen meters from his location. Forming a series of handseals, Trunks creates a burrow in the ground that opens at his feet, extends into the earth and tunnels directly beneath the monestary. With this route, Trunks can transverse the same amount of ground without any intereference or notice of his arrival.
(Doton: Ton'neru chika no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Tunneling Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Ram → Dog → Rat → Bird is able to create a wide tunnel in the ground, this cannot travel through rock though or anything with a high density. The large tunnel that is created allows the user to transport others without detection.
Note: The initial entry of the technique is short range
Jumping into the tunnel, Trunks begins his transgressions to the hopeful source of this wicked occurance. It doesn't take him long to hear the shuffles and groans of the zombie like beings above, indicating that it won't be far until he is directly beneath the monestary. Arriving at the end of his tunnel, Trunks ascends into the bottom level of the building. It doesn't take him long to find the main corridor after, noticing that several zombies litter the building. Carefully dodging them, Trunks makes his way down the hall until he begins to hear chanting coming from a far off room. Moving diligently, and silently, Trunks comes to the room and takes in everything that he sees.
Clearly a ritual of some kind, involving four people, what appears to be a piece of bone of some kind, and a corpse, this time not animated, and not nearly as decomposed. This one was killed recently, probably for the ritual itself. Meaning Kinjutsu, a power that Trunks has little knowledge. As he looks closer, he notices that the figures aren't corporeal, but merely projections of themselves. Knowing his jutsu will keep him safe from sight, Trunks confidently approaches the projections, pulling his phone out of his ninja bag. Sizing up the camera on the first first, Trunks gets a clear picture of the man's face before snapping the picture
Flash
How could he be so careless? As the flash from his phones camera lights the area, all eyes instantly turn to Trunks' who body was now illuminated from the dust gathered on his body from the tunnel reflecting the flashing light. Knowing he only has precious few moments before the horde is upon him, Trunks quickly snaps pictures of the other three.. Necromancers, a fitting title considering their affinity for the dead, before returning his phone, ending his camoflauge jutsu and turning to face the horde.
As the faster ones enclose, Trunks does a spinning back fist to travel closer to the horde while simultaneously taking out several zombies with the move. A punch to the zombie in front, a spinning back kick to the one enclosing from behind, an elbow here, a knee there. With every blow he was taking out one or more zombies, but was gaining no ground. At this rate he would lose stamina and succumb to the advances of the horde. Attack, after attack, Trunks becoming more and more tired, rage begins budkng within Trunks as he thinks of his most recent failure. A nonfitting time for such thoughts, but his drive to win using them to push himself beyond his normal limits, set by his own inability to act against living creatures.. And that's when it hits him, these beings aren't alive! This is his one free pass to go all out and not have to worry about the pain caused as a result!
With this new found wind, Trunks can envision his Father in every rotting face before him, raising his fighting spirit, dwelving him into a near blood lust state. Punching the next agap jaw coming his way, Trunks rips the beings head from it's shoulders, sending it back into the face of another, encaving it's face and sending the goo that was it's brain gushing out of it's ear holes. Both begin to drop as Trunks hears another appoaching from behind. With one swift motion, Trunks hop tosses the zombie forward into the horde before flipping onto it, driving them all into the ground, stomping their heads with a quick tap dance upon landing. Flinging himself into this next set, Trunks continues this path of destruction, literally carving his way back to the hall through human flesh.
Upon reaching the doorway, Trunks looks to his left and right to see if any zombies remained. Aside from the moaning from the slowest zombies behind him, and the distant growls of zombies apparently approaching the front door, he couldnt hear or see anything. About to move forward, Trunks stops and turns his attention to the slow ones at his back. If you insist, I guess I have a little more time to play he remarks as he proceeds to hone his skills on the weak and malleable zombies.
Coming back to the hall after, Trunks is greeted by another wave of zombies, starting approximately 10 meters past his location at the door to the hall. Exiting the room to face the zombies, Trunks checks over his shoulder and makes sure his tunnel is still there. Smiling, he speaks once more, I don't have much time to mess around here, but, because you've been such a lovely crowd, I will give you an encore! he announces to the lifeless drones as he plunges into them once more. One after another he picks off, often time taking out as many as ten others with a single manuever. It isn't long, however that Trunks feels the wear on his body. To release this rage was good, but against an army of this size alone.. Had he gotten in over his head? Though he had faught valiantly in these many hours, he was no warrior in the traditional sense. Using his self aware nature, Trunks begins to back off of the zombie horde, seeming to grow in number no matter his efforts. Before long, he was at a sprint for his tunnel, reaching it in moments.
Jumping into it, Trunks makes a mad dash for the exit, checking over his shoulder for the more active zombies, ones that were probably shinobi in their day. Before long he is met with a familiar sound, a groaning mixed with shuffles of feet and echoes of running in the tunnel, but instead of coming from behind, the sounds came from the front.
Thinking back, Trunks remembers his fatal mistake, he never hid his entrance. He left it wide open for zombie infiltration. Approaching his fate, Trunks is met with three familiar faces, the three he met on the journey here. The three that he had initially studied, but had left as to attend to their own will. It seemed as if fate had drawn them back, beckoning Trunks to send their reanimation back to the afterlife. His suspicions are confirmed when the zombies halt, waiting for Trunks to respond. They wanted him to move first, knowing it would end in their destruction. They didn't enjoy this binding to earth, and was trying to show that to Trunks. Hearing the remenants of the last wave behind him approaching, Trunks comes to his conclusion.
I understand now, thank you. Trunks says calmly as he slips a pill of his creation into his mouth, one with the name of Velocity 9. Feeling a surge of power, Trunks advances forward, delivering two strong punches and a headbutt across the first three zombies of the horde, his initial watch subjects. Im sorry Trunks says tearfully as he makes contact with all three all at once, ending their existence on this Earth once and for all.
