Even kakashi with his low chakra could open until 2 gates.

The edited scans are predictions l of what will happen to obito and madara if they fought prime hiruzen.
The other scans are from manga and I didn't edit them.

Prime hiruzen is at hogoromo level while sasuke and Naruto are at indura and ashura level so prime hiruzen is still stronger than them judging from his previous feats of taking down both hokage at once, mastered all konoha jutsu and praised as strongest hokage that ever lived ..

What I mean is that he should opt to use the 7th instead of the 8th. Of course he knows the 8th. But 7th in prime form would make him nearly unstoppable.
