I voted Itachi Uchiha cause there is just no comparison you know?! Of course he would win ! I mean he got Amaterasu Tsukoyomi AND Susano'o, furthermore he's extremely fast and good at throwing knives and taijutsu !

How could pain beat him hu? Rinnegan what ? That thing wouldn't stand a chance against a skilled MS user!!! Look at Tobi manipulating him! With a regular sharingan!

I'm not too sure how he would endure genjutsu's... Amaterasu, he would be carefull against it and would protect that guy which resurrects the other ones away from it. The fight would obviously last cause Itachi would have to find a way to make his attacks worth it, and quite frankly... I don't think he had Naruto's stamina. (Especially when boosted with multiple Sage modes)
Once Itachi goes on a rampage with Susano'o (cause I'm sure even Pain would drop his jaw somewhere once he sees that thing!) he just does what he did to kyubi... And bam Itachi goes crushed I believe.

But he would have put quite a show before going out!! So I still love him more!

If any Pain touches susano'o's sword, they get sealed. It's just the way it works.
It is likely that Pain can push/pull Amaterasu, but no chance of doing that with Susano'o, seeing how it's defense is really ultimate.
Yes, Susano'o sword will permanently seal pain's bodies. And it is unlikely that Pain can revive anything back or that he will even have time to do it.

In conclusion I would say nice debate and I think we both have to agree that there is no clear winner in this battle. It can go to anyone. We can leave it like that.

this is a very tough one because they are both at kage level and they are incredibly strong. i would say it would end up being a draw but the question is could itachis amataresu be stopped by the path of pain gakido who can suck up incredibly powerful ninjutsus like rasenshuriken and jiraiyas huge rasengan. could the god realm path tendo stop itachis raging god of battle sussano with almighty push and universal pull? theres no way in hell the paths of pain would counter itachis tskuyomi because it is impossible to beat. would the path of pain ningendo beat itachi at taijutsu? lots of questions pop up but i think it will be a draw.

Now I know Sasuke's Susano'o isn't Itachi's susano'o, nor is it at the same level... but it's susano'o, nonetheless. If a weaker version of it can be knocked out by a punch, I'm sure a stronger version of it can be knocked out by a more powerfull attack. Like let's say... mmmm Chibuka tensei... The Susano'o would be sucked in a mini moon, wouldn't be crushed maybe (I somehow doubt that) but even if it doesn't... I don't think it can get out of it... Then how do you suppose Itachi wins from there ?

smh.. i just now thought of it.. when itachi gets someone in tsukiomi it last some seconds to him, but 3 days too the other person right?.. my point is, is that it targets ones mind (in a sense) but jmans genjutsu was a spl genjutsu un-like any one we have seen.. jmans genjutsu is a paralyze genjutsu, that allowed him to stab the other pains with out resistance

my point is, it was never stated in the manga that the tsukiomi paralyzes or makes them incapable of moving (the pain bodys feel 0 pain and do not suffer). but it was stated that jmans gen is a spl paralyzing gen and thats why they couldnt move.. so as far as we know nobody can really make an argument for the tsukiomi that it would kill them all.. as for the susanoo, it has to PIERCE THE USER

ANT!!!!!!! wrong! it dosnt seal on contact and that is a fact!! it has to pierce to seal! and the shield doent work like you said it does, it just deflects atks. the chibaku tensei is less then an atk and more of a prison/incasement. it isnt designed to atk, it is design to suck you up and crush you! it would suck up the WHOLE SUSANOO, and it would trap it along with the shield and sword. unless susanoo had imense chakra and strengh like the kyuubi (which he is far from it) he will not last long from the chibaku's pressure that will continue to grow and the presure will get worse..

not possible, not even the streght of the 6 tails could break out, not only that, naruto skipped 7 tails to go to 8 tails to break out of it. and still was kinda traped. i have yet to see any character that has the power of the 8 tails, let alone itachis susanoo. you cant prove that any susanoo (old or new or some ones else) had more power then 8tails kyuubi! it didnt even show streth, it used those weapons the whole time

Yeah. Good stuff. Nice research. One problem though: Itachi's genjutsu attacks the mind. Jirayia's genjutsu was sound based which I'm guessing affects your balance somehow and also for some reason stuns you. But Itachi's genjutsu is much more powerful than that. And my point to all of this is the next one -> if Itachi traps any pain under his genjutsu, it means that if affects the minds of all (They both share one vision). The reason why jirayia only trapped a few is because it's obvious that they don't share the same hearing. It's just the vision, which arguably means that Itachi can trap all of them at once. I know that nothing is demonstrated, but before deciding to write 'but no one can prove that' and so on, take a moment and think logically: a sound genjutsu affects the hearing, which is different in each of the pains, while the sharingan genjutsu affects the mind, but penetrates through the eyes, which they ALL share. So if one of them sees Itachi, they all do => they all get trapped in a genjutsu. I think it's very logical.
With that said, I still think we don't have a clear winner. Whoever makes the first mistake loses.