Velocity 9
Creator: Xicer
Type: Healing/Supplementary
Description and Background: Velocity 9 is based heavily on the same principles behind (Ketsueki no Zōka Piru) Blood Replenishing Pill focusing on increasing speed, healing, stamina and to a lesser extent strength. This is done through the process of blood doping by creating an excess amount of blood through the pill which at is base is a large does of the hormone erythropoietin. Erythropoietin is a substance produced by the kidney that leads to the formation of red blood cells, by consuming more Erythropoietin than the kidneys naturally produce the consumer is able to increase the red blood cell content which allows the newly created blood to carry oxygen to the muscles, tendons and organs allowing them to work harder, longer, and with less rest. This is because they are constantly being supplied with oxygen, increasing the rate of cellular respiration. Cellular respiration is the process in which your muscles use oxygen to produce ATP energy. The process is rather simple your body obtains oxygen from the ambient air you breathe. It enters the blood stream and is carried to your muscles, where some of it is used immediately, and the rest is stored by a compound called myoglobin. Whether you’re using your muscles or not, the oxygen in your body is used to break down glucose and create the fuel for your muscles called ATP. More oxygen means more extra energy.
Additionally the hormone erythropoietin is paired with a haemoglobin-based oxygen carrier which in essence is a blood substitute which allows the blood itself to carry more oxygen than natural. This substance was designed specifically to maximize blood flow and tissue perfusion and therefore, oxygenation. All of this together also create a process called Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy, which is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein derived from whole blood. It has a greater concentration of growth factors than whole blood, and is used in the medicine to encourage a brisk healing response across several bodily structures including tendons, skin, bones and organs. This is because the platelet-rich plasma contains growth hormones that can stimulate the healing of soft tissue and joints slowly healing the body over time.
All of the above mentioned substances work together to increase the users speed x2 increases their reactions x2 and increases the rate at which they heal allowing them to heal twenty damage per turn for three turns. Additionally it will increase their taijutsu damage by twenty damage. Thus allowing moderate to severe wounds to be healed but cannot heal things like missing limbs or appendages. This is because it is basically just a very increased form of homeostasis allowing the body to return to normal. The increase to reactions is because the brain is able to be supplied with excess oxygen allowing it to process information faster. Large wounds such as cuts, scrapes etc will scab over quicker with blood coagulating and making the user immune to the process of bleeding out. Broken bones can also be healed slowly over time as well as nerve and tendon damage. It also has the effect of diluting and scrubbing the body of poison should it be inside the body nullifying it.
Description of Side Effects:
The side effects include high blood pressure, hyper-viscosity of the blood as well as a decreased cardiac output and blood flow velocity which results in the reduction of peripheral oxygen delivery. What all of this amounts to is that after taking one pill the blood thickens slightly causing the body to be less oxygenated. This in turn slows the user by two speed ranks after the first pill wears off for two turns. This becomes three speed ranks after a second pill wears off for three turns and finally after a third pill wears off the users speed is halved for three turns.
During the times where they are slowed they will breathe heavily and sweat profusely as if always trying to catch their breath. This is because of the taxing nature of the reaction the blood has as the heart muscle will need to work harder and longer to maintain itself and oxygen to the muscles and brain. Additionally they will be unable to form more than four hand seals per turn for the period of time wherein they are effected
Note: Effects last 3 turns with a single turn cool down period
Note: Usable three times
Using his forward momentum, Trunks flips his legs over himself and catches his feet on the heads of the next layer of zombies, launching himself forward crushing their skulls upon lift. Striding forward, Trunks runs atop the heads of the zombies littering his tunnel, launching himself forward, and smashing the heads he is lifting from in the process. Finally reaching the end, Trunks sprints for the end of the tunnel, reaching the outside air in moments.
Spinning 180°, Trunks faces the tunnel he had created and proceeds to fulfill his moral obligations to these souls held here against their will. Forming a single handseal, Trunks seals the fate of many but dislodging the main support of the tunnel, causing the approximate wave of zombies to be crushed by the resulting cave in of the tunnel.
(Doton: Iwa Yado Kuzushi) - Earth Release: Stone Lodging Destruction
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A (up to 60)
Descripton: The user will do one hand seal and cause nearby earth structures (either natural occurring ones on the field (such as cave ceilings, cliffs, etc), man made (buildings, etc) or jutsu made (up to C-Rank active structures)) to collapse and fall. This technique allows the ninja to control nearby stone and rock and dislodge any vulnerable or sensitive spots, causing the structure to collapse. This can be especially useful if in a cave or a stone lodging. The technique can loosen the rocks and cause them to come raining down on whomever is trapped inside. The damage depends on the size of the cavern or rock lodging above or nearby the target and not on the amount of chakra used which doesn't need to be high. A large cave with a thick ceiling can easily do the physical damage equivalent to an A-Rank technique but due to the damage not being focused or chakra fueled, its also easily defendable.
Pushing everything that just occurred to the side, Trunks knows that the information contained on his phone needed to be put in clan hands immediately. Knowing this, he heads off, preparing for the trip back home.
This post marks the beginning of my mission using these storyboard elements:
Defend yourself from multiple waves of zombies ( 5 )
Save a large community from danger ( 5 )
Summary: Sado wants to clear out a large portion of the undead found in the Ruins of Chungsu because they throw a wrench into the plan he has been building for months. They pin Shinramoto down between an undead scourge to the north and Takauji Ashikaga to the south. This puts Shinramoto at a very disadvantageous position unless one of these two things are eliminated. This is especially true while Shinramoto as a whole is still reeling from the recent events of the Battle of Shinramoto which killed many and destroyed portions of the village. Additionally, it seems Lena wishes to save the bandits that she was trying to ally with previously so Sado is going to try and become the distraction that allows her to pierce through the scourge and get to the bandits to discuss their retreat. His objective will mainly be to defend from the scourge ( Defend yourself from multiple waves of zombies ) and keep the scourge as distracted as possible and focused on him so that Lena is able to evacuate and save who she can from the community of bandits. ( Save a large community from danger ) Going to make my own mission multiple posts to let Vegeta and Never both do what they want to.
