[Question] Oda. Do you think he can keep One Piece on this quality level for another decade?

1. chakra aka nen, the exams with a pedo and scrolls aka number plates, sasuke aka killua+kurapika, ... though Kishi's best arc is original

2. you can't introduce a side-villain like enel 100 chapters prior and you can't introduce the last villain like Kaguya (or maybe more are gonna pop up) in the very last second (not even a droplet before that), if you wanna make a parallel of Kaguya to OP think BB or Akainu or the Gorosei, it's like if JK Rowling wrote in chapter 20 of the deathly hallows ''oh yea and BTW the main bad guy is this guy named Voldemort, he killed harry's parents ...'' and that would be the first we heard of him

3. it's common knowledge that Toriyama wanted to finish DB on several occasions and it's no secret that DB is very inconsistent, it might be a nostalgia-favorite but you won't fool anyone by saying it's good story-telling

1.) By your logic, everyone copies off of HxH because theres a version of "nen" in a lot of manga. Haki, reitsu, ki, manna, etc. The whole "nen" thing has been done before "nen" was even introduced.
Sasuke and Killua are similar. Kishimoto obviously got inspiration from Killua, but the characters are different and Sasuke's back story is deeper endowed in the plot.
Like I said, the similarities are not so strongly plot relevant.
2. Actually throughout the whole manga, the antagonists were trying to resurrect the ten tails. The juubi is Kaguya herself so in essence, Kaguya has been here for the long run. Also rikudo sennin was introduce very early on and Kaguya is Hagoromo's mother so she's is connected. She just wasn't prevalent to the plot because the Sage of the six paths origins were not revealed yet.
Now that the sage himself has been wrapped into the story along with the juubi, Kaguya becomes more relevant to the plot. Kaguya is also the doorway to the original of chakra so technically, she's been around since chapter 1.

3. Good story writing is not something that you can decide for someone else. If you thought it was bad then oh well but thae might not be the way others see it. Your perception of bad story writing is bias. You can say all this crap about other series when things like that are just as prevalent in One Piece.

First of all, I don't know why it has to be set in stone that OP will last for a decade. It could end sooner or last longer. It depends how Oda deals with all of the cards.

Is it possible to continue for another 10 years? Most certainly.
There's a lot of stuff to be covered (revolutionaries, remaining kingdoms (there were 20, I believe?), ancient weapons, Mariejoa/celestial dragons, void century/ancient kingdom, Vegapunk, the remaining Yonkou storylines, all blue, Straw Hats' parents (hopefully))... All these things (and there's a lot more that I might be missing) have to culminate at some point (i.e. One Piece).

Take Dressrosa for example... It has lasted for more than 15 months and the arc is still going pretty damn strong. I'm sure we'll get at least 5-7 more arcs after this one.

PS: Yeah, there's always a minor possibility of author losing his touch. While I don't (like/want to) believe it'll happen to Oda, I sincerely hope that it doesn't get to that point where he has to stretch/drag anything unnecessarily.

I think there is more to it than that. If it is explored, I think it can easily add a 100 chapters to the tally.

Oda is not your average Mangaka Comparing him with the likes of Kishimoto whose long lost his marble is unthinkable, so far he's doing just fine where all the mangaka at this point is pretty much out of idea and started pulling their massive asspul,

So yeah oda can maintain the quality of one piece and perhaps bring it to a whole new level, after all he's still have plenty things to do,
The suspense is just getting stronger and stronger.

OP started before Naruto, it was good
Middle, OP was interesting, so was Naruto
Then, Naruto started becoming shitty while OP was getting better.
Right now, Naruto has become a stupid tale while OP is ****ing epic.
In years time, OP will come to its climax and everyone will realise....Oda is the god of mangaka.
Deal with it.

Yes he can. I don't see Oda taking a manga about pirates and turning it into a manga about aliens and sh*t *cough* Kishi * cough*

OP has been on longer than Bleach and Nardo and its still going strong.

A filler episode of naruto>>>>>>>>>whole fairy tail

nah, though many arcs in FT are actually better than what is currently happening in Naruto and the idiotic Obito moments (the ones with Rin and his talk and b????ing with Naruto) are actually worse than the moment when Sting gave up at the tournament

though if there was no war arc Naruto would ofc be better than FT, but Kishi fd up

those chapters of Naruto (the Obito pile of retarded horse-s??t) were so bad I couldn't finish them in one go, and I'm not the only one, Obito is a pathetic pile of ???? that ruined a year of Naruto manga XD

edit: hmmmmmmmmmmmm it's much easier to just say the first thing that comes to my mind when talking to these ppl, I've decided I'm giving up on rational conversation or manners, just a waste of time with these ppl

edit 2: it's also a lot more fun XD

Oda plans though. And is still currently planning.
He already has the final war pictured in his head at the very least. Plus if Oda does get a little senile in the last few years of One Piece he will have so much epic sh*t to do it won't matter.

Well let's hope so; the man gets only 3 hours of sleep everyday. I don't think it's possible to survive on that and he's planning on doing it for another 10 years.

Well he's been doing it since 1997 so...
For that amount of time no doubt his body will be used to it. I might mess up his schedule more if he did start sleeping for longer periods.

He's been doing the same thing thus far.. Naruto never dropped in "quality"..
Well yeah it has with the final war arc.

It has huge significance to Robin's goal & the will of D.

OT: Yes he can. Oda pretty much stated in an interview that the final arc would make MF look like nothing and MF is arguably one of the best arcs.

No. This is why everyone hates OP fans. Nothing in Naruto has changed. The fans have changed. Like I said, the Naruto hype has gone down, and now people are ONLY looking at the Naruto series critically rather than actually developing their own opinions. Everything Naruto is immediately looked down upon just because its been hyped up too much. This is exclusive to Narutobase-like sites where opinipns are thrpwn around changing other peoples ideals. This isnt something going on globally, otherwise it would be reflected in the Naruto sales which have been steady for years.

The same thing will happen to One Piece, I can promise you. You fans keep wanking away until you feel like you've finally done enough wanking that you feel that it's time to think critically.

yea, no, it's pretty straight-forward, for a lot of ppl Naruto has simply lost the touch it had before the Pain arc ended, I've been a fan for almost 9 years, and in 4 years on this forum (and elsewhere in teh fandom) you could actually see how the fans were reacting to the war arc and how much disappointment there was

but you can keep telling yourself that little story if it makes you feel better

and please do explain again why everyone hates us
