There's a difference between faith and suicidally deluded. How is it at ALL realistic for Sanji to think that Luffy and the others are ready to handle Kaido, Big Mom, and the Germa Army all at once? Again, even Zoro was saying they needed to wisen the hell up and realize that they weren't ready for two Yonko, and this is without the knowledge of the Germa Army, so WHY would Sanji think for a second they could handle all three?
You act like people can't have an opinion without having better alternatives for the story..
Oda is an artistic genius. So he could've made this go down differently IF he wanted to..
Capone didn't have to arrive on Zou when he did.. imagine if he had arrived when Luffy and the others were there..
Oda is purposely portraying Sanji this way.. for his own reasons.. and it could very well be so that Sanji does something epic af by the end of the arc and surprise us all and make us give him our respect again.. Oda works in mysterious ways.. but it always works..
Simply put, because they are the StrawHat pirates.

Right, because if Kuma was an enemy, saying that would have stopped him. Like how saying that would have stopped Kizaru. Like how saying that would have saved Ace. I guess the two years of training was useless because hey, they're the Strawhats, and Sanji is aware of Main Character Plot Armor.
The Robin case wasn't even remotely similar to this case where Sanji has to worry about two Yonko and the Germa army going after him and Zeff. Sanji is literally forcing himself to believe a lie so he wouldn't upset Pudding and piss off Big Mom further.
How desperate do you have to be to disregard Oda's writing just to shit on a character.

I literally said it, he needs to not look like a pansy for one. Submitting with a smile on your face (when facing the enemy who kidnapped you, the very reason behind this all) is disgusting behaviour.

Sanji this arc so far isn't shit compared to his past self.. and that is what some of us are dissapointed about.
Calm down, Sanji's year only started in may, before that we were still on Zou. so we're in the build up part of his arc. These things take time for the big climax. Sanji will be the star in the end.

In the face of an overwhelming enemy, Luffy WOULD leave to fight another day. When they were being overwhelmed on Sabaody, it was Luffy who said they needed to stop worrying about fighting and get away. Sanji is well aware that Luffy can realize when he absolutely has to leave.