Sado and Vegeta walked into the Ruins of Chungsu as Sado deviated slightly from Vegeta breaking away enough to set his own plan in motion. He called out to Vegeta first explaining to him what his plan was and then he called out to Lena who he assumed was above or near him flying in on the bird she mentioned Songbird. Sado's tone was picking up, the bored and fidgety tone from earlier was replaced by stalwart devotion for the cause in front him of.
Honestly, he just liked the idea of being able to destroy and conquer without any repercussions. If he were to do this to a village, or a settlement he would be branded evil, but due to the fact that these creatures were all undead, he'd be considered a hero instead. He grinned slightly at that thought as he continued speaking in a direct tone, not exactly giving orders but explaining the best course of actions he could see for this event. Even when not trying to be strategic his mind worked that way. He assumed they couldn't fly, so they'd have to move through foot travel.
Vegeta, do what you do best.
Sado nodded toward Vegeta. He knew the man would know what he meant and didn't need much more than that.
Lena, I'm going to distract the horde and try to keep them moving toward me at all times. Exploit that opening and get Topaz to his people. From there begin their retreat. I believe using walls could be advantageous. If you raise two walls on either side of you as you move forward you can create a path with which to move. That should keep any undead that slip from my distraction confined to a small area making it so they have less of a chance to harm you and those people. Though if you can think of a better plan, go for it. It seems they're rather slow and dumb, drawn to sound, and to people. Go, I can handle this. I can tell yours is more of a rescue mission. My own is more direct I just want to break shit.
As he said "Go, I can handle this" loud music began to push forward throughout the landmark emanating directly from Sado himself surrounding him in shrill tones. It was cacophonous and distracting as the sharp guitar riffs cut through the silence pushing outward through every small or large ruin drawing the attention of every undead thing in the lands. With a wash of grunts and guttural screeches, a large portion of the scourge began to move toward the loudest thing in the area which was Sado. Their bodies were twisted, mangled and decayed as they hobbled forth.
The group as they entered the Ruins of Chungsu would be at the southernmost part of the landmark meaning Sado had a large area of mindless undead to tear through. As the music began to pick up louder and more abruptly rushing out to long range from his position the numerous undead began to shamble southward toward Sado as he slowly and deliberately walked forward. There wasn't a moment of hesitation in his stance or gate as he continued onward looking out over the Ruins of Chungsu. For a land that Takauji wanted so vehemently, it looked like a shithole, now even more so with the thousands upon thousands of undead speckled throughout the area. Sado seemed like a man with a clear goal not flinching at all from the massive group of undead now making their way to him.
( Sandāu~ēbu ) - Thunderwave
Type: Tool
Rank: A
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: N/A ( - 5 per turn when used )
Damage: N/A
Description: Thunderwave is a basic chest plate outfitted with a surround sound speaker system, and a microphone. It can be used to play music or make noises more audible than normal similar to a karaoke machine. It is able to produce sound louder than most techniques or the clashing of techniques and can be much louder than the user or opponent can scream. In essence it can act like the (Utsusemi no Jutsu) - Empty Cicada Shell Technique passively at all times being louder and stronger than even that basic technique. It comes pre-loaded with all of the wielder's favorite songs. In battle it can be used to play theme music or it can make the user louder as it has a built in microphone system connected to the speaker system.
The primary use of Thunderwave as mentioned above is the ability to play music with the offshoot of this being the ability to cancel sound waves with sound waves while playing music. This is similar to the Scientific Ninja Tool: Shijima and works like a noise-cancellation speaker. The system can emit a sound wave with the same amplitude but with inverted phase also known as antiphase to the original sound. The waves combine to form a new wave, in a process called interference, and effectively cancel each other out. This effect is called destructive interference and is able to nullify sound techniques in equal rank. The sound can encompass a short - long range area around the user being louder the closer to the user the people who can hear it are and due to this it has a dampening system as to not harm the users ears or cause them any undue problems. It can be fine tuned to look different depending on the wielder's appearance or preference.
Note: Sound techniques can only be canceled once per turn three times per battle.
The more he thought about it the more he realized that he could truly let go and be a completely destructive beast of indiscretion here. That idea excited him thoroughly as he rushed to form a few hand seals. He had been planning everything for months, every detail had to be thought out and nearly every possible reply accounted for. But here, he could just destroy, kill and distract. He didn't have to be tactical. It might help him understand the flow of battle if he really focused, and could be of use in the future against his current rival, but he was already lost to the thought of destruction. He forced a large amount of chakra into the ground as it began to tear in upon itself several of the ruins falling inward to a hole created in the ground as the ground buckled in upon itself. The earth itself was being crushed and broken down, ground together upon itself as pieces of it began to slide against one another becoming finer and finer particles until a portion of the ground was now a mass of a material that looked like a small desert.
Sado wasn't done however as that area of sand, dirt, dust and other particles began to coalesce into a large sand-based creature. During the formation of it, Sado threw several kunai with tags attached into the creature as a few of them detonated. This caused the creature to swell as more red sand was fed into it making it become even larger and more powerful. The horde continued onward toward Sado as the face of the creature twisted into a grimace of fury. It's arms lashed forward in two slight arcs as the creature cried out in a terrible noise.
It wasn't like the cry of an animal or a person it sounded like hard-rock and stone bashing together and being turned into dust as the loud sound echoed outward alongside the music. In a second a hundred or so of the shambling undead were reduced to smears upon the ground under the weight and force of Asmodeus. It's power and the properties of the Red Sand his body was made of made it so that it could easily smash and burn the decaying creatures before they could reach Sado who was a few feet behind his behemoth of a create standing at least fifteen meters tall with a gate that allowed it to move and flow across the ground almost in an ethereal manner like a condensed and moving dust-storm.
