i mean i watch this anime i then learn there is a rubber fruit which a character ate and is now elastic and all stretchy names like captain buggy i mean wth what do people see in such anime
One Piece is no where near naruto
1) If you haven't read and/or seen all the chapters and episodes, you have absolutely no right whatsoever to say something like that as that means you're completely ignorant whatsoever or how else would you call yourself? I mean what you're doing is no different then criticizing a football match you didn't even see. How can you say that OP is nowhere near Naruto if your knowledge about OP is zero? Only ignorant and arrogant people do that. You don't even know the name of the main character apparently =/
2) OP has some childish aspects, however by no means it's just "childish". My Little Ponies and Diego are childish, OP isn't. The theme's it has are way more mature than Naruto. Yes in terms of logical reasoning OP is a bit childish as in Naruto things like using fire are explained by an entire chakra mechanism. In OP you can be fire itself by just eating a certain fruit and in OP some people survive even extremely weird and fatal injuries without a real explanation like having a steering wheel stuck in your head. But you know what, that childish aspect isn't bad, it's part of OP's charm, it's one of the reasons it's so popular. If you actually don't like that, it means you're really boring with an imagination that's as dry as a cucumber in the Sahara desert. As placing aside that childish aspect, the theme's OP has are way more mature and recognizable than any Naruto theme.
For example an important theme in the current arc goes is racism, even though it's by showing a completely fictional type of racism, it's very easy to draw a parallel with real racism. On top of that it's shown in a way it's enjoyable to read and not like some grown up boring moral lesson. Other theme's have been human slavery, clear social differences. It's actually way more mature in that aspect than Naruto as Naruto simply doesn't have such mature theme's outside universal things that have been chewed on countless of times.
3) What we see in it? It's overall seen just way better than Naruto
- Extremely detailed. Not only just in the artwork, but also in the background and development of characters. I mean even minor characters get a certain amount of attention. In Naruto you see continuously new ninja in the current war, however a quick snapshot is the only thing they will ever get. While in OP, even if they don't say a word, you see the same character appearing on several occasions, which makes it way more realistic. Also characters that once had an important role and seemingly disappeared, suddenly come back in a new context, making the character look different.
- It really looks like Oda knew exactly how he wanted his story, even though there have been moment he actually just came up with ideas in the middle of the story, he writes OP like he really knows what he wants. The current arc is related to one of the oldest OP arcs from around 500 chapters ago and they perfectly fit. Not a single contradiction, unlike Naruto. He can also give an enormous amount of information in one chapter about different characters. At a certain point he was following around 20 characters on different places at the same time and still the story progressed.
- Oda can even kill characters of which you would curse anyone who would dare to kill him and can get away with it, making it perfectly acceptable. That's something not much mangaka's can.
- Unlike Naruto, OP really doesn't have much haters. There are continuously people who follow Naruto, but hate that character or are complaining about that event...that rarely happens with OP. There are always people who are not satisfied with something, but rarely actually haters.
- Oda can fit an extremely large amount of action in one chapter.
- His characters are all clearly unique.
- Not much fillers in the anime.
- Oda succeeded in a really good "power gauge", something where most people fail due to what I call the DBZ-effect. In DBZ Goku can barely beat Raditz, his power lvl is actually extremely low (only a few hundreds and that after fighting all this life). At the end of DBZ it was somewhere in the billions. Oda made it so that Luffy isn't OP and that he just doesn't win everything. He made it perfectly clear that one character can clearly defeat another character and that character then can beat a character that beat the first character. As a result it's easier to create VS threads in OP than it ever will be in Naruto.
It looks childish. I started watching it, but it has no plot development or anything. All the episodes are just random, wtf, jumbled together. I know everyone says OP is amazing, I just haven't seen it yet.
They aren't. The plot is develops in the least as much as in Naruto and the episodes in Naruto are way more random than in OP, which is clearly proven that even the oldest of arcs can suddenly play again a major role in the most recent one.
I know that the first chapters/episodes might seem childish and not appealing, but that's with a lot of manga's, including Naruto. Mangaka's evolve and so does their artwork. I was already caught soon by the character Roronoa Zoro and I really got caught by the story itself starting from the Barati arc.
maybe thats the problem about op, is that you have to get in the middle just to enjoy it, as soon as i watched naruto i was hooked, and it was a manga, kakashi vs zabuzu, i was like 14, then i watched the when they became team 7, the naruto story is pretty good in my opinion, i see nothing wrong but the many fillers,
You don't have to get into the middle, you only need to get passed the first few chapters/episodes.
i will give it a shot, it just annoys me that he ate a fruit to get his power, but ill watch it one episode at a time, but im always put naruto on number 1, and bleach i also like fullmetal as you can tell, but ill see if i can throw op up there
what you think about bleach?
lol i hope he knows raseangan
but those sales are through the rough, but people have to admit, naruto is a good series to keep up with, but i cant hate on op, because real talk luffy is bad azz :|
What's wrong with eating a fruit and gaining its power? yes it seems childish, but if you read the entire manga it's really something very clever. On top of that it's no different then getting a KG. Especially because you still need to learn to use the fruit. Once again after 580 chapters we suddenly saw that Luffy had done years of training to actually use his fruit, while originally it was even mocked as being utterly useless. You also don't know how two DF actually mix up.
naruto ranks #1 in the world dont it anyway "one pice of shit" is a retard show just looks to dum 2 me some of the charaters in the show just look stupid.
Well if you didn't read it, it means by default you're extremely ignorant as how can you formulate such an opinion if you don't know what you're talking about? You just based that on seeing a few pictures? Now that's just childish, so it's really surprising that you wouldn't like OP.
Read it. If you then still hate it, say it again by stating real arguments and not just some empty, mindless fodder.
