Pretty much agreed i am also turning towards this since it is the only theory that would explain how madara knew Nagato...

I think it was his plan to die sometime late and be revived by nagato or something like that thus what he said the moment he was revived...
But would still not explain his exact words...
"Little brat nagato finally grows??"

What i find intriguing here is that this tobi guy knew that kushina was giving birth that night when it was to be a pretty top secret event known only to hiruzen and minato and hiruzen's wife along with a select few people...
How come tobi a guy who is not part of the village just happens to come across this secret place???
Seems highly unlikely....

I think we are pretty close to the truth, although in the end it might just be bullshit again, and we are all wrong... hahaha...

Both seem right but the Eldest Son Theory needs some more info I guess. Until more info about Madara's death show's up than I would give some feedback. Nice for the input.

Tobi is still madara. Zetsu implanted madara cells into a zetsu copy. Technically now there are two madaras. You see, in many chapters we have known/received evidence that Tobi was part zetsu. The fact that Zetsu can actually implant cells creating a new person/copy of another body makes this theory highly possible. The fact that kabuto could black mail Tobi so easily and the fact that madara was actually summoned makes the theory even more possible.

I'm pretty sure danzo thought he could control the kyuubi.Sasuke also saw through naruto in the start of the shippuden series,so i don't think it is only limited to madara.

So you propose that Tobi tried using Nagato to summon madara with rinne tensie before but failed....and thats when madara knows about nagato...

But would that not in turn imply that nagato knew tobi was not madara uchiha??

Quite possibly, for a long period of time, he was going by Tobi, even Kabuto said your going by the name of Madara now after showing "Tobi" the 6th coffin, and still continued to refer to him as Madara. Obviously Kabuto knew otherwise. What's to say that Nagato, didn't help conceal Tobi's true identity also.

They were the only known people capable of controlling a bijuu, riddle me this, If no one else could control Bijuu then who is TOBI?

That's exactly what I am using to support Tobi = Madara , although I don't know how could there be 2 souls of Madara at the same time.

Really? Show me a statement in the manga that says Izuna is Tobi. You can't because there isn't one. Go spout some nonsense elsewhere.

It wouldn't be that masterful of a twist if you guessed it.

Tobi has personal knowledge and experience that only Madara would have. Not from Izuna, not even from sage 1st son, but Madara

everyone guessed that it would be madara in the coffin.

Maybe ToBi is a completely Black Zetsu?

Well, this is just a theory if mine about ToBi. Havent done theories in a while xd. Aside from me believing Izuna is ToBi, here's an altenative.

Maybe ToBi is the original, full Black Zetsu? Zetsus' are able to make complete replica of ninja they come into physical contact with, so perhaps ToBi is just a full Black Zetsu who masquerades as Madara because he is a severly imperfect copy who can pass off as Madara, because they share similar abilities ( Taming the Fox for instance ) to an extent?

As for the space time ninjutsu, maybe Black Zetsu are capable of this? White Zetsu can phase in and out of the earth at any place, at anytime, so maybe the Black Zetsu can phase through Time/Space as White Zetsu do with the Earth?
What do you guys think? I'm pretty sure I left something out because my brain is moving a little fast, but I'll adress the posible flaws once they surface.

It can't be Zetsu unless you can prove zetsus where abouts since the famous battle of Madara and Hashirama.

Tobi had knowledge only Madara himself would know. Even if Zetsu copied him he wouldn't e able to copy his memories, experience, knowledge and it could be even possible that Zetsu wouldn't be able to copy a kenkkai genkai like the sharingan.

I know Madara was just ressurected but if anything Tobi is Madaras will, rememants of his spirit or soul transferred to another body (this is where a Zetsu clone comes in). But there's no way a Zetsu could have faked being Madara and impersonate his knowledge.

Imo

A regular Shadow Clone has the memories of the person they are a clone of. & if Madara did make a Zetsu clone of himself he would have made sure he remembered what happened before. So that he would continue his plans.

& I never said Tobi's Sharingan was a copy he could have easily of had Madara's Sharingans transplanted . Madara's Soul wasn't transferred because he wouldn't be able to be Summoned by Kabuto. But he does have his memories & his will.


& I just thought of a way that a Zetsu clone of Madara could have his memories is he put a part of him in the clone like the 4ht did with himself & Kushina when he sealed himself in Naruto

whoever it is they have an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, (which dose not necessarily mean an Uchiha) and seen as the process needed to obtain one is elaborate and only supposed to have occurred once or twice (requiring siblings and such) i'd say its safer to assume that whoever this is stole the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan from madaras corpse.

Unlikely to be obito seen as whoever this is has been posing as madara for a fairly long time 16 years + at least (though I seem to remember it being mentioned as alot longer than that!)... only thing that could very slightly maybe mean it might be Obito is that when he was crushed he might have had a power activation that allowed him to pass though the rocks covering him... maybe?... hence this phasing power?...naaahh that's stupid and silly!)

So:
1. older character, and
2. probably stole the EMS from Madaras corpse!

That's the extent of my deduction for now!

Nice to have a ZOMG! kinda moment in the manga again... was getting a bit disinterested in it recently! :/

p.s. Hope its not some kind of hurrpy durrpy "he did die" cop out so he can exist twice

cous that tobi can't face madara with 3t sharingan doing so wil jeoperdize the plan but when he get the rinnengan he is not scared anymore. And how does he knew nagato if he died at vote and why does he expect nagato to to revive him if didn't plan that? If u can't answer stfu.