(Nirro Suna: Nesasu no Asumodeusu) Red Sand Release: Asmodeus of Nessus
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: S
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 40 ( -10 per turn )
Damage points: 80 ( +20 Tags ) ( +20 SM ) = 120
Description: The user will perform three handseals their chakra into the ground. From this massive amount of chakra the user causes Red Sand to form and then erupt upward from the ground buckling it and cracking it as a massive creature made out of Red Sand rises from the ground. The creature will be completely made out of Red Sand and is able to protect the user from incoming techniques while also being able to attack. Once per turn passively the creature can lash out with it's arms or body to smash or crush anything in it's path with the sheer weight and size of their body. It not only can attack a target physically by lashing out in various ways to attack the enemy in a freeform manner it can attack at range. It does this by shooting from it's mouth a highly pressurized torrent of Red Sand with enough potential and strength to pierce through techniques that Red Sand is strong to (A-rank in strength). This can be done once per turn with a two turn cool down and costs a move slot, twice per battle. Any Red Sand that touches human or animal flesh is able to cause third degree burns. If there is a red sand source available the creature can use it to reform itself from damage it could have taken while being used but it counts as a move slot. However unlike the reformation ability mentioned above this doesn't cost any chakra needing only a source of Red Sand to accomplish After the creature is done or if it's broken down due to a clash with a stronger technique the creature will disperse itself throughout the air causing a massive source of Red Sand to form leaving red sand all over the battle field up to mid range.
Note: Usable twice a battle and needs a two turn cool down while no other Red Sand jutsus can be used during the cool down. After it's dispersal.
Note: The user cannot use any techniques other than Red Sand techniques while sustaining the creature.
Note: The torrent of Red Sand and the reformation abilities each cost a move slot but can be used in the same timeframe as another technique due to originating from the creature instead of the user.
Note: Creature can last for three turns
(Akai Sabaku no Tagu) - Tags of the Red Desert
Type: Supplementary
Rank: N/A
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: N/A (-5 per tag)
Damage: N/A ( +20 to paper ninjutsu, tag based ninjutsu or Red Sand Techniques )
Description: These tags were created by Korra to use in conjunction with her Paper Ninjutsu and are a replacement for the explosive tags a shinobi usually carries thus making them passive. These tags are red in color with a desert/sand look with 漠 on the middle. The tags contain red sand in them and can be detonated by the user merely through thought. The sand in the tags help give the user a source of red sand throughout the battle field. Each single tag contains enough red sand to support a D rank Red Sand technique. The user can use the red sand from the tags for other Red Sand techniques but only if enough tags go off for example the remainders of a single tag can support a D rank technique. The remainder of two tags can support a C rank etc. If used alongside basic ninjutsu that summons Explosive Tags like Hidden Explosive Tags Technique, or that uses Explosive tags that technique is considered a Red Sand technique and will release Red Sand upon detonation. These tags can also be used alongside Red Sand techniques by funneling them into the formation of a technique empowering a Red Sand technique allowing it to overcome it's usual weaknesses as when it clashes with another technique the tags will detonate releasing more Red Sand and increasing the strength of that technique enough to overcome it's weakness.
Note: Must post this in the user bios to be able to use them or post them in the start of the battle and cannot be utilized alongside other seals to increase tag damage.
Salazzle. Hold the line if they break through.
I don't believe poison will be useful here, so save your effort incase they become a problem.
Sado called out to his summoning companion telling her to remain vigilant as he would be performing sweeping attacks to try and keep all of the undead focused in one area. He knew poison would probably ineffective on the dead so he relied heavily on his Red Sand usage as it could crush their bones and body, destroy their decaying flesh and burn the creatures to ash should anything remain. He didn't want these creatures spreading to Shinramoto and he didn't want them getting close to himself or his allies. He didn't know if whatever brought them back was contagious or not so he wanted to minimize the amount of leftover flesh, bone, and viscera. Asmodeus kept moving through the initial horde of undead as Sado walked in slowly behind him performing three hand seals and then lifting his right hand upward and moving it in an arcing motion across the field. This created a large wisp-like blade of condensed and pressurized Red Sand that he released from his right hand. Using his left he funneled more tags into the technique so that as the scythe-like blade moved forward the tags exploded causing more Red Sand to be produced increasing the sharpness and heat of the initial technique far beyond its normal limitations.
The blade skated forward across the battlefield through the air and connected with roughly forty of the undead severing their bodies in two. Sado watched them as the lower half of their bodies were completely obliterated a large portion of them being only chests, arms, and heads. However, the resilient creatures continued to crawl forward using what remained of their upper-bodies to pull themselves forward. This caused viscera and guts to litter the field as they moved forward literally disemboweling themselves to continued forward toward Sado who was still being rather loud as the music continued to emanate from his position. He looked across the field to check on his allies while in unison scouting momentarily for any more of the undead.
It seemed like the first wave was dealt with as there seemed to be none left in his immediate area. That was until he noticed a fair distance to the north-west about thirty or so meters away more were incoming too many to count or even estimate. They were shambling forward in a congested mass of undeath crawling over each other to get to the commotion created by Sado and his party.
(Nirro Suna: Ryokō-sha no Tsūru) Red Sand Release: Tools of the Traveler
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: B - S
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20 - 40
Damage points: 40 - 80 ( +20 Tags ) ( +20 SM ) = 120
Description: The user can form strong tools out of Red Sand either by creating a source with this jutsu or manipulating an already existing source, these include; kunai, swords, pillars, shields etc. However B rank will need one hand seal, A rank will need two hand seals and S rank will need three hand seals. The tools will be able to repel water and other liquids and the sand is heated significantly giving them a burning property. The heat from the tools are enough to cause third degree burns to human skin on contact and cause deep searing wounds. The user himself doesn't directly touch the tools therefor he is unaffected by the heat of them. The tools can only be created short range from the user if the technique is used to create its own source of red sand. As a defensive mechanism the user is able to produce Red Sand directly from their body in a large enough quantity to push hazardous substances such as liquid, oil, fire, mud, etc away and off of them.
