If you merge with something being blown to shit, you'll be blown to shit as well, and Hiding Like a Mole won't work if he can't get deep enough underground in time, which he can't do as Bijuu Dama moves as fast as FRS, which crossed the Chibaku Tensei crater in a matter of seconds. Don't mention Pain evading it, as he narrowly did so both times. If that was a Bijuu Dama the explosion would have eradicated him.

Still, Mayfly is an extemely fast transportation method as shown when Zetsu traveled 10km distance not much slower than Obito who used instant Kamui teleportation. Now compare 10km to a few tens of meters of distance between Orochimaru and Bee. TBB or even TBB Barrage is the worst thing he could do here, since if he does use it he will have his vision obscured and will be vulnerable to undeground attacks - look Kabuto vs Shizune.

Bee isn't blitzing anyone here with anything. Especially Zetsu Orochimaru with quite a few separate sensory and mitigation abilities. Not to mention that Bee never starts off his fights with TBB or even Bijuu cloak, which leaves him vulnerable to poison, Cursed Seal or any Oro's sneak attack in his disposal.