Note: S rank can be used once per turn and four times per battle

Sado called out to Vegeta with a request. He assumed Lena would be fine, but he wanted to make sure she made it to the bandits he thought she was trying to save, safely herself. He remembered back to the Battle of Shinramoto and how she changed becoming arrogant, reckless and self-absorbed when she started referring to herself as Sorrows. He didn't want her hurting herself in a fool-hearted manner again like how she had lost that construct in the Battle. It seemed to affect her greatly and he didn't want a repeat of such an event. He didn't "tell" Vegeta to do anything, merely requested him to watch Lena's back and keep the undead scourge off of her while she did what she needed to.
Vegeta, can you keep an eye on Lena for me? I'll take care of a lot of these mobs.
Feel free to do whatever you want but she holds our foothold in the Tea Peninsula by way of Shinramoto.
As Trunks makes his way back to the ghoulish LM he had just left, he immediately spots the phone a few meters away from where he laid the majority of the zombies he encountered to rest, even though the area was now once more flooded with new zombies. Picking it up quickly, Trunks is about to leave to notify the others when he hears.. something. Music? In this random ass.. Wait, Trunks does know one person known for this behavior.
Travelling toward the sound, Trunks is greeted by Sados familiar face, along side his Father's scowl. A fortunate turn of events, now Trunks would only have to notify Grenth of the situation. Approaching the pair, Trunks calls out to Sado, nonchalantly, completely ignoring the impending horde. Yo Sado, I've found the source of this shit already, it's these guys doing some funky ritual with a sacrifice and a bone. I was attacked by multiple waves of these beings before escaping, but I did manage to snag pictures of them all, even though they are merely atral projections. Also, catch, both of you. Trunks says tossing 4 pills up, 2 toward Sado and 2 toward his father.
Take these, and you'll run faster, hit harder, and have increased healing, amongst other things, for a period of time. After this time period is up, the side effects will kick in, slowing you significantly, something that increases with the number of pills you take, so watch it.
Trunks then walks back several meters and sits on a stump. I've already had my fun with these clowns, so yell if you need anything he says propping his feet up on a boulder outstretched in front of the stump.

Clone continuing its mission with the following elements:
- Defend yourself from multiple waves of zombies (S-Rank, 5)
- Fight your way out of the Ruins of Chungsu without using your Ninjutsu (S-Rank, 5)
Summary: After inadvertently alerting the zombies of the monastery Sigurd's clone now has to live with the choices he made and fight his way out of the cursed spot. On the way he rendezvous's with his original, the two extrapolate data, and come to a definite conclusion on what Sigurd calls "The Second Tragedy of Chungsu." I've just gotten myself killed, that's what!
Little did our clone know that he just might have gotten everyone on the island killed. The first place he looked after hearing the impending horde was the Necromancers and their ritual. Neither of them moved. Damn, those guys must've really needed this thing completion, he thought as he stared at their turned backs. Then again, with an incorporeal form such as what they had ignoring damage would be second nature for anyone. Seig quickly gauges his best means of action; mow through the Dead Ones at this church, then make it to the library to alert Sigurd. Sounds good to me.
The first wave of Dead Ones busted down the main wooden doors to the chamber room and began sprawling over each other and the pews to get to the source of the commotion. With his camouflage still on Seig darted along the walls hoping to exit without a fuss and leave them lost. But as soon as he reached the splinters that was once the door he saw what would have made most people go weak in the eyes. An unimaginable amount of Dead Ones descending the stairs with hungry eyes and agape mouths. Their chant, which was in another language, deafened him with its echoes from the stone walls that was an underground hall. Seig knew one thing then, that he'd have to fight his way out of this with claws and teeth and the will to live on and relay the data he had collected. Deactivating both his stealth techniques, Seig would have the IXA unfold into its sword form. Things were about to get really grimy.
A Dead One noticed him in its blind hunger and made a swing for his torso but a quick sidestep and falling strike separated its shoulders from its spine and it fell into a heap of rotting flesh and stale blood. If it weren't for the face mask he wore Seig was certain he would've puked at both the sight and smell. He stepped over the eyesore and immediately got to carving his way down a small flight of stairs and into the main hall. He was an avid Kenjutsu master, just like his original, and had no issues striking his targets down, but the advantage they had was numbers while he was only human with human limitations. Fatigue was one such limitation, and after forcefully retrieving the IXA from an already bashed in skull Seig soon realized that this may be a dying fight. But I still have to tell Sigurd about the necromancers and barrier! Failure was not an option. The clone ducked under a swing, rammed the IXA into his attacker, and with a war cry coming from his chest pushed the Dead One forward like a battering ram into the others. When he was done he wrenched the blade from its gut and allowed the pungent blood to splatter on the sides of the walls. I won't lose. Sigurd is counting on me!
[ Meanwhile, at the Great Library of Chungsu ]
Back at the library Sigurd could've sworn he heard a concussive blast go off to the West. That better not be coming from the monastery, he thought. With the girl gone and the dark haired fellow still looking like he was contemplating an answer he realized there wasn't much advancement going on for his research the longer he sat idly.
"Terribly sorry, but I fear something might be happening at the monastery that I absolutely must investigate," he said to Shayde. "Though, I feel our paths will cross again as you are like me: a seeker. I'll take my leave now." He paused as he was turning. "I must warn you, there are others on this island. Whether they are friend or foe is beyond my reasoning but exercise caution in all things, yes? See you around, stranger."
With that Sigurd turned gracefully and allowed his footsteps to echo off the abandoned shelves and books as he left the two survivors inside. Though they were not important to his research he still made notes of them in his log. The girl held some strange ability to induce... Fear? What was that that I felt in there? It was something strange, like a feeling of absolute dread. And the fact that she tried to play it off left Sigurd feeling none too fond or trusting of her character. And the man. He seemed composed and overly formal. There wasn't much to write on him, actually, but he did look like a man with a lot on his mind. Placing his log in a pocket Sigurd looked toward the monastery with a trained gaze.
"I wonder what that other has been up to in my absence..."
[ Back at the monastery ]
Covered in blood and guts Seig had just made it to the other end of the hall after all this time. His breathing was heavy but trained, and the once black and gold IXA was now a mucky black and pink from all the viscera it had been cleaving. A Dead One he had long dismembered grabbed onto his ankle and yanked it hard enough to take his balance. With an ounce of panic Seig found himself suddenly wrestling in a sea of bodies while more piled on top of him. It was an absolute nightmare and soon after he found himself shrieking in terror. He swung wildly with the IXA as he ripped the cold fingers off his skin. He then rolled on top of the corpses til he had momentum and distance from the others before coming to a shaky stand. Things weren't looking so good. Maybe he'd be terminated before seeing Sigurd again...
"No! I want to live!" screamed the defiant creation as he charged into the horde again.
Where he needed to go was directly behind the Dead Ones. He needed to exit the monastery, and get some fresh air before leaving this shit show of an island entirely. He rammed a hand into some random zombie's skull and hooked it with enough force to decapitate the thing. Well, given that its neck was already partially decomposed this was no hard feat, but boy did it feel good when he used it to shatter another zombie's shins from a couple yards away. Seig found himself improvising a bit more as he neared the doors of freedom. At one point he had used one zombie to surf on a group of at least ten after he had removed their legs.
When he finally busted through the doors a blast of cold and fresh air on his face was the greatest liberation he had ever gotten in his short life. With the Dead Ones high on his heel he broke for the tree line. If only I could get some height to signal Sigurd...! But even the grounds of the monastery were infested. Sieg sighed loud enough to blow his sweat drenched hair a few centimeters off his face. What a pain in the ass. He had just decided to charge out when an explosive kunai stuck itself in between himself and the zombies. For a split second he stared at the object, unsure of what it was, then the knowledge of his original came through and he covered his face as the explosion went off. When the dust cleared and rotten parts settled Sigurd was there, standing in the crater he made.
He smiled at Seig as if it were his own brother. "Seems like you could use some help there."
"I could, actually. These dead people have completely taken over the monastery. I fear we'll need to evacuate the island all together. Did you learn anything at the library?"
Sigurd shook his head. "I'm afraid not. What about you?"
"Quite a lot actall--" Zombies by the dozens came rushing through the doors behind Seig on their blind rampage. "Just a second."
Seig ducked low, gripped the IXA in a reverse grip, and then jumped on the spot while releasing a devastating counterclockwise spin with the weapon's bladed edge pointing inward. The result was a lot of heads and limbs popping lose and going skyward. When the touched ground again so did his targets. Sigurd was impressed. Though he was proficient with the sword as well he was one that very often avoided physical exertion. It seems in the few hours Siegfried had been alive his only lesson was to survive and branch off from the mentality of his original. It was like looking at a completely different person now.
Unfolding his IXA as well the two went back to back as the never-ending zombie horde surrounded them.
"Sieg."
"Sig."
With a nod they each lunged forward into the fray. Seig was a bit slower because he had been fighting longer but in no way was he weaker. The two cleaved through the dead on equal strength levels. When a break finally presented itself Sieg got to finish what he was trying to say. "The barrier that surrounds the coffin is impenetrable. The contents of the coffin required a living sacrifice, and the necromancers are incorporeal. Meaning they were either projections or ghosts."
"If they were projections do you think they could have real bodies elsewhere?" Sigurd asked himself.
"Possibly. Though that cannot be proven or disproven given our current understanding of the situation."
"Aye. We best leave this island, don't you think?"
"Couldn't have said it better myself."
The two chuckled at that.
Making one last push through the monastery grounds the two flowed in complete sync as they destroyed the dead. At one point Seig even found himself holding both IXA's as Sigurd got close and personal with a particularly feisty zombie who had tried to bite into his neck. Sigurd had grabbed the thing around its torso and suplexed it hard enough to leave a crack in the ground. The commotion had summoned nearly every zombie on the island to their dismay and the two left a trail of rotting flesh as they fought down to the shore.
Eventually Seig reached his limit and was practically limping. "I've done my duty, it's okay," he protested when Sigurd offered to help.
But of course Sigurd was not having it. After digging up even more explosive kunai he threw them at strategic points in the soil to trigger a collapse that swallowed a significant amount of zombies. With that respite they pushed to the shore where Seig finally gave up and dispersed. It was cold and calculative, and Sigurd expected no less from someone made in his own image.
But the information he got when Seig left told volumes. The clone had wished to live a longer life. He wanted to travel the world and make grand discoveries. He even wanted to create a data server to share with all who sought it. This... thing had yearned for life more that Sigurd had ever.
He took a moment to revel in the memories of his clone. You were one of a kind, Seig.
Finally reaching the top of the building, Noelle can hear whispers coming from one of the rooms nearby. She didn’t want to acknowledge the familiarity of these beings…but they called out to her. She crept closer to the corner of the hallways, silent as a mouse – but as she peeped around the wall to see them. There stood, roughly five meters away, two spirits floating – a man with long white hair and a woman with lush black hair. Noelle resembled them greatly, not by coincidence but simply because, these where her parents. Mirabella, a former shaman herself and her father Hanzo, a former Black One of Hanguri during his time being alive.
The floor boards underneath her foot alerted the two lingering spirits, causing Mirabella to scream out in joy as she saw her daughter. Kya! Noelle! My baby girl is all grown up she said as she crashed into her daughter, strangling her with her love and affection. Noelle, she tried to shake her off but to avail, the death grip of a mother’s love triumphs all. Hanzo came floating behind as he watched over the only two women he ever truly loved reunite after so many years. You’re probably wondering “why” and “how” are we here, as spirits. Come take a seat over here you two, and allow me to explain. her father said as he crossed his arms. Finally, her mom released her grip as the two sat upright and he cleared his throat.
On that night, when the Kyubi was summoned into the city and the wreckage started to happen, I tried my best to return to the two of to make sure your safe…but it was too late. I had found you, Mirabella barely alive and Noelle nowhere to be found…I grew scared and wanted to go look but I wasn’t about to leave your mother alone. It was then as I tried to drag her away, a building gave away as I was turning the corner…there wasn’t much of an option left so I tossed your mother to safety. I was alive even after having my legs crushed, but I summoned a Genki at the last moment as your mother taught me how to as well even doe I never trained with the Katsuroyku. I begged them to look for you, Noelle and to keep you safe, to which it agreed and well…I was left to die there, bleeding out. I deiced that I wanted to speak to you once more, the day you ever was to return home – so sealed a piece of my own soul and your mother’s soul to remain tethered to our bodies. he paused, seeing as the girls were tearing up at the truth. Hanzo was quite taken back, seeing as how Noelle was the spitting image of her mother, damn near identical bar the hair color being a fusion of both parents.
So when you came to Hanguri again, our corpses were among the several to be slain and coincidentally, it was you – thus you released the seal on the corpses. After that, I grabbed your mother and headed upstairs, exerting minor spiritual energy hoping you’d sense it. It would also mean you took up on learning the ways of the Katsuryoku just like you mother as well. It’s sad to say, but we aren’t going to last long here as we are only separated pieces of our original soul. Once the chakra is done, your mother and I will move onto the afterlife. So please, tell us, how you been?
Hanzo gave his daughter the floor. Noelle proceeds to tell them what happened the last seven years. From her journey from countries far west to unknown territories in the east. Both proud parents wept, seeing as their child was no longer a child, but a grown woman. The bodies however began to fade away, as the chakra began to fade. Thank you…Papa…Mama…Ill see you both one day when it’s my time. Until then, I love you both! she said with tears streaming down her eyes. Her parents bodies faded, as they ascended into the sky to reunite with their true souls in the afterlife. Es was sleep for the most part of the story telling but woke up to a sobbing Noelle.
With the reunion over, she cleared her eyes and sensed that Sigurd had left the building while the other man remained as well – there was another soul present too but she had no intentions on dealing with them, instead she cracked her knuckles and jumped out second floor window as she landed onto the ground. Most of the zombie horde was gone, but she figured she’d use this time to rejoin with Sigurd, running out to meet with him. Heading the direction she last sensed his soul, she leaves the Ruins for the time being.
T'is shocking how close to home this was. Dark magic, the sound of an ancient language being spouted about. I wouldn't be surprised if I found Flemeth walking about. My eyes widened upon arrival upon the odd place. Symmetra led the way but she was entirely out her depth, wasn't she? Did she even understand the implications at hand here? Was she prepared for what was to come? During my time under Flemeth, I saw things. 'Twas an experience to say the least. She dabbled in all manner of things ranging from messing around with dead animals to boiling the corpses of Muggles. All under the banner of experimentation. Or so I thought at the time. How naive I was. Now being exposed to the outside world, perhaps Flemeth really was what the Muggles labeled her. A crazy old woman who once carried the powers of an old god. The reincarnation of an age old dragon. A Maleficarum.
I looked toward Symmetra and smiled. She knew I was the one to help in a situation like this, and I couldn't help but be more willing. Perhaps this could lead me down the rabbit hole I needed. Something I needed to do in order to find what I was looking for. Perhaps I could extend my capabilities too.
"Well what I do is what Flemeth told me. Perhaps they were but tales but they do seem oddly relevant now. Hundreds years ago, before even Muggles roamed this place a small group existed. These individuals carried the capability to conjure all sorts of things and utilize their chakra in ways previously unknown. They could summon forth entities as well, or so it was said. This does sound oddly familiar to what I can do, however I am limited to creating entities that I control. Bringing back the dead is beyond even my prowess. Perhaps we need to investigate the ruins to see more? Find out how these..things exist. Because it must be due to something unnatural. Perhaps even very old."
I stated. This was not just magus that was capable of conjuring forth living entities. No. This was something very old. Very experienced. Could it be? The Fade? A place Flemeth only mentioned every once in a while? No, impossible. Utilizing a very simple and arbitrary technique, I could easily look into what was going on without risking me and Symmetra being seen. Grabbing a few rocks from the ground, I focused my chakra into them forming them into small bird like entities. These four stone like birds quickly take flight and burst into 4 directions around me and Symmetra. The ruins were by no means small in scale and this allowed me to easily venture the area.
Being inextricably linked to my vision, the birds allowed me to see everything occurring around the ruins. With the bird making its way to the south, it quickly picked up a large variety of individuals around the ruins. These weren't all of normal origin however. Some individuals seemed a bit..odd. Could it be the revived corpses? The dark night and thick mist did conceal much however I could make out the chanting, which didn't sound too familiar or like any spell I know. Nonetheless, they weren't the only ones around. The others, perhaps normal Muggles, were also littered here and there.
While of course, trying to keep themselves concealed as well. For good reason. If something here was revived, we wouldn't want to be caught now, would we? Perhaps these revived things posed a threat of some sort, beside their annoying chanting? None of the individuals seemed particularly interesting, however. The bird to the north picked up what seemed to be some odd lighting. Perhaps one taking refuge and deemed light to be a good source to protect himself from the odd entities that exist here? An interesting note to keep and something to further explore. The bird to the east picked up nothing in particular beside a few lifeless bodies, much less than ones littered around in other areas. Quiet, for such a large place on that side, perhaps a good escape route if need be.
"Well, it seems we ought to head toward some sort of lighting I saw. I couldn't make it out, with this thick mist and all. Follow my lead."
I stated to Symmetra as I aimed to keep moving. With the birds having scouted ahead, I created a mental map of how I should proceed. Perhaps traveling as an animal would quicker, however, it might alert the wrong presence upon my usage of Mahou in this place..My eyes squinted as I kept to the dark corners and corridors. I was quiet accustomed to moving as a shadow, having practiced during my time as an underling beneath Flemeth as we stole innocent Muggles from the roads. The good old days, weren't they?
With haste, I kept to the shadows. Crossing over structures and dashing across areas like a cat, Symmetra followed suit. Together we were like vipers in the grass. Our presence unknown to others and our investigation would soon reach an interesting point. The eerie factor of the entire city took a large bump upward as we came across what seemed to be a large building from which the lighting emanated. Of course, scattered about were the corpses revived. How odd to see them up close...their clothes tattered and their bodies rotting. Just how were these individuals capable of doing this..or person, if it were that strong. This would require the strongest of magic, wouldn't it? Turning to Symmetra I state.
"This building seems to be of special interest. Perhaps we shall take a look inside."
Saying as I quickly aim to seek a way in without alerting our revived friends. Perhaps a distraction of sorts? While perhaps easily handled between Symmetra and I, we ought to first seek what the cause is before going on rampage. Squinting my eyes, I quickly focus my Fire based chakra to an area in the far off area, aiming to attract the attention of the wild dead. With a sudden focus, an explosion would occur, much akin to one from an explosive tag. The fire suddenly expands and dims down, creating enough noise to cause the dead to rush to the site of the noise. Interesting, they were quite fast. Ceasing the opportunity, Symmetra and I dashed across the courtyard and entered the building.
The lighting seemed to only be stronger as we got closer. Our cover now null, however, the distraction did allow us to ward off any odd reanimated folk. We would seek to go closer, walking slowly, wand in hand. Symmetra was of course, quite focused as well and as quiet as ever. Deeper and deeper into the building we ventured and the hairs on the back of my neck stood. 'Twas quite an experience. Could a Muggle be this dangerous? This odd? Wield such power? If so, I had yet much to learn of them. The source of the light came closer and closer, and upon reaching the final area, I merely peeked toward Symmetra as I opened the door...
"My, my..."
Shocked I stood. My eyes widened upon the sight of a thick yet translucent barrier. But that wasn't what caught my attention. Within the barrier, an odd coffin. It hung suspended in the air. Around it, the oddest of figures. Four, clearly defined forms. Their bodies seemed oddly ethereal. Were they perhaps, not in this plane? Having dabbled with Yin release, I could see spirits from beyond, perhaps even otherworldly beings...were they some sort of form or type of this? The shock on Symmetra face seemed to denounce the fact that she could see them too. They seemed to spout a similar chant than one heard outside. Were they the originators and perhaps the ones who orchestrated this entire ordeal? I turned to Symmetra, telling her what I thought.
"They don't seem to notice our presence, Symmetra. From what I understand, these beings are not on this plane, at least not their bodies. The covering there seems to be a barrier of sorts. How strong it is, we have yet to find out. However, their ways of conducting this ritual..I believe they may be a sub section of an Apostate, a mage of sorts that dabbled in..darker magic. It seems they may be Maleficar and may be seeking to draw power from the Fade to bring about unspeakable chaos to this world."
I stated. She probably wouldn't understand it entirely, but the awe on my face might deem to be a necessary warning that this was not commonplace.
"Flemeth always stated;
Magic exists to serve man, and never to rule over him.
Foul and corrupt are they
Who have taken His gift
And turned it against His children.
They shall be named Maleficar, accursed ones.
They shall find no rest in this world
Or beyond.
Sounds oddly reminiscent of the ones before us, don't they? What ought we do?"
I asked with a smile on my face.

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 30
Description: This technique allows a user to create a forward aimed and oxygen enhanced explosion. As this technique has been designed without the use of hand seals and to be performed at extremely close range, it has potential lethality if it strikes a solid hit on an opponent. It's explosive nature has been gauged to be roughly the same as an explosive tag with the explosion projected forward instead of the normal omnidirectional behavior.
Kazumi couldn't help but hear even more people gathering and the sounds of battle. Whether these people were good or bad she didn't know, but she would face them head on. Before doing so, she would take a spare ink brush she had, a bit clumbsier and hard to use than a pen, and write down a note on a piece of parchment.
Dear Rhaenys,
I hope this message reaches you before the evil has been let loose, for I go now to fight it. The Ruins of Chungsu have become a hive of activity with ninja, walking dead and some strange creatures performing a ritual on a tomb within it's monastery. You were always a guiding light to me, even after I married my husband. Without you, we never would have started that clan, nor founded the village.
I leave everything in the clan, the village and all my possessions to you. I hope you can protect them and be there for them as much as I tried.
I hope your brother and sister also find time to try to make peace in this world, as we sorely need it.
You taught me what it meant to be a positive influence on people, how far you should be willing to go to protect and fight for your clan. I've learnt that peace is the noblest of aspirations, but sometimes you have to fight for it.
Yours always,
Kazuzmi Mishima,
Former head of the Mishima Zaibatsu
Kazumi rolled up the scroll and summoned forth a normal looking slug.
I need you to make sure that this arrived to Rhaenys Targeryon. Can you do that?
Yes ma'am.
Kazumi inserted the scroll into the mouth of the slug as it looked away back to its forrest.
Kazumi too a deep breath, looking at the moon once more and jumped down out of the tree to fight the hordes head on.
